Chapter 400

"You!" Bella looked furious. "Mr. Clinton, you can't just defend Miss Drake because she's your girlfriend, can you?"

Felix looked at her coldly. "If I don't defend my girlfriend, should I defend you instead?"

Bella's face turned grim. "Mr. Clinton, don't change the subject. We're talking about Cassidy's necklace right now!"

Felix said, "I've already said, if you want to search her bag, bring out the evidence."

Bella pursed her lips and looked at Felix coldly. "Mr. Clinton, if you don't cooperate, we'll have to call the police. If things get out of hand, it won't look good for anyone."

"Are you threatening me?" Felix's expression was icy, and his gaze at Bella sent chills down her spine.

Bella retorted, "This is not a threat, just a reminder, Mr. Clinton. If we resolve this here, it can be settled privately. But if the police get involved, who knows if Miss Drake can walk away unscathed."

Felix looked at her coldly, a glint of frost in his eyes.

At that moment, Constance spoke up, "Then call the police."

Everyone looked at her in disbelief and started whispering.

"Could it really not be her? Otherwise, how would she dare to call the police?"

"Maybe she's just trying to play the victim. The necklace might not even be on her anymore."

"That's a bit much to say. After all, you don't have any evidence proving Constance stole it!"

Bella's lips curled into a smile. She thought, 'Since Constance wants to make trouble for herself, I'll help her out!'

Bella said, "Miss Drake, I hope you won't regret this."

Constance's expression was indifferent. "If you're going to call the police, do it quickly. Don't waste everyone's time."

"Fine." Bella dialed the police and explained the situation. The police said they would arrive shortly.

While waiting for the police, Fiona sent Bella a message: [Miss Redstone, everything is set. Once the police arrive, Constance won't be able to explain her way out of this.]

Bella deleted the message after reading it, a smile playing on her lips.

Bella thought, 'The View family in Thundertop, though not as powerful as the Drake family, is not a family to be trampled on. Once the police finds the necklace in Constance's bag, the View family will make sure Constance is taught a lesson. All I have to do is to watch from the sidelines.'

The thought of Constance being taken away by the police made her heart race with excitement.

Soon, the police arrived.

Since there were no cameras in the venue, the police had to ask about the situation.

Most people had no impression of Cassidy's necklace, except for Fiona, who told the police she saw Constance put the necklace in her bag.

The police approached Constance, about to speak, when Constance said, "Officer, I want to report that someone secretly put Cassidy's necklace in my bag."

The crowd erupted.

"Did I hear that right? Cassidy's necklace is really in her bag?"

"This Constance is something else. Looks like she's trying to frame someone else for stealing the necklace!"

"Constance really has nerves of steel, claiming someone else put the necklace in her bag!"

Constance ignored the chatter, opened her bag, and handed it to the police.

Cassidy's missing necklace was indeed in her bag.

Bella sneered, thinking, 'Let's see how she explains this now. Constance is so foolish to open her bag for the police.'

The police looked grim, frowning. "Miss Drake, you claim someone deliberately put this necklace in your bag?"

Constance nodded, speaking seriously. "When I went to the restroom, someone bumped into me. I thought it was an accident, but as soon as I returned to the venue, someone accused me of stealing Cassidy's necklace. And that person was the one who bumped into me at the restroom door."

Fiona's eyes flashed with panic, and she gritted her teeth. "Constance! Don't make things up!"

Constance smiled. "I didn't say it was you who bumped into me. Why are you confessing?"

"You!" Fiona's eyes were filled with anger as she glared at Constance but said nothing more.

Bella stepped forward, smiling. "Miss Drake, the necklace was found in your bag. You claim someone secretly put it there. Do you have any evidence?"

Constance smiled. "If I dare to say someone put it there, I naturally have evidence! I've never seen this necklace, let alone stolen it. So there can't be my fingerprints on it."

As soon as she finished speaking, Fiona's face changed, and she began to tremble.

She hadn't expected Constance to be so clever. When she stole Cassidy's necklace, she had indeed forgotten about fingerprints.

If the police tested the necklace, they would surely find her fingerprints, and she would be done for.

Bella's face also changed. "Miss Drake, the necklace was found in your bag. That's a fact, right?"

Constance raised an eyebrow. "Yes, but so what?"

Bella said, "As long as you admit it. You could have wiped your fingerprints off after stealing Cassidy's necklace."

Constance smiled. "Miss Redstone, you're right. But how do you explain why her fingerprints are on the necklace?"

As she finished speaking, Constance pointed at Fiona, her eyes cold. "She stole Cassidy's necklace and secretly put it in my bag, trying to frame me."

Noticing the crowd's gaze, Fiona finally panicked. "No! It wasn't me! I didn't do it!"

Constance raised an eyebrow, her expression indifferent. "Are you sure you don't want to tell the truth? If your fingerprints are found on the necklace, its value alone could get you five years in prison."

Bella's face changed drastically, about to speak, but Fiona lost her composure. "I don't want to go to jail! Bella made me do it!"

Bella was furious. "You're lying! Why would I make you do such a thing? You just can't stand Constance and want to frame me! I warn you, if you keep lying, I won't let the Dixon family off!"

Fiona's body trembled, and she suddenly lowered her head as if remembering something.

Her hands clenched tightly at her sides. After a few seconds, she slowly raised her head and looked at the police. "I did it because I was jealous of Constance and Bella. So I stole Cassidy's necklace and secretly put it in Constance's bag to frame her."

Cassidy looked at her in disbelief, her eyes filled with disappointment. "I considered you my best friend, but you stole my necklace out of selfishness."

Bella finally relaxed. She thought, 'This woman is stupid but not beyond redemption. If she has continued to say I instructed her, I would have been the laughingstock tonight.'

Fiona lowered her head in shame. "I'm sorry. I was momentarily blinded by jealousy."
