Chapter 251
Gianna laughed and raised an eyebrow at Ivy. "Ivy, you think I'm stupid?"
Ivy bit her lip, looking unsure. "Don't forget, without me, Felix would be branded a sexual harasser forever!"
"Forever? You think too highly of yourself. Everyone knows about your affair with the Astor senior. Even if you don't explain it at the press conference, I have other ways to deal with it."
Ivy's face fell. She hated to admit it, but Gianna was right.
"Are you trying to push me to my death? If I expose Thomas at the press conference, neither he nor the Foster family will spare me. If you don't send me abroad, I'm as good as dead!" Ivy huffed.
Gianna's expression stayed cold. She had no sympathy for Ivy. "You walked into this mess yourself. I've done my best by getting you out of the Foster family. As for sending you abroad, ask the Astor senior for help. You know what to do."
With that, Gianna stood up and left.
Ivy didn't stop her. She had no leverage left.
On her way back to the villa, Gianna got a call from Felix.
"William's been brought back," Felix said.
Gianna pressed her lips, "When do you plan to see him?"
"Now," Felix replied.
"I'll go with you. I'm heading back to the villa and should be there in about twenty minutes." Gianna said.
Felix paused for a while and said, "Alright, no rush. Drive safely."
When Gianna got back to Elm Bay, Felix was already waiting at the door, eager to see William.
After Felix got in the car, Gianna asked, "Where's William now?"
"Tranquil Minds Psychiatric Hospital."
Gianna set the GPS, and in less than an hour, they arrived at the hospital.
A staff member met them and led them to a separate building.
"Mr. Clinton, Miss Redstone, William is in room 201. But after a long flight, his mental state is very unstable. It's best to wait until he calmed down before talking to him."
Gianna nodded, "Alright, thank you."
After the staff left, Gianna and Felix went up to the second floor. Room 201 was right by the stairs, and they quickly saw William through the window.
He looked just like in the video, unfocused eyes, drool dripping, with disheveled hair and clothes.
Felix thought, 'Could they really get any answers from him in this state?'
After watching William for a bit, Gianna asked softly, "Do you plan to ask him anything today?"
Felix was silent for a few seconds and then said coldly, "Yes."
He called for a nurse to bring the doctor over, "I have a few questions to ask him."
"Mr. Clinton, the patient's condition is very unstable. He had an episode just a moment ago. It's not suitable to question him now."
Felix remained silent and just stared coldly at the doctor.
The doctor finally agreed, "I can allow it, but I must be there during the questioning."
"Open the door." Felix said.
Once the door opened, Felix and Gianna walked in, followed by the doctor and two nurses.
Seeing so many people, William got nervous. He backed away, making sounds, clearly resisting.
Felix asked coldly, "William, did you cause the car accident of Jesse and Maria?"
The names Jesse and Maria seemed to trigger William. He screamed, flailing his arms in fear, "Ah! Ah! Go! Go! Scared..."
Felix pressed on, showing no sympathy, "After their accident, why did you leave the country so quickly? Feeling guilty?"
"No... ah... scared..." William said.
William started banging his head against the wall, making loud thuds as if he felt no pain.
The doctor quickly restrained him, "Get the sedative, quick!"
Within a minute, the nurse administered the sedative. William's movements slowed, and he soon fell asleep.
The doctor turned to Felix, sternly saying, "Mr. Clinton, we can't agitate William anymore today. It could worsen his condition."
Felix's expression was cold, "Understood. Keep a close watch on him. I'll come back tomorrow."
"Mr. Clinton, it may take about a week for William to stabilize. I suggest you wait for our notification."
Felix frowned, "Can it be faster? I don't have the patience to wait that long."
The doctor looked troubled, "That's the fastest timeline. Honestly, I can't guarantee he'll be stable in a week."
Gianna stepped forward, speaking softly, "The doctor is right. Psychiatric patients' emotions can fluctuate. It's hard to predict when he'll stabilize."
Felix pressed his lips and said, "Notify me immediately if anything is the matter."
"Of course, Mr. Clinton."
They left the psychiatric hospital, and Felix stayed silent on the way back.
William had been found, and his reaction to Jesse and Maria's names made Felix sure that he knew something. But getting answers from him now seemed nearly impossible.
Gianna glanced at Felix and said calmly, "Don't put too much hope on William. In his current state, it's hard to say if he'll ever recover."
"Yes, I know." Felix replied.
After a moment, Gianna continued, "Besides asking William, your father might know about any conflicts Jesse and Maria had. Maybe you should ask him."
Felix's expression turned cold, irritation flashing in his eyes, "My father refuses to talk about them. I've tried several times."
"You could let him know that William is back," Gianna said.
Felix turned to Gianna, deeply asked, "Are you suspecting my father?"
Gianna remained calm, "I don't trust anyone. We don't know what grudges they might have had."
Felix clenched his hand tightly, his gaze icy, "You're right. Maybe I should have a good talk with my father!"
