"When the Clinton Group issued a financial notice saying they were pulling their investment, they conducted an audit and found out about it," Ella said.
Bella's face went pale, and she sounded panicked, "I need to get back right away."
If they found out she embezzled funds, she could end up in jail.
Thinking about this, Bella rushed to the Clinton Group to find Felix.
But as soon as she got there, the security guard stopped her.
"Bella, Mr. Clinton said he won't see you."
Bella's face turned cold, and she looked angry, "I'm not leaving until I see him!"
The security guard glanced at the blazing sun and sighed, "Bella, even if you stand here all day, Mr. Clinton won't see you."
Bella bit her lip, said nothing, and stood her ground, looking determined.
Seeing he couldn't convince her, the guard went back to his post.
As time passed, the heat intensified, and Bella started sweating.
Around noon, Gianna arrived at the Clinton Group to discuss a deal with Felix. She saw Bella standing outside the entrance, looking faint but ignored her and walked inside.
Bella spotted her and got agitated.
"Gianna, stop right there!" Bella yelled.
She blocked Gianna, her eyes full of hate and jealousy.
"Did you make Felix humiliate me like this?" she accused.
Gianna looked confused and coldly replied, "Bella, you're paranoid. I don't even know why you're here. How could I make Felix humiliate you?"
"Stop pretending. If it weren't for you, why would Felix pull the investment from LR Design Studio?" Bella questioned sharply.
Gianna finally got it and chuckled, "You should ask yourself that. You're just facing the consequences of your own actions."
Bella glared at her, "Do you think I'll just lose to you like this? Gianna, let's wait and see!"
Gianna ignored her and walked into the building.
Bella watched her until she disappeared, then left.
Gianna went to the top floor, and Sophia took her to Felix's office.
"Mr. Clinton, Gianna is here to discuss the cooperation details," Sophia announced Gianna's arrival.
After learning about Gianna's collaboration with Raymond, Felix had proposed a deal with MY FASHION. Gianna finally agreed after days of pestering.
Felix looked up and said, "Have a seat. I'll be with you after I finish this document."
Sophia poured Gianna a glass of water and left. Gianna sat opposite Felix, placed the document on the table, and looked around his office. The decor was similar to their home, all in cool tones.
Even though they had been married for three years, Gianna rarely visited the Clinton Group's office building. The few times she did were for business.
A few minutes later, Felix signed the document and looked at Gianna.
"Shall we have lunch together later?" he proposed.
Gianna pursed her lips, pushed the document forward, and said seriously, "Felix, please review the contract first. If there's anything you're not satisfied with, we can change it now."
Felix glanced at the contract briefly and signed at the last page.
Gianna frowned, sounding displeased, "Our legal team worked overtime on this. You should at least look it over."
Felix handed the document back, "Now that business is done, can we talk about personal matters?"
Hearing "personal matters", Gianna suddenly remembered seeing Bella downstairs.
She took the document, snorted, and said, "If you want to talk personal matters, Bella's waiting at the entrance. She probably has a lot of personal matters to talk with you."
She stood to leave, but Felix grabbed her hand, a smile in his eyes, "Are you angry?"
Gianna shook off his hand and smirked, "Nothing to be angry about. Just telling you what I saw. She’s been standing there for a while. You're always so considerate, even bringing an umbrella when someone gets caught in the rain. Knowing she's been in the sun, you must feel sorry for her."
Felix suddenly got up and walked around the desk towards her. Gianna instinctively stepped back, "What are you doing?"
In the next second, he grabbed her waist and lifted her onto the desk. She was wearing a short silk dress, and the movement barely covered her underwear, exposing her thighs to Felix's eyes.
Gianna quickly used the document to cover her legs, gritting her teeth, "Bastard!"
Felix cupped her chin and kissed her. Gianna struggled to break free, but he held her waist tightly, not giving her a chance to escape, forcing her to endure his kiss.
When the kiss ended, Gianna was left breathless and weak, leaning against him to catch her breath. He rested his chin on her head, his voice low and pleasant, "I only have time to care about you, no one else."
Despite telling herself not to believe his sweet words, she couldn't help but feel a bit happy. She quickly realized she had fallen for Felix again.
She closed her eyes and leaned against him, hoping he wouldn't disappoint her this time.
After calming down, Gianna was about to ask Felix to let her go when the office door suddenly opened, and James walked in hurriedly.
"Mr. Clinton, there's an issue with the developer of Fantasia City."
Before he could finish, he saw the scene and was stunned. He quickly reacted, "I didn't see anything!"
James quickly turned and left, thoughtfully closing the door behind him.
Gianna didn't expect to be seen sitting on Felix's desk, with her hands around his neck. She was both embarrassed and angry. She glared at Felix and accused, "It's all your fault!"
Felix showed no guilt, only satisfaction as he replied, "We're a couple. It's normal."
Gianna pushed him away, jumped off the desk, and angrily said, "I'll have my secretary handle the rest of the cooperation details with you!"
She didn't want to come to his office again. Experiencing such an awkward situation once was enough. She didn't know what James would think of her.
Thinking of this, Gianna felt even more furious.
Felix frowned, stretched out his arm, and pulled her into his embrace, saying in a low voice, "No, if you don't come, I'll go to MY FASHION to discuss it with you personally."
They stared at each other for a few seconds. Gianna glared at him, "Let me go!"
"Promise me you'll handle the follow-up work personally," Felix said earnestly.
Gianna gritted her teeth, "You're so childish!"
"If you don't agree, I'll kiss you until you do!" he threatened playfully.
Seeing him lower his head, Gianna quickly said, "Fine, I agree. You can let go... Mmm..."
Before she could finish, Felix kissed her.
Gianna cursed in her heart, 'Bad man who doesn't keep his word!'
Half an hour later, when Gianna walked out of Felix's office, she didn't dare to look at James's expression. She kept her head down and left quickly.
After Gianna left, Felix straightened his suit and called James in.
"What happened with the developer of Fantasia City?" Felix asked.
