Chapter 243
Felix's face turned grim, and he drove straight to the Clinton Group.
Meanwhile, in the president's office at the Clinton Group, Thomas's injury made his smile look ridiculous.
"Gianna, what are you doing here? Inviting me to my aunt's funeral?"
Gianna replied coldly, "You have people monitoring the hospital. You should know she's in a coma, right?"
Thomas raised an eyebrow, "I heard this morning, but these things happen."
"I won't let you harm her."
"She's already in a coma. I won't do anything. Seeing her suffer is enough for me."
Thomas's hatred for Ximena was clear, a stark contrast to his once gentle image. His eyes were now filled with malice.
Gianna frowned, "You said Felix's parents killed yours. Do you have proof?"
Thomas sneered, "I do, but I won't show it. I want Connor to suffer first, then hand the evidence to the police."
Gianna placed a USB drive on the table, "Your parents offended someone before their accident. Maybe you should check if it's related."
Thomas picked up the USB drive and tossed it in the trash, "You mean William Gray?"
Gianna's face changed, "You know?"
"William was loyal to Connor. If my parents' death is related to him, Connor must have been behind it."
"William moved abroad after the accident and has kept a low profile. You can't just assume Felix's parents were involved because William worked for Connor. That's a stretch."
Thomas's gaze turned cold, "Connor's fingerprints were on the brake pads of my parents' car. They had a huge fight with Ximena because she wanted Connor to be vice president, and my parents refused."
Gianna's expression changed. Connor and Ximena indeed had a motive, and the fingerprints made it more suspicious.
"If there were fingerprints, why didn't you call the police?"
Thomas sneered, "Call the police? The officer handling the case was Connor's best friend. Jail would be too easy. I want them to suffer."
Meeting Thomas's cold gaze, Gianna pressed her lips together. "You've already set up Ximena, making her car go off a cliff. Isn't that enough?"
It wasn't enough. Thomas had been waiting for years to avenge his parents. This was just the beginning.
Thomas feigned innocence, laughing, "Gianna, I don't understand. She committed suicide, and I was stopped by you at Dawnridge Cemetery. What does this have to do with me?"
Gianna hadn't expected Thomas to be so cautious.
She stood up coldly, "Thomas, whatever you've done, there will be traces. Whether Felix's parents were involved or not, you'll pay for this someday."
Thomas's smile didn't change, looking provocative, "Gianna, if there's nothing else, I have work to do. Jason will see you out."
Gianna turned and left, while Thomas stared at her back, his eyes cold.
After the office door closed, Thomas immediately dialed a number.
"Look into Gianna's background. She's not as simple as she seems."
This confrontation left Thomas feeling uneasy, with a familiar vibe that made him cautious. But no matter what, Gianna wouldn't stop his revenge.
Just as Gianna walked out of the Clinton Group, she saw Felix striding towards her, looking unusually panicked.
"What are you doing here?" she asked in surprise.
Seeing she was fine, Felix sighed in relief but his face turned cold, "Why did you see Thomas alone? Do you know how dangerous he is?"
"This is the Clinton Group. He wouldn't try anything here," Gianna replied.
Felix's face darkened, and he gritted his teeth, "Don't see him alone again!"
Gianna nodded, "Got it. Let's go back."
"Why did you go see him?" Felix asked.
"I wanted him to admit he set up Ximena's accident, but he was too cautious," Gianna said helplessly.
"Just for that?" Felix asked coldly.
"What else? I was trying to help you. Why are you still upset?"
Felix took a deep breath to calm down, "I'll handle this. Don't put yourself in danger."
"Got it. Let's go back."
Back at the villa, while having porridge, Gianna mentioned William to Felix and asked him to look into him.
"William?" Felix frowned. "He used to work for Connor and often came to the Clinton family. Now that you mention it, I haven't seen him since Jesse and Maria passed away."
At that time, Thomas had disappeared, and Connor and Ximena were constantly arguing. Natalie refused to hand over the Clinton Group to Connor and gave it to Felix instead. Connor initially made a fuss, but Natalie gave him money to start his own business, which quieted him down. In recent years, Connor's business ventures haven't been particularly successful or failed, but he makes tens of millions annually. Given his age, he has given up on becoming the president of the Clinton Group.
"William is related to Jesse and Maria's car accident. Finding him might reveal the truth. And there's one more thing..."
"What is it?" Felix asked.
"Thomas said there were Connor's fingerprints on the brake pads of the car in which his parents had the accident. But because the officer handling the case was Connor's friend, he hid the evidence and planned to take revenge himself."
Felix frowned, "If my dad wanted to harm Jesse and Maria, he wouldn't do it himself."
"I also find this evidence suspicious, but Thomas believes your parents are the culprits."
Finding William seemed crucial now.
Felix's expression turned cold as he picked up his phone and dialed a number, "Find out where William is right now! Once you find him, bring him to me immediately!"
After hanging up, he stood up, "I'm going to the Clinton family estate."
Gianna nodded, "Okay, come back early."
Half an hour later, Felix walked into the Clinton family estate. Connor was having dinner, looking grim. Thomas's press conference had caused his company's stock price to drop significantly, losing a hundred million dollars in market value in one day.
Seeing Felix, Connor frowned, "What are you doing here?"
Felix's expression was cold as he stopped a few steps away, "You had a subordinate named William. After Jesse and Maria's car accident, he went abroad. Do you know where he is now?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the fork in Connor's hand fell to the ground.
