Chapter 150

Gianna couldn't push Felix away and frowned. "Let me go, or I'm seriously gonna lose it!"

Seeing Gianna blush to the roots of her ears, Felix realized she was genuinely shy and didn't force her further.

As soon as he let go, Gianna got off the bed, put on Felix's slippers, covered her face, and slipped away without saying a word to Mitchell and the others.

With only a few people left in the ward, Mitchell smiled and said, "We came here worried sick about you, but seems like you're doing just fine."

Felix looked indifferent. "Yes, you can leave now."

Mitchell paused for a moment, then jokingly scolded, "Jeez, you seem to have forgotten your friends now."

Raymond, who had been silent since he came in, suddenly spoke up, "So, you and Gianna are good now?"

"Yes."

Felix looked at Raymond, his eyes inadvertently showing a hint of coldness.

Raymond's heart skipped a beat. He lowered his gaze and didn't speak anymore.

Raymond thought he had a chance, but it turned out to be just a joke from God.

Sensing something amiss between the two, Mitchell raised an eyebrow.

"Since Felix is fine now, let's go back first."

After a few of them left, Felix took out his phone and dialed Sophia's number. "Go find out who ordered Kevin to do this!"

The lawyer quickly arranged for Hayden and Kevin to meet. When Kevin saw Hayden, his expression did not change.

When the bomb exploded, Kevin knew that Hayden no longer saw him as a brother.

However, considering that Hayden had previously paid off his gambling debts for him, Kevin didn't rat him out. Otherwise, he would have no one to help him outside, and Faith definitely wouldn't care about his life or death.

"Hayden, you finally came. I've been waiting for you."

After chatting for a while, they reached an agreement. Hayden would find a way to save Kevin from the outside, and Kevin couldn't expose him.

Leaving the station, Hayden felt a weight lift. As long as Kevin didn't betray him, there was still a way out.

Hayden called Faith, his tone cold. "Faith, I just met your dad. Come to my place. I have something to tell you."

Soon, Faith arrived.

"Uncle Hayden, what do you want to talk to me about?" asked Faith.

"Please have a seat."

Hayden looked sincerely concerned, sighed, and said, "Faith, I know your dad has been a mess since the company went bankrupt, doing a lot of crappy things, but he's still your dad."

Faith's eyes showed no warmth. "Uncle Hayden, what exactly do you want to say? Just say it."

"Your dad caused trouble at MY FASHION before, and I heard about it. Fortunately, no one was killed. Since you have a good relationship with Ms. Redstone, why don't you go ask her to spare your dad? After all, he's over fifty now. If he goes to jail, he might not live to see the day he's released."

After hearing this, Faith chuckled coldly.

"You really think highly of me. Ms. Redstone and Mr. Clinton were almost killed because of him. You want me to plead for him? I'm not that shameless!"

As Faith got up to leave, Hayden hurriedly said, "Faith, are you really going to ignore your dad's life like this?"

Faith's expression was icy as she replied slowly, emphasizing each word, "Ever since he started drinking and abusing my mom and me, borrowing money to gamble, he stopped being my dad."

If Kevin hadn't been gambling all the time, drinking, and hitting her mom every time he lost, her mom wouldn't have been driven to suicide.

When Kevin took the bomb to MY FASHION and threatened Gianna's life to extort money from her, Faith lost the last trace of affection for him.

"No matter what, he's still your dad!" said Hayden.

Faith didn't say another word and left directly.

A shadow passed over Hayden's face when he saw Faith leave. He took out a recorder from the desk.

Hayden didn't actually want to save Kevin. Even if he did, Kevin would only continue gambling. It was better for him to be locked up. At least then Hayden could have a few years of peace. But he couldn't bring himself to be that kind of person.

As long as Kevin knew that no one else would look out for him, he wouldn't dare to reveal those things.

Since Gianna and Felix's injuries were not severe, they were discharged from the hospital in a few days.

At Felix's insistence, Gianna agreed to move to Felix's residence and live with him, but they still slept in separate rooms.

Ignoring Felix's displeased look, Gianna moved her things to the guest room.

After packing up, she walked out of the bedroom and saw Felix setting the tableware. She raised her eyebrow. "Is this the takeout you just ordered?"

"Yes, let's eat," said Felix.

During the meal, Gianna asked how the investigation into Kevin was going.

"It's still ongoing, but Kevin insists that he got the bombs on his own and refused to mention anything related to Hayden."

Gianna nodded, unsurprised. "That's normal. He probably knows that if he implicates Hayden, he's done for."

"Hayden paid off one million dollars of Kevin's gambling debts before Kevin took the explosives to MY FASHION."

"No wonder Kevin is willing to take the blame for Hayden," said Gianna.

After dinner, Gianna watched TV on the sofa while Felix went to the study to work.

Just as Felix entered the study, he received a call from Sophia.

"Mr. Clinton, should we continue to follow up with LR Design Studio?" asked Sophia.

Felix fell silent for a few seconds and said coldly, "Once Bella takes over, there's no need to bother anymore."

"Understood."

After hanging up, Felix furrowed his brow.

It seemed like he needed to find an opportunity to talk to Bella and have her state the remaining two conditions so that he could draw the line with her completely.

Since Gianna had forgiven him, Felix didn't want any misunderstandings to arise between them because of other matters.

When Bella received a call from Sophia and learned that the Clinton Group would no longer assist her, she was filled with anger.

'It must be because of that wretched Gianna!' she thought.

Taking a deep breath, Bella dialed Ximena's number.

"Aunt White, there's something I've been thinking about, and I want to tell you."

"What is it?" asked Ximena.

"It's not convenient to talk about this over the phone. Let's meet somewhere," said Bella.

Half an hour later, they met at a very private coffee shop.

Ximena sat across from Bella, looking puzzled.

"Belle, what do you want to tell me? Why are you beating around the bush?"

After hesitating for a moment, Bella slowly said, "Aunt White, twenty-three years ago, my sister didn't go missing. My parents ditched her on purpose."

Ximena looked shocked and frowned. "Are you serious?"

Ximena had never heard of parents abandoning a newborn baby.

Bella nodded. "Yes, it all started with a fortune teller that our family used to trust a lot."

In the end, Ximena didn't know how she ended up back at The Clinton family's old mansion.

Connor spotted her dazed look and furrowed his brow. "Why did you go out and come back looking like you've lost your soul?"

Ximena looked at Connor and, after a long while, slowly spoke, "Do you remember the fortune teller who suddenly died over twenty years ago?"

"Why are you suddenly asking about that?"

"He died suddenly because he revealed that Gianna would bring ruin to the Redstone family, which led to his untimely death," said Ximena.

Connor's face changed slightly. The fortune teller had helped him a lot, and since he listened to the fortune teller's words, the Clinton family had indeed been doing better.

"There's no basis for that. Don't talk nonsense!" said Connor.

Ximena took a deep breath and gritted her teeth. "If you don't believe me, call Julian here and confront him face to face. I'll tell you why the Redstone family didn't take her seriously after bringing her back. That's why Felix has had bad luck since marrying her!"
