Chapter 319

Bella bit her lip, looking all kinds of sad and hurt. "Felix, is this really what you think of me?"

Felix sneered, "Then why'd you tell me where Thomas was hiding and then ask me to spare him? Doesn't that sound a bit off to you?"

Bella's eyes started to well up as she stared at Felix. "Felix, I told you where Thomas was because I didn't want him to hurt you. I asked you to spare him because, while he was hiding here, I saw he genuinely cared this baby. He really loves this kid."

Felix shot back, cold as ice, "That's 'cause the kid in your belly is the only one he'll ever have. Of course, he cares."

His words hit Bella like a slap, making her shake.

"No, he really loves this child," Bella insisted.

Felix looked annoyed. "Believe what you want, but I don't buy it."

With that, Felix turned to leave.

Just as he reached the door, he heard Lauren shout, "Bella! Are you okay? Mr. Clinton, Bella's fainted! You gotta help her!"

Half an hour later, word spread through Dawnridge's high society that Bella had fainted at home and Felix had rushed her to the hospital. Everyone was laughing at Gianna.

After all, Gianna and Felix had always been tangled up, but Bella was always in the way.

[Man, I gotta hand it to Gianna. If it were me, I'd be losing it and going after Bella!]

[Seriously, Bella's pregnant with another guy's kid, and she still has Felix wrapped around her finger. That's some talent!]

[Gianna's been cheated on, but she's still hanging in there! Guess the Redstone family wants two women for one man!]

The socialites openly mocked Gianna in a group chat where both Gianna and Faith were present. Some even tagged Gianna, pretending to humbly ask her how she managed to endure it.

Faith couldn't take it anymore and sent a voice message in the group, cursing them out, "How dare any of you mock Gianna? Don't think I don't know about the stuff you do in private. I just can't be bothered to expose you. Say one more word, and you'll regret it!"

Elena Moore jumped in to argue with Faith, "Faith, you're just a shareholder in a small clothing company. You don't have the Walton family backing you anymore. If you piss us off, you'll regret it!"

Faith sneered and quickly sent a voice message, "Elena, remember last month when you and your boyfriend got into trouble at a hotel and had to go to the hospital late at night? You were hospitalized for days. Should I spill the tea on what you two were up to?"

After that, Elena went silent, but others in the group started egging Faith on, asking what she knew.

Seeing that no one mentioned Gianna anymore, Faith put down her phone and got back to work.

Gianna saw the messages about her in the group after finishing a meeting and opening Facebook.

She frowned and posted a photo of her divorce certificate on Facebook.

Gianna: [Mr. Clinton and I split up 'cause we just weren't a good match. I hope everyone can chill. Whoever Mr. Clinton is with now ain't my business. So, please, leave me out of it!]

The Facebook post sent shockwaves through Dawnridge's high society.

It was only half a year ago that everyone found out Felix and Gianna had been secretly hitched for three years, and now they were suddenly divorced. People couldn't keep up with the drama.

Felix saw Gianna's post pretty quickly.

He stared at it for what felt like forever on his way back to the Clinton Group.

Then, when he refreshed Facebook, the post was gone.

Gianna really wanted to cut ties, even going so far as to block him.

Felix slowly closed his eyes, letting the pain in his heart wash over him.

Anyway, he couldn't be with her anymore. Maybe ending it like this was for the best.

On the other side, after blocking Felix, Gianna couldn't focus on her work. Memories of her past with Felix kept flooding her mind.

She didn't want to think about it anymore and irritably got up and left her office.

Otis quickly stood up. "Ms. Redstone, need anything?"

Gianna shook her head. "Nope. You keep working. I'm just grabbing some coffee."

Otis asked, "Want me to get it for you?"

"No, I'll do it myself."

As Gianna poured her coffee, she thought about how Felix had rushed to Bella right after their divorce. All his promises to win her back seemed like lies. Men’s words, huh?

At that moment, she felt a bit relieved that she had never held out much hope. Otherwise, she'd be super disappointed now.

While she was lost in thought, her phone suddenly rang.

As soon as she answered, Samuel's angry voice came through, "Gianna, what's the deal with Felix and Bella? Didn't he just divorce you? Did he cheat on you with Bella?"

Hearing the anger in Samuel's voice, Gianna pressed her lips together and said calmly, "Samuel, chill. He didn't betray me. I don't know what's going on between them, but Felix and I are already divorced. Whoever he's with now has nothing to do with me, so don't stress about it."

Samuel was so mad he wanted to punch Felix. How could he not care?

They had looked into it and found that Gianna had done nothing wrong in the marriage, while Felix had wronged her!

"Gianna, if you have any grievances, you gotta speak up. Don't keep it to yourself. Otherwise, we'll be worried."

Samuel's concern touched Gianna deeply. She hadn't felt family care in a long time.

The Redstone family had never treated her as family, but she felt the warmth of family from the Drake family, who had no blood relation to her.

Indeed, not everyone with blood ties could be called family.

Gianna comforted him, "Samuel, I'm really fine. Don't worry. I'm not someone who can be easily bullied."
