Chapter 139

Gianna looked at Felix coldly and said expressionlessly, "Have the nanny come and give me the medicine or not. It's your choice."

"I'll do it myself," Felix replied.

"Felix Clinton! Don't be so shameless!"

Felix chuckled. "Since you've called me shameless, I guess I have to live up to it."

"Then I won't take it! Get out!"

Felix held the ointment, looking calmly at Gianna. "I'll give you the medicine, or we can keep this stalemate until you agree to take it."

"You!"

Gianna was furious but couldn't do anything to Felix, feeling her anger build with no way to release it.

After a few minutes of silence, Gianna reluctantly lay down on the bed and muttered, "Hurry up and do it, then leave!"

Felix chuckled and whispered, "If someone who doesn't know our situation hears that, they might misunderstand what we're up to."

Realizing the implication of Felix's words, Gianna blushed. She was thankful that her face was buried in the pillow, hiding her embarrassment.

Gianna gritted her teeth and said irritably, "Don't make it sound worse than it is!"

Felix chuckled, then without another word, he took some ointment from the box and said to Gianna, "Lift your clothes a bit."

Gianna's slender fingers held the hem and slowly lifted her nightgown, feeling extreme shame, her toes curling involuntarily.

As Felix saw Gianna's exposed back slowly revealed, his eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of desire igniting within.

However, as the fabric slid up, he saw the bruise on her waist, and the beautiful moment was shattered.

Gianna must have been in significant pain when that happened.

Felix's hand tightened around the ointment, and a coldness flashed in his eyes.

After adjusting her clothes, Gianna waited but noticed no movement behind her. She couldn't help but frown and look back at Felix.

"Aren't you going to apply the medicine? What's taking so long?"

Seeing Felix's gaze on her waist, Gianna felt a moment of distraction, her face flushing down to her ears.

"Felix Clinton! You're a pervert!"

Gianna tried to pull her clothes down, but Felix held her wrist.

"I've already seen it. Isn't it a bit late to be shy now?"

Gianna gave him a cold look, saying, "Not everyone is as shameless as you are!"

Felix chuckled, applying the ointment on Gianna's waist and gently massaging it with his palm.

Feeling the coolness on her waist and Felix's warm palm, Gianna's heartbeat quickened, the warmth spreading from her waist to her chest.

As Gianna felt her heart racing, she bit her lip, hoping this embarrassing moment would end soon. Each second became unbearable.

Minutes passed with Felix's hand still on her waist, Gianna's face flushed with shyness.

"How much longer?" she asked softly, almost a whisper.

"Almost done."

Felix's voice was lower than before, as if he was trying to contain something.

After a while, when the ointment had been fully absorbed, Felix withdrew his hand.

"Done."

Gianna quickly pulled her clothes down to cover her waist stood up and looked at Felix. "Can you leave now?"

Felix wiped the remaining ointment off his hands with a tissue. Noticing Gianna's eagerness for him to leave, he couldn't help but smile.

"Am I tossed aside once I'm done?"

Gianna's eyes showed a hint of embarrassment as she retorted, "Can't you speak properly? What do you mean by 'tossed aside'?"

Gianna felt like she was being portrayed as an irresponsible woman.

"Isn't that what's happening?"

Facing Felix's ambiguous smile, Gianna rolled her eyes. "Fine, whatever you say, just leave now."

Staying in the same space with Felix any longer would drive Gianna crazy.

Felix tossed the tissue into the trash can, then walked to the bedside, leaned down to Gianna's ear, and whispered something.

Gianna's face turned even redder as she glared at Felix in embarrassment. "Felix Clinton! You're a pervert!"

Gianna's angry expression seemed to amuse Felix, who smiled and left.

Gianna angrily threw a pillow at Felix's back, but he effortlessly dodged it effortlessly, further fueling Gianna's frustration.

Once the bedroom door closed, Gianna lay back on the bed, her mind filled with the words Felix had whispered in her ear.

"You're the only one who can see my body."

Gianna touched her flushed face, took a deep breath to calm herself down, and tried not to dwell on it any longer.

As the heat on Gianna's face subsided slightly, the phone next to her rang.

A flicker of surprise crossed her eyes when she saw it was Julian.

As soon as she answered, Julian's voice, filled with suppressed anger, came through.

"Gianna! Quickly delete the Facebook post you made this evening!"

Gianna wasn't surprised at all. Between her and Bella, Julian and Lauren always sided with Bella.

"Why should I delete it? Everything I posted is the truth."

"Do you know that your Facebook post has already affected the Redstone Group? And Bella knows she was wrong. I just scolded her, and she'll apologize to you tomorrow!"

Gianna's silence made Julian continue, "This is our family matter, after all. What does it look like when it's all over the internet? Delete the Facebook post first."

Because of Gianna's Facebook post, Julian had a hard time with shareholders today.

Several potential collaborations that were almost finalized were now being reconsidered.

After realizing the consequences of Gianna's actions, Julian wanted to call and scold her on the spot. Still, after calming down, he decided to call and address the situation with Gianna's attitude toward the Redstone family.

Gianna smiled coldly, her voice icy. "I'm being attacked online. People have come to my doorstep insulting me, and when I was being investigated, that wasn't a family matter. Now that the truth is out, it's suddenly a family matter?"

Julian was taken aback, his tone somewhat unnatural. "I was too busy to notice before."

"In that case, don't use 'family matter' to guilt-trip me. In your eyes, I've never been part of your family, have I?"

"Gianna, it's not like that."

Before Julian could finish his sentence, Gianna hung up the phone.

Julian's face turned extremely grim, his icy gaze falling on Bella.

"Gianna refuses to delete the Facebook post."

As soon as he finished speaking, Lauren raised her voice in anger, "How can she be so cruel! Now that Bella has been criticized online and threatened, she still won't delete the Facebook post. Does she want Bella's career to be completely destroyed?"

Julian was furious, standing up abruptly and saying coldly, "I can't do anything about this matter. You two sort it out yourselves!"

With that, Julian turned and left without another word.

Bella burst into tears immediately, tears streaking down her face.

"Mom, what should I do? People are threatening to kill me online and ruin my career."

Bella had thought winning the design competition would lead to success, with a chance to join Elia's studio, but now it all seemed shattered.

After this incident, Bella's popularity plummeted, and she might not even be able to enter a decent design company.

It was all because of Gianna. Bella wished Gianna would just disappear.

Lauren quickly patted Bella's back, comforting her. "Bella, don't worry; there will be a solution. If there's no other way, you can resort to Felix Clinton."

At the mention of Felix Clinton, Bella's eyes lit up, remembering that Felix had promised to help her get practice at a design company.

With that in mind, Bella quickly dialed Felix's number.
