Chapter 413

A glint of coldness flashed in Constance's eyes. It seemed Bella knew quite a bit about Thomas dealing with the Clinton Group.

She raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "Does Thomas know you're so arrogant outside?"

"What's it to you? Thomas said I just need to shop and buy things every day, unlike you who has to work to earn money. It must be really tough!" Bella retorted.

"So Thomas just sees you as eye candy, huh? Otherwise, why wouldn't he even tell you his plans?"

Bella was taken aback. "What plans?"

"You'll have to ask Thomas yourself, but I advise you not to trust him too much. After all, men are unreliable."

Bella's expression turned mocking as she coldly looked at her. "I don't need you to remind me. I have a child with him. Even if he doesn't like me, he'll marry me for the child's sake."

Constance thought Bella was really naive. Someone like Thomas, inherently selfish, would retaliate against anyone who threatened his interests without any bottom line, let alone a woman he had no feelings for.

When he deemed Bella useless, he certainly wouldn't spare her.

"Well, I wish you all the best."

Bella sneered, "Don't worry, I'll live better than you!"

Constance shrugged indifferently and was about to leave with Rebecca.

The store clerk, Bessie, who had initially mocked them, suddenly spoke up, "If you can't afford the clothes, don't step into our store."

Bella couldn't help but laugh, raising an eyebrow at Constance and Rebecca. "Did you hear that? If you're not buying anything, get out and don't interfere with me buying clothes for my boyfriend."

Bessie walked up to Bella with a fawning smile. " please come this way to pay."

Rebecca, who had never been treated like this, coldly said, "Pay for what? Didn't you see we were here first?"

Bessie gave her a disdainful look. "This suit costs over $200,000. Can you afford it? If not, leave immediately, or I'll call security!"

Then she turned to Bella with a smile. "Please come with me. Don't stay here; the atmosphere here is quite toxic."

Rebecca was furious. "Say that again!"

Bessie frowned. She just wanted these two to leave quickly, but they were being persistent.

However, she didn't want to be too harsh, in case it reached the manager, Deanna Phillips, which wouldn't be good for her.

Seeing her hesitation, Bella smiled. "Say whatever you want. I assure you, at worst, I'll buy everything in this store."

Hearing this, Bessie's eyes lit up. She hadn't expected such a big client. It seemed she was right to curry favor with this woman!

With no more hesitation, she looked at Constance and Rebecca. "I said your smell is polluting this place. Get out of our store! Or I'll call the police and say you're stealing!"

Rebecca was livid. "You're really good at being a lackey."

Bessie was furious. "How dare you insult me!"

She took out her phone and immediately called security. "There are two people causing trouble here. Please send someone to take them away!"

After hanging up, she looked at Constance and Rebecca smugly. "If you apologize to this lady now, I won't pursue your insult."

Seeing her condescending look, Rebecca smiled. "What if I don't apologize?"

Bessie's eyes turned cold. "If you don't apologize, you'll be spending the night at the police station."

Bella smiled with satisfaction. Then she sneered, "Constance, just apologize to me, and we'll forget about today. Otherwise, I won't let Thomas spare you."

"Bella, if you're not thinking straight, get it treated early. Otherwise, it might get worse over time."

"How dare you call me stupid!"

She raised her hand to hit Constance, but Constance grabbed her wrist.

A loud slap echoed, and Bella staggered back a few steps before steadying herself.

The burning pain on her face reminded her of what had just happened. Constance had slapped her in public!

"Constance! You're asking for it!" Bella shouted.

She signaled to Bessie, who rushed forward, but was met with a flurry of slaps that left her cheeks red and swollen.

Bessie was stunned. By the time she realized what was happening, she had already received over a dozen slaps from Constance.

Bessie gritted her teeth. "I'll kill you! I won't let you get away with this!"

She got up and charged at Constance, but before she could reach her, a cold voice rang out. "What's going on? I leave you to watch the store, and it's chaos! Do you not want to work here anymore?"

Bessie's body stiffened, and she turned to see Deanna walking in with a cold expression.

Seeing Bessie's swollen face, Deanna was taken aback and frowned. "What happened to your face?"

Bessie rushed to Deanna, looking aggrieved. "Ms. Phillips, thank goodness you're back. Someone is causing trouble in our store!"

But with her swollen face, she looked anything but pitiful, rather quite off-putting.

Deanna frowned. "Where are the troublemakers?"

Bessie pointed at Constance and Rebecca, gritting her teeth. "It's them. Not only can they not afford the clothes, but they also slapped our esteemed customer! I tried to protect the customer but got beaten up. Ms. Phillips, you have to help me!"

Following her direction, Deanna saw Constance and Rebecca and was stunned. She quickly walked over.

"Ms. Drake, Miss Wood, you're here to look at clothes? Why didn't you let me know? I would have personally served you," Deanna quickly said.

Seeing that Deanna knew Constance and Rebecca and seemed quite familiar with them, Bessie's heart sank.

If she couldn't tell these two were important, her years here had been in vain.

With a smirk, Rebecca said, "Deanna, your store has really grown over the past few years, and so have your employees' egos. They act like they're above everyone else. I wouldn't dare ask for help; I don't want to be mistaken for a thief and get reported!"

Deanna's face stiffened, and she quickly said, "Ms. Wood, it's all a misunderstanding. Our employee is new and didn't recognize you and Ms. Drake. I apologize on her behalf."

Rebecca's gaze turned cold. "We can't afford your apology. After all, your new employee threatened to call the police if we didn't leave. I'm really scared. I guess our cooperation with your brand can't continue."
