Chapter 61
Just as Gianna felt her strength draining away, her arm suddenly hurt. She saw the needle inserted into her arm, and her eyes turned cold. She reached out and pulled it out directly.
However, the medicine had already been injected into her body. She used up her last bit of strength to inject the remaining medicine into the other person's body, then collapsed weakly on the ground.
When Felix and the others arrived, all they saw was Gianna, covered in blood, lying on the ground.
His pupils suddenly contracted, and his voice was filled with hostility. "Arrest them all!"
Rhodes saw Gianna fall, and before he could even be happy about it, a group of men in suits suddenly appeared around him, quickly subduing all his subordinates.
When he saw the figure sitting in the wheelchair, a flash of fear appeared in his eyes. "Felix, how did you get here?!"
Without even glancing at him, Felix carefully held Gianna in his arms with the help of Sophia. "Call a doctor!"
Seeing the injuries on Gianna's body and the slap mark on her face, a raging anger surged in Felix's eyes. He looked at Rhodes coldly as if he were looking at a dead man. "Did you hit her?"
When faced with Felix's cold expression, Rhodes didn't dare to admit it and quickly shook his head. "No... it wasn't me..."
A cold smile appeared on Felix's lips. "I gave you a chance, but since you refuse to tell the truth, you won't be needing your tongue anymore."
As soon as he finished speaking, one of his subordinates walked up to Rhodes, grabbed his chin, and cut off his tongue.
Rhodes let out a scream, blood continuously flowing from his mouth. He couldn't utter a single word.
Fear filled his eyes as he quickly kneeled on the ground, begging for mercy, but Felix casually looked away. "What should we do with these people, Felix?"
"They must repay her pain twofold!"
"What about Rhodes?"
"Chop him up and feed him to the dogs!"
...
Gianna woke up again two days later. She found herself in a bedroom in the Villa and immediately realized that her sighting of Felix before losing consciousness was not an illusion; he had indeed saved her.
Gianna pursed her lips, feeling complicated emotions. She wanted to distance herself from Felix, but now she owed him her life.
Just as Gianna was feeling troubled, the bedroom door opened. Felix carried a bowl of soup and slowly wheeled himself closer to Gianna.
Suddenly seeing him, Gianna's heartbeat involuntarily sped up. She bit her lip and whispered, "Mr. Clinton, thank you for saving me."
Felix stopped by the bedside and handed her the soup. "Drink the soup first. Rhodes used a harmful medicine on you, causing your discomfort. You need to rest for a while."
"Thank you," she said.
She took the soup and slowly drank it, and neither of them spoke.
When Gianna finished the soup, Felix calmly said, "It's too dangerous for you to live alone. It would be better for you to move back."
Gianna remained silent for a few seconds, then looked up at Felix. "No need. This was an accident. And once we get divorced, I'll be living alone anyway."
Felix frowned, a hint of displeasure flashing in his eyes.
"Move back first, and we'll talk about it after the divorce."
He was firm in his attitude, not allowing Gianna to refuse.
Considering that he had just saved her and her current physical condition, making it inconvenient for her to cook, she nodded. "I'll stay here until I recover. Once I'm better, I'll move back."
Felix's eyes turned colder, but he didn't say anything, clearly disagreeing.
"Where is Rhodes now?"
"He's dead."
Surprised, Gianna looked at Felix. "Did you kill him?"
"No, he fell off a mountain while trying to escape. By the time his body was found, it had already been partially eaten by wild animals."
But even if he hadn't fallen, he wouldn't have let him continue to live!
Gianna nodded. "He had a partner, Aidan."
"After Rhodes died, Aidan turned himself in out of guilt."
Doubt flickered in Felix's eyes. "You were just an employee at MY FASHION. Why would Rhodes and Aidan have so much trouble capturing you?!"
Gianna pursed her lips and lowered her gaze. "It's because Aidan wanted to sign a contract with Rhodes before and asked me to approach Rhodes for the contract. But Rhodes tried to rape me, and I fought back. He held a grudge against me, so he conspired with Aidan to kidnap me."
However, Felix's suspicion didn't lessen. "If it was only because of that, couldn't Rhodes have just fired you from MY FASHION? And why did he need Aidan to abduct you?"
Gianna rubbed her temples, furrowing her brows. "Did you forget that I'm good friends with Faith? Even if Aidan wanted to fire me, Faith would disagree! As for Rhodes involving Aidan, he's just insane. How could I guess what he was thinking?"
Felix's eyes grew deeper, but he didn't ask any further.
"You rest, I'll go to the study to work. Call me if you need anything."
"Okay."
After Felix left, Gianna finally breathed a sigh of relief.
In the afternoon, Faith came to see Gianna.
She found that Gianna was recovering well, and Faith finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"I was so scared when I heard about your kidnapping! Luckily, you're okay; otherwise, I would have killed Aidan and Rhodes!"
Gianna smiled, "I am fine, don't worry."
"If it wasn't for Felix this time, you might have died."
Faith's eyes suddenly turned red, but she didn't continue.
"Okay, if you cry, I won't comfort you!"
Faith rolled her eyes and angrily said, "Who said I was going to cry!"
"All right, you're not crying. It's me."
Faith wiped her tears, took a document from her bag, and asked, "What will you do with this contract? If you give it to the police, it's enough to put Aidan in jail for a lifetime!"
Gianna remained silent for a few seconds and said, "I don't want people to know that I am the CEO of MY FASHION."
"You don't want Felix to know, right? Afraid he'll want a share of your assets?"
"If anyone should be afraid, he should be afraid of me taking his money. It's just because I'm about to get a divorce, and I don't want any complications."
Thinking of Felix, emotions suddenly surged in Gianna's heart, causing her to furrow her brow unconsciously.
After knowing that he had saved her, she could clearly feel that her determination to divorce had weakened.
But if she continued to be with him, she would become the pitiful Gianna from before, and she would not let that happen!
Faith stayed a while longer before leaving with the contract.
Gianna rested for a few days, and the police came to take her statement a few times.
When the police left for the last time, they looked at her and said, "Miss Redstone, Aidan wants to see you."
