Chapter 155

Gianna raised an eyebrow. "Who?"

"Emily Johnson!"

Gianna fell silent for a few seconds. "I don't know her."

Faith said, "Do you remember when Bella used Elia's fake signature to deceive someone and then got exposed?"

"I remember. What's the matter?" said Gianna.

"She's the one who publicly exposed Bella, and she also got third place in the national design competition," said Faith.

Gianna nodded.

Faith, incredulous, said, "Not thrilled? Having her join our company can promote our new products, and her designs are good, which will bring more support to us!"

Gianna signed the document and handed it to Faith, smiling. "Got it. Go back to work."

"You're not even a bit excited."

"What's there to be excited about? In the future, MY FASHION will attract more talented designers," said Gianna.

Faith couldn't help but smirk at Gianna's response. "True. I remember our dream was to make MY FASHION the biggest clothing brand in Dawnridge!"

"To achieve that dream, we'll have to put in a lot of efforts."

Faith nodded. "Alright, I won't chat with you anymore. I'll go back to work."

"Okay."

After Faith left, Gianna was about to continue working when her phone suddenly rang.

Seeing it was Bella, Gianna furrowed her brow and hung up directly.

Unexpectedly, Bella was quite patient and called four or five times in a row, even sending a text provocatively asking if Gianna dared to answer the phone.

Gianna raised an eyebrow, and when Bella called again, she answered directly, "What's up?"

Bella chuckled, "Gianna, do you know that I was drugged last night, and Felix rushed over immediately, personally taking care of me all night?"

A coldness flashed in Gianna's eyes, and she spoke icily, "I've recorded our conversation. I'll send it to Felix later to ask if he really took care of you all night!"

"You!"

Bella, frustrated, sneered, "Do you know the outcome of the business partner who drugged me? I heard his company went bankrupt this morning, and he disappeared from Dawnridge directly. Even if Felix likes you now, so what? In his heart, I will always have a place!"

Thinking this would anger Gianna, Bella was surprised when Gianna said, "Are you done?"

"Gianna, even if you pretend to be calm, it's useless. I will always be between you and Felix. You can't..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Gianna hung up the phone.

When Bella tried calling again, it showed the call was blocked, clearly indicating that she had been blocked.

Bella was so angry that she almost threw her phone, but then she thought that if Gianna really didn't care, she wouldn't have blocked her.

Just as Bella was feeling smug, the office door was knocked.

Secretary Ella Jane walked in. "Ms. Redstone, here are our financial reports from the last quarter."

"Just leave it there for now. I'll check it out later."

Ella nodded. "By the way, the sales of our clothes last quarter were only half of MY FASHION's. The clothing designs for the next quarter have been revised several times, and I heard you're not very satisfied. If we don't finalize the designs soon, we won't meet the deadline for production next quarter."

Bella furrowed her brow and said coldly, "Those designs were trash. I can't let a bunch of garbage be produced, can I?"

Ella pursed her lips. 'While the designs weren't top-notch, they weren't garbage either, and it wasn't necessary to insult the designers' work,' she thought.

"What do you suggest then, Ms. Redstone?" asked Ella.

"Have them redesign a version within a week."

Ella couldn't help but say, "Ms. Redstone, designing a new set of designs usually takes at least a month. A week is too short. Can we have a bit more time?"

Bella looked at Ella coldly, her tone impatient.

"Who is the boss here? How about you taking this position?"

Ella quickly shook her head. "I'll inform the design department right away."

Soon, the LR Design Studio design department was filled with complaints.

"What's wrong with Bella? She's even more unreasonable than Vernon. She's a designer herself. Can she design dozens of sketches in a week?"

"She doesn't treat us like humans! I used to like her when I saw she won first place in the design competition, but now I'm starting to dislike her more and more!"

"Forget it. Let's hurry up and draw the designs. If we don't submit the designs in a week, who knows what awaits us?"

Unaware of the dissatisfaction of the others toward her, Bella was contemplating how to deal with MY FASHION.

In the president's office of MY FASHION, after hanging up the phone, Gianna tried getting back to work but couldn't focus.

Last night, Felix once again deceived her by saying he was going to work, but in reality, he went to help Bella deal with a business partner.

After much hesitation, Gianna decided to give Felix a chance.

Gianna picked up her phone and dialed Felix's number, and he answered quickly.

"Why are you calling me all of a sudden? Miss me?" asked Felix.

Gianna's grip on the phone tightened involuntarily as she slowly said, "Felix, did you really go to work last night?"

Silence followed before Felix cautiously asked, "Why are you suddenly asking this?"

"You just need to answer my question," said Gianna.

After a moment of silence, Felix's low voice came through. "Gianna, I'm sorry."

Gianna didn't say anything more and hung up the phone directly.

Half an hour later, Felix sent a message.

[I'm downstairs at MY FASHION. Let's meet. I want to explain to you in person.]

Seeing this message, Gianna pursed her lips and got up to go downstairs.

Felix's car was parked on the side of the road. Gianna walked to the car, opened the door, and sat down, her expression indifferent. "Explain."

Seeing Gianna's indifferent expression, Felix felt a pang in his heart, and his hand on his knee involuntarily tightened.

"I wasn't planning to go last night, but after Sophia's call couldn't get through, I decided to go. However, nothing happened between us. I just called a doctor for her and left."

Gianna raised an eyebrow, her eyes cold.

"Are you sure you just called a doctor?"

Felix nodded. "Really, later I found out you weren't at the villa, and I knew you went to Lose Demon, so I rushed over."

"How come I heard that you also registered a room for her?"

Felix furrowed his brow. "That's because Sophia's phone was broken, so she couldn't book a room."

From Felix's account, Gianna understood that nothing had happened between him and Bella, but she still couldn't easily forgive Felix for deceiving her.

"When we got back together, I told you to keep your distance from Bella, and you agreed. But just two days later, you deceived me for Bella."

The disappointment in Gianna's eyes made Felix feel flustered.

After a few seconds of silence, Felix explained, "I really didn't mean to be with her. I helped her this time because I owed her before, and there won't be such a thing in the future."

Gianna shook her head. "Promises are easy, but keeping them is hard. If you can't really cut ties with her, you shouldn't have agreed with me in the first place."

After saying that, Gianna pushed open the car door and left.

Felix stared at her retreating figure, not following, but the heavy atmosphere around him indicated that he was in a bad mood.

In the following days, Gianna used the excuse of being busy with work to go straight home to Elm Bay after work, and she didn't meet Felix again.

Soon, the day of Natalie's party for Thomas came.
