Chapter 208
Bella was just as stunned. The kid looked a lot like Julian. Even a fool could see he was Julian's illegitimate son.
Realizing what was happening, Lauren rushed forward and slapped Daisy twice.
Lauren said furiously, "You even had a kid! I can't stand you!"
Daisy fought back, grabbing Lauren's hair. They started brawling.
People at the hospital entrance gathered to watch.
By the time Julian got there, both women looked a mess.
Julian scolded, "Lauren! What are you doing? Aren't you embarrassed?"
Lauren laughed coldly, pointing at the scared child. She retorted, "Julian, you have an illegitimate kid and you're not ashamed. Why should I be?"
Julian's face darkened. He ordered, "Go home. We'll talk later!"
But Lauren was done. She glared at him. She said, "No, we're settling this now!"
The crowd whispered, some recording the scene. It quickly went viral online.
Gianna and Felix hadn't even reached home when Faith called.
Faith informed, "Gianna, Lauren found out about Julian's affair and his kid. It's all over the internet. I sent you the video!"
Gianna watched the video. Julian and Lauren were facing off, both looking rough. Lauren looked like a madwoman, not her usual elegant self.
Next to her was a woman holding a kid, probably Julian's mistress. Gianna recognized her as Julian's secretary from when she lived with the Redstone family.
Judging by the kid's age, Julian had been cheating for years.
Gianna put down her phone, indifferently. The Redstone family's drama wasn't her problem anymore.
But Bella showed up the next morning.
Bella remarked, "Gianna, you heard about Julian's affair. Now he wants to divorce Lauren."
Gianna looked at her coldly, and said, "This has nothing to do with me."
Bella bit her lip, and asked, "No matter how mad you are at Lauren, she's still your mother. Are you really going to let them divorce?"
Gianna frowned, and questioned, "What do you want?"
Bella suggested, "Talk to Julian. Convince him not to divorce Lauren."
Gianna found it amusing, and said sarcastically, "You really trust me!"
Bella begged, "Gianna, please?"
Before Gianna could respond, Felix's cold voice cut in.
Felix stated, "Bella, anything about the Redstone family is none of Gianna's business. Don't come near her again!"
Bella turned, meeting Felix's icy stare, and shivered.
Bella responded angrily, "Felix, this is a family matter. Stay out of it!"
Gianna stood up, and remarked, "What he said is also my opinion. Don't waste your time here. Find another way. You always have plenty of ideas."
Hearing the sarcasm in Gianna's tone, Bella bit her lip hard. If it weren't for Felix's feelings for Gianna and Julian's need to please Felix, she wouldn't have come today!
Seeing Gianna about to leave, Bella's tone turned cold as she said, "Gianna, aren't you afraid you'll regret being so heartless?"
Gianna smiled slightly, and retorted, "Whether I regret it or not is my business. Mind your own."
Gianna looked at Felix, and said, "I'm tired. I'll go rest in my room."
Felix agreed, "Okay."
After Gianna left, the room fell silent.
Bella clenched her fists, seething with anger.
"Still not leaving?" Felix's cold voice broke the silence, making Bella's heart sink.
She stood up, her voice steady, "Felix, don't forget, you still owe me one last favor."
Felix looked at her coldly, "You want to use it now?"
Bella's eyes showed a struggle, but she finally lowered her gaze, and replied, "No, I'll handle my family's affairs myself."
Felix said nothing more, just stared at her, clearly indicating she should leave.
Bella took a deep breath and left.
Back at the Redstone house, Lauren was still crying on the couch, just as she had been when Bella left.
Bella felt annoyed. The company's issues had already exhausted her, and now Julian's affair and his desire to divorce Lauren were driving her crazy.
After calming down at the door, Bella walked over to Lauren and sat beside her.
Belle suggested, "Lauren, stop crying. It won't help. We need to find a way to make Dad change his mind."
Lauren paused her sobbing, wiping her tears, and complained, "I've been so good to him all these years, and he treats me like this! I want to kill him!"
Bella took a deep breath, and said, "Complaining won't help. We need to solve this."
Lauren asked, "Didn't you see Gianna? What did she say?"
Bella's eyes flickered, and answered, "Gianna said the Redstone family's affairs have nothing to do with her."
Lauren's face showed an "I knew it" expression, "I knew she wouldn't help me!"
Bella said calmly, "Enough of that. I've asked a lawyer to investigate Julian's assets and apply for a freeze. If he really wants a divorce, we'll sue him for adultery."
Bella's expression was calm.
Julian had a son with Daisy and hid it for years. His intentions were clear.
Thinking about how Julian had promised to hand over the Redstone Group to her, Bella felt it was hypocritical. He probably always intended to leave the company to his mistress, which was why he hadn't let her handle any business or gain experience over the years.
Lauren wiped her tears and nodded, saying, "I understand, Bella. I'll listen to you."
Bella held her hand, and advised, "Lauren, you've been with Julian for so many years. It's best to find a way to win him back. Once his heart is back, we can deal with Daisy and her child slowly. There's no rush."
Though she said this, Bella knew it was almost impossible for Julian to come back. Daisy was young, beautiful, and had given him a son.
Lauren replied, "Okay, I understand. I'll think about what to do."
She didn't want to divorce Julian, not because she still had feelings for him, but because she didn't want Daisy to feel happy!
As they were talking, Aurora walked up and announced, "Madam, your cousin is here."
