Chapter 89
A week later, Gianna did receive received the divorce judgment.
When she received it, she didn't know how she felt. She wouldn't say she was happy, but there was a sense of finality.
She put away the divorce judgment, got up and started packing. She still planned to move to Northern Suburbs Villa, which was closer to her workplace.
As for the Villa, since Felix had already given it to her, there was no problem selling it.
After putting the Villa on the second-hand market, Gianna moved to North Town Villa.
To her surprise, she ran into Jonah.
Jonah's gaze fell on her luggage, and there was a hint of anticipation in his eyes.
"What is this?" he asked.
"I got divorced, so I moved here," she replied.
The news of her divorce from Felix would eventually spread, so there was no need to hide anything.
Jonah paused for a moment, then a hint of joy flashed in his eyes.
"Gianna, there's actually something I've been wanting to tell you. I live next to your Villa..."
His words were interrupted by a phone call.
After finishing the call, Gianna looked at Jonah and said, "I have something to attend to now. Let's talk another day."
"Okay."
Watching Gianna hurriedly leave with her luggage, Jonah's eyes flickered with a hint of disappointment. He turned and walked into his nearby Villa.
Back at the Villa, Gianna opened her mailbox and started to process her work emails. By the time she finished, it was already past 7 PM.
She picked up her phone, intending to order takeout, when Laura called.
"Gianna, my movie has finished filming. I'm now at Dawnridge. Let's have supper together!"
Laura loved to eat something before bedtime, and she had a physique that wouldn't gain weight no matter how much she ate. Before she became famous, she used to have supper every night. But after gaining fame, her agent prohibited her from eating before bedtime, worried that she would gain weight and not look good on screen.
Since then, Laura developed a habit of rewarding herself with a supper after completing a movie or a TV drama.
"I haven't had dinner yet," Gianna replied.
"In that case, great! I haven't eaten either. I'll pick you up now, and we'll go to the most expensive restaurant in Dawnridge. My treat!"
Gianna couldn't help but smile. "It seems like this movie made a lot of money."
"Not that much, just a small goal of one tenth one-tenth!"
"Just a small goal?"
"Yes, send me the address, I'll come pick you up."
"Okay."
Ending the call, Gianna sent her location and got up to tidy up the living room.
Having been away for some time, the living room had accumulated some dust.
Just as she finished cleaning the table, the doorbell rang.
Gianna quickly opened the door and stepped aside, but Laura's attempt to hug her missed.
"Gianna, I never expected you to learn how to dodge. You have no idea how many people want to hug me."
Gianna raised an eyebrow. "Then you should go bless those who want to be hugged by you. I'm not fortunate enough to enjoy it."
"I'm angry!"
Seeing her pouting, Gianna couldn't help but laugh. "Don't make that expression with a poker face. The contrast is so strong."
Laura replied indignantly, "I originally wanted to play cute roles when I debuted, but my agent stopped me. You have no idea how hard I worked to maintain my image in front of the fans."
Her agent said that her cold and elegant face would attract many fans.
Later on, it turned out that her agent was right. What else could she do? She had to continue pretending.
"If your fans knew how you really are in daily life, I wonder if their opinions would change?"
"Maybe they would like me even more. After all, with this face of mine, everyone falls in love, and everything blooms."
Seeing her delighted expression, Gianna couldn't help but chuckle.
"What are you laughing at?! I'm telling the truth. Recently, there's even a man who's relentlessly pursuing me. He invested in 'Many Years' just to have a meal with me, but he's not the type I like. I prefer someone like Felix, a cold and dominant CEO!"
Gianna sprayed water out of her mouth.
Laura realized her mistake and quickly said, "Don't misunderstand, I'm. I'm not trying to steal Felix from you. I just like his type of man."
During dinner with Mitchell last time, Mitchell told her that Felix had married Gianna. She couldn't suppress her gossip-seeking nature and didn't ask Gianna about it.
Gianna wiped the table calmly and said, "I'm already divorced from him. If you like him, you can go after him."
Disbelief flashed in Laura's eyes.
She had just found out that her good friend had gotten married, and now she heard the news of their divorce in the next second.
Seeing her shocked expression, Gianna said, "Okay, let's not talk about this anymore. Let's go eat, I'm starving!"
After ordering the food at the restaurant, Laura reluctantly processed this fact.
