Chapter 258

"You!" Connor gritted his teeth and glared at her. "Enough! We need to explain to Thomas that the car accident involving our brother and sister-in-law wasn't our fault. We'll handle everything else later!"

Ximena sneered, "You think Thomas will listen? He almost killed me. I'm not letting him off!"

"Do you have to turn this house into a complete mess before you're satisfied?" Connor growled.

Ximena's eyes were cold as she met Connor's angry gaze. "Connor, you should be asking Thomas that. If it weren't for him, our lives wouldn't be in chaos!"

Connor, furious, raised his hand to slap Ximena, but she stared back with a sneer. "Go ahead, hit me. If you do, I'll tell the reporters everything you did to Maria. Let's see if you still have any dignity left!"

Connor's hand froze in mid-air and eventually dropped.

"If I hear any rumors, I won't let you off!"

He stormed out, opening the hospital room door to find Bella standing there. His face instantly turned cold.

"What did you hear?" Connor asked.

Bella, feeling a chill down her spine, quickly stepped back and shook her head, "Connor, I just got here. I didn't hear anything."

Seeing no signs of lying, Connor didn't press further and left.

Bella, still shaken, patted her chest and took a deep breath before walking into the room.

Seeing Bella, Ximena's eyes flashed with surprise, and she spoke coldly, "Bella, why are you here?"

Ever since Bella got pregnant with Thomas's child, Ximena's attitude towards her had cooled. Thomas and Felix were on opposing sides, and having Thomas's child meant Bella would inevitably lean towards Thomas.

Bella smiled and sat by the bed, "Ximena, I heard you woke up, so I came to see you. How are you recovering?"

"I'm fine. Bella, since you're engaged to Thomas and pregnant, you don't need to visit me anymore. Just focus on taking care of yourself at home."

Bella could tell Ximena wanted to distance herself, but she wanted to escape Thomas's control and be with Felix, she needed Ximena on her side.

"Ximena, I came here to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"I don't plan to keep this child."

Ximena's eyes flashed with surprise, and she frowned, "Why?"

Bella sighed, her eyes reddening, "Ximena, you don't know. Thomas doesn't like me at all. Ever since he became the president of the Clinton Group, he's kept me imprisoned in the villa. I've been trying to send messages to Felix. In my heart, I still want Felix to be president of the Clinton Group."

Bella's words were sincere, but Ximena didn't believe her and looked at her warily, "Bella, did Thomas send you to ask me questions?"

Bella didn't rush to defend herself, "Ximena, I know you don't believe me now, but soon you'll see I'm not lying."

She stood up and looked at Ximena, "Thomas has people watching me. I can't stay long. I'll visit you again when I get the chance."

After leaving the room, Bella wiped her tears and was about to leave when she saw a familiar figure hurrying towards the opposite ward.

Her eyes narrowed, 'Why is Faith here?'

Curious, Bella followed her.

Faith had rushed to the hospital as soon as she heard about Jonah's injury on set, unaware Bella was following her.

When she saw Jonah's pale face and bandaged arm with blood seeping through, she frowned.

Jonah and his manager Kyle were surprised to see her.

"Faith, why are you here?"

"I have a relative on your crew. When I heard you were hurt, I got the room number to check on you."

Jonah smiled, "It's just a minor injury. I'll be back to filming in a day or two."

Kyle glared at him, "The doctor said you need at least a month of rest. If it weren't for your old injuries, this wouldn't have happened..."

Jonah cut him off, "Kyle, stop. It's my own fault."

Kyle looked displeased but stayed quiet.

Faith knew what Kyle couldn't say and changed the subject, chatting about other things instead.

As she was about to leave, Kyle stood up, "Faith, I'll walk you out."

Bella quickly hid in the stairwell as Faith and Kyle walked out.

"Faith, could you tell Gianna about Jonah's injury?"

Faith was silent for a moment, then looked at Kyle. "You want Gianna to visit Jonah?"

Kyle nodded and lowered his voice, "You know if it weren't for saving Gianna, Jonah's condition wouldn't be this bad. The arm injury is minor. The doctor said his back has severe burns that can't be repaired. Those scars will stay with him for life."

"He doesn't want Gianna to know, and I can't do anything about it," Faith said helplessly.

Kyle sighed, "I don't plan to tell Gianna either. I can't afford to offend Felix and the Getty family. Jonah won't say it, but I know he wants to see Gianna. I hope she can visit him, even just as a friend."

"Alright, I'll tell Gianna." Faith agreed.

"Thank you." Kyle said.

After Faith left, Kyle returned to the room.

Hiding in the stairwell, Bella was shocked. She knew about the fire that almost killed Gianna and that the media reported a firefighter saved her. She didn't expect it was Jonah who saved Gianna.

From Faith and Kyle's conversation, it seemed Felix and Jonah's families were involved.

She quickly called her private investigator, "Hey, I need you to look into something!"

Knowing the result made the investigation easier. As soon as Bella returned to the villa, she received a message from the investigator.

Seeing that Jonah's injury coincided with the day Gianna was almost burned, and with the treatment records from Thundertop Liberty General Hospital, Bella understood.

Felix must have hidden the fact that Jonah saved Gianna to protect their relationship.

As Bella saw Jonah's distressing medical records and burn photos, her lips curled into a cold smile.

She now had evidence that could break Felix and Gianna apart!

Meanwhile, after leaving the hospital, Faith went to Elm Bay.

As she reached the villa entrance, she saw Gianna walking out with a cold expression.

Faith quickly approached, "Gianna, I have something to tell you. Jonah is inju—"

Before she could finish, Gianna interrupted coldly,

"Felix is missing!"
