Chapter 97

"Gianna, I haven't told you what it is yet."
Gianna pursed her lips and replied, "Whatever it is, I won't help you. Please, Mr. Lisa, find someone else."
She had no intention of being involved with Felix's social circle after their divorce.
As they entered the villa and closed the door, Laura couldn't help but complain about him.
"Mitchell, just like a persistent adhesive! He came to me several times today, wanting me to be the spokesperson for his company's new product! If I could offend him, I would have driven him away!"
Hearing Laura describe Mitchell as an adhesive, Gianna couldn't help but chuckle.
Mitchell dated different girls because of his good-looking face, and he often boasted about his ability to avoid trouble. If he knew Laura despised him, his expression would be priceless.
"It won't take much time to do the endorsement, so why not take the money that comes so easily? Consider it as the contribution to your retirement fund."
Laura looked at her with mixed feelings and asked, "Do you know what his company's new product is?"
"What?"
"Condoms."
Gianna nearly choked on her water, looking at Laura in disbelief. "He must be crazy."
"If I weren't afraid that he would invest in a project of mine in the future, I would have asked him to see a psychiatrist today."
After a few words, they started dinner. Laura's mother was a chef, so her cooking was good. Compared to Laura's mother, Gianna only has ordinary cooking.
After eating two bowls of pasta, Gianna lay down on the sofa with Laura and put the dishes in the dishwasher.
Laura came over and pulled her up. "Don't lie down. Let's go for a walk after dinner."
"Okay," Gianna replied.

Mitchell was already gone when they left the house.
They walked around the villa's road and returned after 8 p.m.
Gianna went upstairs to take a shower and was about to go to work at the study when she received a message from Felix.
Felix: [I'll pick you up tomorrow.]
The abrupt sentence made Gianna furrow her brows.
She recalled that she didn't have any plans to meet Felix recently, so she didn't reply and went straight to the study to work.
In the 8888 VIP Private Room of Dawnridge's largest nightclub, a few people were playing cards, but Felix and Mitchell seemed distracted.
After winning several rounds, Raymond pushed his cards away and said, "I do not want to play with yours, which seem to have lost your souls, having no sense of achievement."
Felix picked up his phone and stood up. "I'm going out for a smoke."
Raymond glanced at him and teased, "You've looked at your phone at least twenty times since earlier. Are you waiting for Bella's message?"
A hint of indifference flashed in Felix's eyes, and he said calmly, "No."
Outside the private room, Felix walked to the end of the corridor and opened WhatsApp. The interface was still on the message he sent to Gianna an hour ago, but she didn't reply.
A sense of annoyance unconsciously arose in Felix's heart, and he suddenly regretted letting her go so easily before.
Since moving out of Grand View, he hadn't been sleeping well. He was unaccustomed to not seeing her before going to work in the morning, nor was he used to the darkness that greeted him at home every evening.
"What's up?" Gianna asked.
A cold voice came from Felix's phone, and he realized that he had unknowingly dialed her number.
Without waiting for Felix's response, Gianna furrowed her brows. "If there's nothing, I'll hang up."
Just as she was about to hang up the phone, Felix's indifferent voice came from the phone.
Felix asked, "Did you not see the message I sent you just now?"
Gianna paused for two seconds. "I saw it."
"Why didn't you reply?" Felix questioned.
"I thought you sent it by mistake," Gianna replied.
Gianna pressed her lips together and said slowly, "I've been busy with work these days and didn't have time to visit Grandma Clinton. I'll go with you next time."
Felix's tone became increasingly strange. "When did I say we are going to visit Grandma Clinton?"
"Why did you text me if not to visit her?"
Felix gritted his teeth and said coldly, "Bella didn't inform you?"
"What?"
Suddenly realizing that he was probably talking about Julian inviting him to dinner, Gianna couldn't help but purse her lips.
"Mr. Clinton, the Redstone family invited you to dinner, and I don't think I need to be there. It will only make the meal unpleasant."
All of the Redstone family, including Felix, didn't like her, and her presence would only make things awkward.
"Why don't you need to be present? You're a member of Redstone."
Gianna felt speechless.
She suspected that Felix was looking for a reason to pick on her.
"Mr. Clinton, I'm really busy tomorrow, and I don't have time..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Felix interrupted, "There's always time for a meal. I'll pick you up after working, that's it."
Before Gianna could say something, Felix hung up the phone.
After hesitating for a moment, Gianna sent him a message, indicating that she was really busy tomorrow.
However, Felix probably didn't see it or chose not to respond.
The next day, as soon as Gianna arrived at the office, she called Faith into her office and handed her the information she had found.
Faith's face turned extremely angry after reading it.
Trinity was someone she had personally recruited, and she had always thought Trinity was reliable and serious. But she never expected that Trinity would be the niece of the brand director of Orb Design Studio.
If there was no plagiarism incident, she could have let it go, but the fact that Trinity was involved in both incidents made her suspect that it was a conspiracy planned by Trinity from the moment she came for the interview.
"There wasn't enough evidence to prove that Trinity leaked the design drafts, but if I'm not mistaken, when Trinity uploaded the initial draft electronically on MY FASHION, Orb Design Studio already had an earlier 'draft.'"
Faith's expression was grim. "I can't understand why she would use such a method to stitch up MY FASHION. Plagiarism is an intolerable shame for a designer!"
Gianna smiled and said, "You may think it's a shame, but not everyone sees it that way."
Perhaps helping with this matter would bring Trinity enough benefits to live a comfortable life.
"I will investigate this matter thoroughly. If it is indeed Trinity's doing, I will not let her off!"
"I am already gathering evidence, so you don't need to take action now."
"Okay." After Faith left, Gianna opened WhatsApp and sent a message to the person with the black profile picture.
Gianna: [Help me investigate a person.]
After sending Trinity's information, the other side replied with an OK gesture. Then Gianna put down her phone and started working.
Perhaps this plagiarism incident was not a bad thing for MY FASHION. She could have used it to turn the tables.
And there was another news she hadn't told Faith.
Orb Design Studio was a consignment brand, and it only had a few designers. Even if they were to pin the accusation of plagiarism on MY FASHION, they wouldn't gain anything.
So it was highly likely that they were being made scapegoats, and the real mastermind was hiding behind Orb Design Studio.
She already had her suspicions about who it might be.
As the end of the workday approached, Otis came to her office.
Otis reminded, "Gianna, the plagiarism incident has caused quite a stir. Entertainment reporters are all over the company downstairs. You should leave from the basement later."
Upon hearing this, Gianna got up and walked to the window, where she indeed saw many people gathered outside MY FASHION.
A cold light flashed in her eyes, and she said indifferently, "Call the police."
