Chapter 310
Natalie shot a look at Gianna, let out a heavy sigh, and got up to bounce.
She really dug Gianna and wanted her to be her granddaughter-in-law, but Felix was just way outta line.
Just thinking about how crushed Gianna was before, with him faking that divorce certificate and fooling everyone, Natalie felt a chill run down her spine.
Once it was just the two of them in the living room, Gianna stared at him, all calm and collected.
"Felix, I'm done. I'm begging you, just let me go, okay?" Gianna said, her voice tired.
Hearing the woman he loved most begging to be let go, Felix felt like he'd been hit by a truck, his heart shattering into a million pieces.
He forced himself to swallow the pain, locked eyes with Gianna, and said, "Gianna, you started this. I told you, I'm not letting you go."
"But I'm exhausted. Do you really need to push me to the edge to be happy?" Gianna's eyes were red, and the look she gave him was ice-cold, no love left.
Felix, desperate, said, "I don't want to push you to the edge. I know I messed up. Just don't mention divorce, and you can punish me however you want."
Gianna shook her head, tears streaming down her face.
"I just want a divorce. Sign the papers, and we're done," she cried.
Felix's hand clenched into a fist, his whole vibe turning icy.
"Gianna, I said no divorce!" he insisted.
Seeing the coldness in his eyes, Gianna felt a wave of anger.
She thought she could keep her cool and leave him on good terms, but Felix just knew how to push her buttons. She couldn't hold back anymore.
She glared at him, teeth gritted, "Won't agree? Felix, did you ever really see me as your girlfriend? To you, I'm just a puppet that has to do whatever you say! You don't love me; you love yourself!"
Felix's eyes turned to ice, his gaze cold enough to freeze someone solid.
"Gianna, do you even have a heart? How many times have I saved you, and you never mention that? All the good I've done for you, you just ignore it? Just because I hid the fact that we weren't divorced, you erase all the good I've done?" he spat, smashing a cup on the table to the ground.
"If I really treated you like a puppet, you wouldn't even have the chance to step outside!" he added, his voice dripping with anger.
Gianna was so mad at his self-righteousness that she gritted her teeth. It was his fault, and now he was the one getting angry?
But seeing the coldness in his eyes, she couldn't help but shiver and took a couple of steps back.
Seeing her pull away, a hint of violence flickered in Felix's eyes.
"Come here!" he ordered.
But Gianna didn't move closer; instead, she backed away even more, like he was some kind of monster.
Felix had planned to take her back and sweet-talk her, but now he was done. He quickly stepped forward and scooped her up in his arms.
Gianna, terrified by his cold expression, struggled and yelled, "Let me go! Felix, you jerk! Let me go!"
Just as he was about to carry Gianna out of Harmony Garden, Natalie's angry voice rang out from behind.
"Felix! Stop right there!" Natalie hollered.
Felix paused, turned to face her, and said, "Grandma, this is between Gianna and me. Please, stay out of it."
Natalie was so mad she nearly passed out, her cane thumping hard on the floor as she glared at him, heart full of disappointment.
"Felix, what do you even want? You lied to Gianna first, and now she wants a divorce. You deserve it! If you don't sign those papers, don't even think of calling me your grandmother anymore!" Natalie snapped.
Felix's gaze turned icy, locking onto Natalie.
"Grandma, no matter what you say, I'm not divorcing her. I've chosen her for life," he replied coldly.
His words were like a vow to both Natalie and Gianna.
But Gianna didn't care anymore. Felix had lied too many times, and she couldn't trust him.
With that, Felix carried Gianna out.
Natalie watched them go, worried sick about Gianna but feeling helpless.
The butler stepped up to comfort her, "Mrs. Clinton, this is between Felix and Gianna. Let them sort it out."
Natalie sighed, "I guess that's all we can do for now."
After shoving Gianna into the car, Felix floored it, speeding off.
They zoomed all the way to Tranquil Haven Estate. Felix stopped the car and looked at Gianna, who was pale in the passenger seat.
"Gianna, let's talk," he said.
Gianna shot him a cold look, "The only thing we need to talk about is the divorce."
Felix's face hardened, his gaze turning cold.
"I said, I absolutely won't divorce you!" he shouted.
Gianna sighed, "Then there's nothing more to say. Felix, even if you don't agree to the divorce today, I have other ways."
Felix grabbed her wrist, teeth gritted, "What are you planning? To file a lawsuit? I bet there's no lawyer in Dawnridge who'd dare take your case!"
Gianna chuckled, pushing his hand away, "Felix, since you won't agree to the divorce, I know a lawsuit won't scare you."
"Besides a lawsuit, what other way do you have to force me to divorce you?" Felix demanded.
"If you don't agree to the divorce, I'll cheat on you until you do!" Her eyes were calm, like she was talking about the weather.
"You wouldn't dare!" Felix's eyes blazed with rage, his whole being like a block of ice, making anyone who looked at him shiver.
Gianna raised an eyebrow, "If you don't agree to the divorce, you can see if I dare."
Felix stared at her, like he was seeing her for the first time, "Gianna, don't push me to lock you up."
Gianna sneered, "Go ahead and lock me up. But this time, I won't submit, and I definitely won't forgive you!"
In the three years of their marriage, she had exhausted all her passion. When she was hurt to the core by this one-sided love and wanted to leave, he wouldn't let her go, forcing her to fall in love with him again.
But this time, it led to an even deeper abyss.
Maybe from the start, she shouldn't have forgiven him. Then there wouldn't have been these lies. She wouldn't have felt like a drowning person, who once surfaced only to be pushed back under water by him again and again, unable to breathe.
"Think about it. I won't be coming back to Tranquil Haven Estate for a while. Call me when you've made up your mind," Gianna said.
