Chapter 205
Julian froze, staring at Lauren. He asked, "What did you say?"
Lauren's eyes were icy as she gritted her teeth. She remarked, "Don't think you can hide it forever! You took that woman on this business trip too. It's disgusting!"
Julian went silent, his face cold. He asked, "When did you find out?"
Lauren revealed, "The last time I went to the Redstone Group to find you."
Julian said coldly, "Since you know, there's nothing more to say. Let's get divorced."
Lauren was shocked, unable to believe Julian's words. She glared at him, furious, and asked, "The last time you wanted a divorce, was it also for that woman?"
Julian's eyes hardened, and replied, "She has a name, and it was my decision. Don't abuse her again."
Seeing her husband defend another woman, Lauren found it laughable, She sneered, "No matter who started it, she willingly became your mistress. If I had known, I would never have let her into the Redstone Group!"
Julian insisted, "Enough. Since you know, let's prepare for a divorce."
Lauren's heart sank, her eyes reddening as she said, "You're divorcing me for her?"
Julian replied indifferently, "I'll have the divorce papers sent over by my secretary."
With that, Julian turned to leave.
Lauren shouted, "If you walk out that door tonight, by tomorrow everyone in Dawnridge will know about Daisy being your mistress!"
Julian sneered, "Try it. If I hear any rumors, don't expect a penny from me!"
Watching Julian leave, Lauren broke down, crying on the couch.
Bella walked over, patting her back to comfort her, "Mom, don't be sad. There's still a way to fix this."
Lauren choked up, "I've given so much for him, and now he wants to divorce me for her. I won't let her off!"
Thinking of Daisy, Lauren wished she could slap her. She had brought Daisy out of the mountains, not for Daisy to end up with her husband!
Bella nodded and said, "Alright, I'll contact aunt and tell her about Daisy."
After Lauren arranged for Daisy to join the Redstone Group, that aunt would bring Lauren vegetables and fruits every year. Bella had always ignored her.
Hearing this, Lauren seemed to grasp her last hope, "Yes, call her now."
Over the years, the aunt had always been grateful to Lauren, and she knew they wouldn't let Daisy off.
After leaving the Redstone family, Julian didn't go to Daisy's place but instead went to Tranquil Haven Estate to find Gianna.
Seeing him, Gianna's expression was cold. She asked, "Julian, what do you want?"
Noticing Gianna's coldness, Julian looked embarrassed, and explained, "Gianna, I was on a business trip and didn't know Belle had taken you to court. I came as soon as I found out."
Gianna knew he wouldn't come unless he needed something, "Really?"
Julian said, "Really, I already scolded her at home, and she promised not to go against you again."
Gianna replied impatiently, "Alright, I know. If there's nothing else, I need to rest."
Gianna was about to close the door, but Julian quickly held it open.
Julian insisted, "Wait, I have one more thing to say."
Gianna's eyes flashed with impatience, and asked, "What is it?"
Before Julian could speak, a cold voice came from inside the villa, "Gianna, who are you talking to?"
Gianna turned to answer, but Julian raised his voice, "Felix, it's me. I just got back and heard about Bella and Gianna, so I came to check on Gianna."
As soon as he finished, he saw Gianna smirking at him, her eyes full of mockery.
Julian felt his face flush, sensing that Gianna had seen through his intentions.
Gianna opened the villa door wide, stepping aside with a calm expression, and said, "Seems Julian has something to say to Felix. You can say it now."
Gianna didn't want to listen to Julian at all!
But in front of Felix, he didn't dare speak harshly to her, so he smiled awkwardly, and said, "Gianna, what are you talking about? I'm here to see you."
Gianna looked at him coldly, and replied, "Now that you've seen me, you can leave."
The air seemed to freeze.
Julian looked at Felix, who was staring at him coldly, then at Gianna, who was indifferent. In the end, he swallowed his pride, and said, "Felix, I do have some business to discuss with you."
Felix's expression was cold, and he was about to ask him to leave when he suddenly thought of something, "Let's talk in the study."
Gianna looked back at Felix in confusion, thinking, 'Wasn't he planning to stop working with The Redstone Group? Why the sudden change of heart?'
However, Felix didn't look at her, turning and walking into the study.
No one knew what they discussed in the study, but when they came out, Julian had a smile on his face, looking like he had gained some benefit.
He walked up to Gianna, smiling, and said, "Gianna, your cousin Chloe got into Harvard for her master's. She's coming back next week for a break, and your grandmother is planning a party to celebrate. You and Felix should come."
Gianna pursed her lips. Her impression of Chloe was that she was Peter's pride, always excelling in her studies and good at charming the elders, so the Redstone family adored her.
When she first returned to the Redstone family, she thought that mimicking Chloe would earn her everyone's love, but she later realized she was wrong.
In the eyes of the Redstone family, she was just a jinx who would bring ruin to the family, and nothing she did would make them accept her.
Just like now, Julian was only being nice to her to curry favor with Felix.
Gianna replied coldly, "We'll see. There's a lot of work at the company, so we might not have time."
Julian nodded and said, "Alright, but it would be best if you could come. Your grandmother misses you."
Gianna replied, "Okay."
After sending Julian off, Gianna turned to Felix, who had been silent, raising an eyebrow. She asked, "What did you give him?"
Felix said nonchalantly, "Nothing, just some work-related matters."
Gianna didn't ask further, and said, "Alright, I'm going to take a shower. You should rest early."
As she passed by Felix, he suddenly grabbed her wrist.
Felix asked, "Are you angry?"
Gianna looked up at him, smirking as she spoke, "The Clinton Group is your company. You can work with whoever you want. It's none of my business."
Felix chuckled, looking at her seriously, and said, "If you want, of course, you can."
Gianna shook off his hand, looking at him expressionlessly and replied, "I don't want to."
"Alright." Felix pretended to be disappointed.
Gianna ignored him, heading to the bedroom.
Felix smiled, turning to go back to his room, but then he received a call from James.
James informed, "Mr. Clinton, there's news from Thundertop. Jonah has woken up."
