Chapter 93
Mitchell was stunned for a few seconds before he spoke, "How is that possible? We are just joking about when you and Felix would have a baby at the Private Room, and he says it is up to you."
It was clear that Felix hadn't told them about the divorce yet. Gianna furrowed her brows, unable to understand why Felix would keep this from them.
But it had nothing to do with her. She looked at Mitchell and calmly said, "We did get divorced, and I have the divorce certificate."
Mitchell is good at lighting the atmosphere, but now he doesn't know how to react with an awkwardly forced smile.
"Alright. I'll head in first." After speaking, Mitchell went straight back to the Private Room.
As soon as he entered, he looked at Felix and said, "Felix, you've divorced Gianna, and you didn't tell us. Are we not good friends?"
The moment the words came out, Felix and Raymond both turned to look at him.
Felix's eyes were cold. He asked, "Where did you hear that?"
Mitchell took his seat and said, "Where else could I have heard it? I saw the girl I'd been pursuing when I went to the restroom just now. I went over to say hello, finding she was having dinner with Gianna. I greeted her, and she said you two had divorced."
As soon as he finished speaking, Felix got up and left the Private Room.
Mitchell sighed and said to Raymond, "Since Bella came back, I've had a feeling that their marriage might not last long, but I didn't expect them to divorce so fast."
Raymond's expression was cold, and his hand tightened involuntarily.
He thought to himself, 'It is no wonder that Felix was so open about it because he had divorced her.'
Raymond was displeased with Felix's actions, but he couldn't help feeling a hint of joy. If Felix didn't love her, perhaps he still had a chance.
After Felix left the Private Room, he quickly saw Gianna and Laura. He walked briskly towards them, his eyes without any warmth.
Gianna was picking up food when she suddenly felt a chill down her back. When she turned around, she saw Felix walking towards her with an unpleasant expression.
She furrowed her brows and just put down her chopsticks while Felix walked up to her.
"Gianna, I need to talk to you," Felix said.
Gianna compressed her lips with a little helplessness, "Can you wait until we finish eating?"
Before she could finish her words, Felix grabbed her wrist.
Felix urged, "No, it must be now!"
Laura, who was sitting across from them, couldn't bear it and said angrily, "Let go of Gianna! If not, I'll call the police!"
Felix's expression was cold. He just dragged Gianna away without looking at Laura.
Laura was about to catch up, but Gianna turned back to shake her head. She didn't want to get others involved in her private thing with Felix.
Felix pulled Gianna into an empty Private Room and said coldly, "Gianna, why did you talk about our divorce?"
Gianna looked up at him calmly, meeting his angry gaze. "Is there any reason to hide it?"
"Grandma Clinton has been under a lot of stress recently, and I don't want her to worry about us," Felix explained.
Gianna frowned her brows, "Did you forget that Grandma Clinton agreed us to divorce before?"
Felix stared into her eyes. "Do you think she would really want us to divorce? She appreciates you so much. If you marry someone else in the future, will you still visit her as before?"
Gianna replied, "So, in your opinion, Shall I lie to Grandma Clinton with you?"
"I will find a suitable opportunity to tell her about this. Before that, I hope you can keep it a secret." Felix said.
Gianna looked at him, feeling that something was wrong.
"How long will it take?" Gianna asked.
"It won't be more than three months," Felix replied.
After a few seconds of silence, Gianna reluctantly agreed.
"Okay, I hope you can keep your word." After saying that, Gianna turned around to leave, but Felix grabbed her hand again.
Felix added, "During this time, I hope you can cooperate with me in acting. You should accompany me to visit her."
"Felix, you're going too far. My bottom line is to keep this a secret!" Gianna shouted.
Felix looked down at her and said slowly, "Her health has been deteriorating since the last time. I don't want her to worry about us anymore."
"Okay, I understand. Is there anything else?" Gianna said.
Felix let go of her hand and nodded. "That's all."
"Can I go now?"
Seeing Felix's silence, Gianna turned around and left the Private Room directly.
Felix stood in the Private Room for a while before returning to Private Room 1.
Gianna had no appetite and just ate a little before settling the bill and leaving with Laura. On the way back, Laura kept complaining about Felix, full of dissatisfaction.
"I used to overlook his shortcomings and negative behaviors. But today, he is too domineering. I don't like this type of man at all. It's exhausting to be around him!"
Gianna didn't want to hear any more about Felix and asked, "By the way, how did you meet Mitchell?"
Laura looked speechless and said, "Do you remember the CEO who pursued me? It's him. I'm so annoyed by his persistence, and on top of that, he invested in 'Many Years.' Every time he approaches me, it's always just for a meal, and I can't refuse!"
Laura was not interested in this type of man, who had a pair of almond eyes and was obviously a fickle man, just like Mitchell.
Gianna has also heard rumors about Mitchell and reminded Laura, "He has had many girlfriends, but none of them lasted more than three months."
Laura sneered, and said coldly, "Don't worry. His sweet talk won't fool me. I hate fickle men the most!"
Her mother has suffered a lot because of her father, who is a fickle man, but she still enjoys it.
In Laura's eyes, her mother's mind has even been blinded by love. Every time her father explains, she forgives him. Growing up in such a family, Laura has no illusions about love.
"Okay, as long as you're aware of it," Gianna said.
Laura nodded and smiled, "I should have saved enough money for the rest of my life. By then, I'll retire directly from the entertainment industry to find a quiet place to live."
They chatted and returned to the villa. Gianna went to the study to handle work, while Laura spent time in the living room watching a drama.
Gianna didn't finish her work until after ten o'clock. She got up to go to the living room to get some water when she suddenly received a call from Julian.
"Gianna, where are you now?" Julian asked.
Gianna's voice was distant, "Do you need something?"
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone. As Gianna's patience ran out, Julian finally spoke, "Can you come back? I have something to tell you."
