Chapter 149
The bomb didn't explode, and the countdown stopped.
Gianna and Kevin both breathed a sigh of relief, but before they could fully relax, the countdown that had paused began rapidly ticking down.
In the next second, a slender hand suddenly reached out from the side, grabbed the explosive, and swiftly ran outside.
"Felix!"
Gianna got up and rushed toward Felix, but it was too late.
Felix had just thrown the bomb out, and with a loud bang, it exploded.
A huge shockwave hit, causing Gianna to fall directly to the ground and black out.
When she woke up again, Gianna sat up abruptly, startling the person by her bedside.
"Gianna, are you awake? Anything feel off?"
Gianna yanked the needle out of her hand, grabbed Faith's hand, and asked, "Where is Felix?"
"Don't worry. He's fine, just a bit banged up. He's in the next room over."
As Faith spoke, Gianna let go and ran barefoot out of the room.
Pushing open the door to the next room, she saw Felix sitting on the bed, his head wrapped in bandages, looking a bit pale. Gianna ran straight to Felix and hugged him.
Feeling Felix's warmth, Gianna finally breathed a sigh of relief, hoarsely saying, "Thank goodness you're okay."
Felix's body stiffened for a moment, then he reached out to embrace the slightly trembling Gianna, comforting her in a low voice. "I'm fine. Don't worry."
Gianna, with red eyes, felt guilty and sorrowful.
"I'm sorry. It's because of me that you got hurt again."
"It was my choice. You don't have to feel pressured."
As soon as he finished speaking, Gianna's choked voice sounded in his ear.
"Felix, let's start over."
After all they had been through, Gianna did not doubt Felix's feelings for her, so she was willing to give each other a chance to start anew.
Knowing that the bomb could explode at any moment, Felix steadfastly stayed by Gianna's side.
When he picked up the bomb without hesitation as the countdown rapidly dropped, Gianna's defenses crumbled.
Felix paused, silent for several seconds, before speaking in a rough voice, "You don't have to force yourself to be with me out of gratitude."
"No, it's not gratitude. I wouldn't be with someone out of gratitude," said Gianna.
After a moment, Felix spoke softly, "Okay."
Gianna held onto Felix tightly, feeling a sense of security in her heart.
Gianna let go of Felix and asked, "Apart from your head, are you injured anywhere else?"
"No," replied Felix.
"That's good."
Seeing Gianna running out barefoot, Felix frowned and carried her back to the bed.
"Why did you run out without shoes on?"
Gianna felt embarrassed, lowered her eyes, and said softly, "I was just too worried about you. I didn't pay attention."
"I'll get your shoes for you."
As he spoke, the door to the room was pushed open, and Bella walked in with red eyes.
"Felix, I heard you were injured."
Before Bella could finish her sentence, she saw the two people on the bed, a look of disbelief flashing in her eyes.
"You... you two..."
Felix indifferently asked, "Do you need something from me?"
Bella bit her lip, her eyes full of grievance. "Felix, I came to see you."
"I'm fine. You can leave," said Felix.
Although Bella felt unwilling, the coldness in Felix's eyes made her eventually stomp her foot and leave.
As she left, Bella gave Gianna a cold look full of jealousy and anger.
After Bella left, Gianna pushed Felix away with some dissatisfaction and said, "You used to be all about beautiful women, right? How come you're so indifferent to Bella now? Is it because I'm around throwing you off your game?"
Felix couldn't help but chuckle. "That's all in the past. Now you should know who I like."
Gianna snorted, "Not really."
"Let me prove it to you."
With that, Felix grabbed Gianna's chin and kissed her.
After the kiss, Gianna gasped for breath as she leaned against Felix's chest, gritting her teeth. "Rogue!"
"So, get it now?"
Gianna looked up at him, pursed her lips, and said, "I'll let go of what happened between you and Bella before, but from now on, you're not allowed to have any relationship with her, or I won't give you another chance."
A shadow passed through Felix's eyes, and then he lowered his head and chuckled softly. "Understood."
"Oh, how's Kevin? He must have been manipulated by someone," asked Gianna.
At the mention of this, Felix's expression became serious, and he said coldly, "He wasn't injured, just frightened. He's now been taken away by the police for questioning."
Gianna nodded. "Okay, the person behind him, if I'm not mistaken, should be Hayden."
Felix looked surprised. "The shareholder of MY FASHION?"
"Yes, but we need evidence," said Gianna.
Felix lowered his head and pecked Gianna's lips, saying, "I'll investigate this matter. You rest well recently."
"Okay."
On the other side, Hayden found out that Kevin had been arrested, and Gianna had only suffered minor injuries, which made him so angry that he swept the documents on the table to the ground.
"This useless guy!"
Hayden immediately called his lawyer and said coldly, "I want to see Kevin!"
Hayden thought he must not let Kevin reveal his secrets, or he would be finished!
Downstairs at MY FASHION, the explosion just now alarmed many people from MY FASHION and other companies. The news that Gianna and Felix were husband and wife spread throughout Dawnridge.
[Gianna and Felix are actually married, huh? I'm shocked. Wasn't Felix always attending various banquets and events with Bella before?]
[Rich people always have affairs. I guess he wants to have both sisters. But with Bella and Gianna being twins, can he tell them apart?]
[Aren't we missing the point here? Shouldn't we be discussing the explosion case now? I remember a villa exploded not long ago. Could there be a connection between these two incidents?]
[Explosions are not as interesting as the intrigues of the wealthy. I guess Gianna and Bella will have a falling out because of Felix!]
Seeing the comments online, Gianna frowned and angrily threw her phone at Felix.
"It's all because of you. We're already divorced. Did you deliberately say I was your wife in front of so many people?"
Felix's eyes flickered, and he looked down, saying, "The situation was urgent at the time. I just wanted Kevin to know you were my wife and be cautious. I didn't expect it to spread."
"You explain it yourself," said Gianna.
Felix put away his phone, looked at Gianna, and said, "I just said you were my wife. Now, explaining that we're divorced won't make anyone believe it."
"Do you mean to do this on purpose?"
Felix hugged her tightly and whispered, "No, we're back together now. Whether I explain it or not doesn't matter."
Gianna frowned, about to speak, when the door to the room suddenly opened.
The person standing there was shocked at seeing them hugging in the room.
"Felix... Miss Redstone, you two..."
Gianna turned to look at the newcomer, seeing it was Mitchell and others. She immediately tried to pull away from Felix's embrace, but he held her waist tightly.
"Let go of me!"
Felix remained calm. "What are you afraid of? The fact that we're back together will be known sooner or later."
Moreover, Felix felt that Raymond's attitude toward Gianna was a bit off, so it wouldn't hurt to tell everyone that they were back together.
