Chapter 98

Gianna's unexpected firmness took Otis aback. After a moment, he quickly responded, "Alright, I'll go right away."
"Wait," Gianna interjected.
Otis turned back, puzzled, thinking she had changed her mind.
Instead, she suggested, "If calling the police is ineffective, bring in a group of bodyguards to drive them away."
"Okay," Otis agreed.
When Felix arrived at the MY FASHION building, he witnessed the scene of the security guards, summoned by Otis, dispersing the entertainment journalists.
He furrowed his brows and asked, "What's going on?"
"CEO, MY FASHION's designer was accused of plagiarizing Orb Design Studio's clothing designs, which caused a sensation. These journalists came to confront Anna," explained Otis.
Felix asked, "Anna? Is she the founder of MY FASHION?"
"Yes, but few people actually know what Anna looks like, so they probably won't be able to find her," Otis added.
Felix fell silent, his gaze turning notably colder. He suddenly remembered the timing of Gianna's interview at MY FASHION, while Anna's return.
Was it a coincidence, or...?
As Felix pondered, Sophia Mars suddenly exclaimed, "Felix, Miss Redstone is here!"
Felix turned to see Gianna walking out of MY FASHION.
However, she seemed oblivious to the black Maybach parked nearby, heading straight for a taxi.
Felix's face darkened, and he coldly ordered, "Bring her over here!"
Just as Gianna hailed a taxi, Sophia Mars's voice sounded in her ear. "Miss Redstone, the CEO is waiting for you."
Gianna turned to Sophia Mars, a hint of helplessness in her expression. "Mars, I've already divorced Mr. Clinton. There's no need to continue this entanglement. Please let him know that I won't eat dinner with him tonight."
She wasn't someone who needed to be at his beck and call, even after a divorce.
Unnoticed by Gianna, Sophia Mars's expression turned somewhat unnatural when she mentioned the word "divorce."
"Miss Redstone, if I hadn't invited you, I might have lost my job," Sophia Mars said.
Gianna glanced at him and smiled. "Mars, even if he changes his wife, he won't change his secretary."
With that, Gianna smoothly got into the taxi and closed the door. "North Town Elm Bay, please."
Sophia Mars watched as the taxi drove away, feeling somewhat at a loss. Back in the car, the atmosphere had already dropped to freezing point.
"CEO, I'm sorry I didn't bring Miss Redstone," Sophia Mars said.
Felix's expression was cold, devoid of any warmth. "Return to the company."
Sophia Mars didn't dare to ask if they should still go to the Redstone family dinner. She followed the instructions and turned the car back towards the Clinton Group.
On the other side, the Redstone family arrived early, with Bella specially dressed in a new dress she had bought the previous day.
The thin gauze on the chest was embroidered with a few purple lavender flowers, and the waist was designed to be cinched, highlighting Bella's slender waist. The wide skirt was adorned with lace, and it only reached her knees, revealing her slender and fair legs.
With a slight downward gaze, she looked like a lotus about to bloom, evoking a sense of longing.
Lauren looked at Bella with satisfaction, her eyes filled with pride. Bella was the daughter she had carefully raised, exuding the aura of a refined young lady in every move.
Gianna had only been with the Redstone family for a few years, so she had managed to shake off that negative feeling.
If she could wholeheartedly help the Redstone Group, Lauren might still show her some favor at times. But now, she just wanted Gianna to stay out of her sight!
Beside them, Julian checked the time. Felix still hadn't arrived until more than half an hour past the agreed time.
He looked at Bella and said, "Bella, call Felix and ask where he is."
Bella nodded and made several calls, but Felix didn't pick up, and her expression became increasingly grim.
"Dad, Felix didn't answer," Bella said.
Julian frowned. "I'll contact his secretary."
He dialed Sophia Mars's number, and she answered quickly, but soon, his face turned extremely grim.
Lauren and Bella could both feel his anger, and they exchanged a puzzled look.
After hanging up the phone, Julian slammed his phone on the table, his eyes filled with anger.
Julian said angrily, "Clinton Group has canceled the cooperation with Redstone Group!"
Lauren asked, "What happened? Why did they suddenly cancel the collaboration?"
Julian gritted his teeth and said, "Sophia Mars said she wanted to resolve this issue and asked Gianna to talk with Felix in person. It must be something she did that angered Felix! Otherwise, the collaboration wouldn't have been canceled so suddenly!"
Lauren's face turned pale with anger. "This harbinger of misfortune! Since she came back, nothing good has happened to the Redstone family!"
Julian's expression was cold, and he called Gianna. As soon as the call connected, he roared, "Gianna, what have you done? Why did Felix suddenly cancel the cooperation with the Redstone Group?"
Gianna frowned, a cold light flashing in her eyes, and she hung up the phone directly.
When he called again, Gianna didn't pick up, which made Julian even more furious.
He called his secretary and said coldly, "Find out where Gianna is now!"
Gianna returned to the villa and had just finished dinner with Laura when the doorbell rang.
Seeing Julian and Lauren outside, both looking angry, a sense of annoyance rose in Gianna's heart.
As soon as she opened the door, Julian slapped her.
Gianna took a step back to avoid it, looking at him with a cold expression. "If you're here to cause trouble, you can leave now, or I'll call the police."
The mention of calling the police fueled Julian's anger, and he pointed at Gianna, cursing, "Gianna, are you only satisfied if you destroy the Redstone family? I called you earlier to ask you to put in a good word for me with Felix, but you refused. Then your sister called him and got him to agree to cooperate with the Redstone Group, but you turned around and ruined it. What exactly do you want?"
Before Gianna could speak, Lauren sneered, "What else could it be? She wants a share of the Redstone Group, but using such a despicable method will only make us despise you even more!"
Gianna looked at the two people at the door, her eyes devoid of any warmth.
She said, "Since Bella is so capable, why don't you let her go and persuade Felix to continue the cooperation?"
Lauren shouted, "Why should Belle clean up your mess? You go and apologize to Felix immediately!"
Seeing Lauren's self-righteous look, Gianna couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Lauren asked.
"I'm laughing at how ridiculous you are. I didn't do anything wrong, so why should I apologize to Felix?" Gianna replied.
Lauren was so angry that she raised her hand to hit her, but her hand was caught by a fair-skinned hand.
Laura pushed Lauren away and said coldly, "I thought it was a mad dog barking at the door; it turns out it's two well-behaved mad dogs!"
The push almost knocked Lauren down, and after barely regaining her balance, she said furiously, "Gianna, look at your friend! Not only do they curse, but they also lay hands with their elders!"
Gianna's face instantly turned cold, and she said in a measured tone, "You have no right to judge my friends!"
