Chapter 183: Justifiable Defense

A big crowd had gathered outside MY FASHION Enterprises, demanding justice. They were rallied by the family of a severely allergic patient, and they looked pretty shady.

"Bring out the boss! Or else!"

"Yeah, you should've seen this coming when you made those harmful clothes. If you keep hiding, we'll force our way in!"

"Come out! Bring out your boss!"

The mob pushed their way into MY FASHION, and the security guards couldn't stop them.

When Otis heard about it, he rushed to tell Gianna.

"Gianna, let's get you to the underground parking lot. You need to leave!" he said hurriedly.

Gianna stayed calm, "No need for that. Just call the police."

Otis was shocked at how calm she was, "Gianna, if they break in, it could get ugly. Let me take you away first!"

"Otis, just do as I say. I'll be fine."

Seeing she wouldn't budge, Otis called the police.

After he left, Gianna put down her documents, her gaze cold. This wasn't just an ordinary family. It seemed like a planned attack on MY FASHION.

She quickly called Faith, "Find out who the allergic patient's family has been talking to, and fast!"

After hanging up, she went back to her documents, unfazed by the chaos.

Half an hour later, with no one from MY FASHION addressing the issue, the leader of the troublemakers signaled to the others, and they forced their way in.

"Today, we're dragging out the boss of MY FASHION for justice!"

"Bring down the evil capitalists! Bring down the bloodsuckers!"

They stormed in, smashed the front desk, and took the elevator to the top floor.

They reached the CEO's office. Otis rushed in, looking pale, "Gianna, they've broken in!"

Gianna looked up at the crowd at the door. Everyone bore fierce expressions.

The leader saw Gianna sitting calmly and was surprised, 'Shouldn't she be scared? How could she be so calm?' he thought.

He sneered, "Gianna, you put my brother in a coma, and you won't admit your clothes caused his allergic reaction. How do you plan to settle this?!"

Gianna glanced at Otis, who was trembling, and said, "Otis, stand behind me."

The leader mocked, "You're at death's door and still thinking about others. You really don't get it! Get her!"

A dozen people rushed at Gianna.

Otis tried to stop them but was pulled back by Gianna.

In the next second, Gianna performed an over-the-shoulder throw, slamming the first attacker to the ground.

Everyone was stunned.

The leader reacted first, his gaze cold, "Petty tricks! All of you, get her!"

Five minutes later, the troublemakers were on the ground, groaning in pain. The leader was wailing the loudest.

Otis, standing behind Gianna, was stunned. He knew she was trained, but not this formidable. He hadn't even seen her move and the whole mob was already down.

Gianna walked up to the leader, her expression icy, "Who sent you?"

The leader, with a black eye and swollen mouth, quickly shook his head, "No... no one. We just wanted justice for my brother..."

Gianna's lips curled into a cold smile as she slowly raised her hand.

Seeing this, the man quickly covered his face, trembling, "Don't... don't hit me. I'll talk... I'll talk..."

He confessed he had received a mysterious transfer, instructing him to cause trouble. After his confession, he looked at Gianna cautiously, eyes full of fear.

"Gianna, I've told you everything. Please... don't hit me again..."

His fearful demeanor was a stark contrast to his earlier arrogance. If Otis hadn't seen his aggressive behavior earlier, he might have felt sorry for the guy.

Gianna lowered her hand, eyes still cold. "If I find out you lied, I won't let you off!"

The man looked miserable, almost in tears, "I'm telling the truth. I swear."

Gianna stood up and noticed two people at the office door. She was momentarily stunned when she recognized them.

"What are you doing here?"

Since breaking up with Felix over half a month ago, they hadn't been in contact. Seeing him suddenly appear made her feel a bit disoriented.

Felix didn't answer. He quickly walked over, grabbed her wrist, and checked to make sure she wasn't hurt. Only then did he relax.

He said, "I saw on the news that people were causing trouble at MY FASHION. I happened to be nearby, so I came to check."

Sophia, following Felix, almost couldn't hold back her laughter. Clearly, he had rushed over from the Clinton Group out of concern, yet he wouldn't admit it.

Gianna nodded, her expression calm, "I'm fine. You should go back to work. The police will be here soon."

Felix's gaze darkened a bit. "No rush. I'll leave after the police arrive."

Gianna wanted to say it wasn't necessary but didn't want to argue in front of everyone, so she just pressed her lips together and said nothing.

Soon, the police arrived.

Seeing the scene, they were puzzled, "What's going on here?"

Gianna stepped forward, "Officer, these people came to cause trouble. Just take them away."

"Who beat them up?"

"I did, but it was in self-defense."

After a few seconds of awkward silence, the police took the troublemakers and Gianna to the station to take statements.

Felix went along. With Felix by her side, Gianna's statement was taken quickly and smoothly. In less than an hour, they were out of the police station.

As they left, Gianna thanked Felix and was about to hail a cab when Felix suddenly grabbed her wrist.

"Why didn't you tell me about such a big incident?" he asked.

Gianna tried to pull away but failed. She frowned and looked at Felix, "Felix, I thought we had already broken up."
