Chapter 307
Gianna grinned and said, "Chill, last night was just a fluke."
If it wasn't for one of Natalie's old pals hearing about the car crash from someone else, Gianna and Felix would've kept it on the down-low.
Natalie shot back, "No way, I'm freakin' out when you're behind the wheel! What if something else goes down?"
"It won't, Natalie. Relax," Gianna reassured her.
Seeing she couldn't sway Gianna, Natalie turned to Felix, who'd been quiet the whole time, and snapped, "Don't you care about Gianna? Letting her drive solo is risky. Why aren't you saying anything?"
Felix sighed, "Grandma, Gianna's a grown-up. She can decide for herself."
Natalie glared at him and turned away, fuming.
Watching them, Gianna couldn't help but chuckle, "Grandma, don't be mad. Nothing's gonna happen. Last night was just a one-off. I can't crash every time I drive, right?"
Natalie finally caved, "Alright, but promise me you'll drive slower from now on."
Gianna nodded, "Got it, promise!"
After lunch with Natalie, they headed back to Elm Bay. As soon as they got into the villa, Gianna told Felix to ditch his suit.
He was all decked out in black today to keep Natalie from worrying about his injuries.
Sure enough, as soon as he stripped down, Gianna saw some of his bandaged wounds were bleeding again.
"I'll patch you up," Gianna said.
"Okay," Felix nodded.
Gianna expertly re-did his bandages. Once done, Felix put his clothes back on and casually asked, "When did you learn all this medical stuff?"
Gianna replied coolly, "Before I came back to the Redstone family, I studied medicine with Foster for a couple of years."
Seeing her calm demeanor, Felix wanted to dig deeper but held back.
If Gianna wanted to spill, she would. Pushing her now might mess things up between them.
Just as she finished cleaning up the used bandages, Gianna's phone buzzed.
Seeing it was Raymond, she frowned and picked up after a beat.
"Mr. Musk, what's up?" Gianna asked.
Felix, who was reading a document nearby, paused and looked at Gianna, his ears perking up.
Hearing Gianna's distant tone, Raymond felt a bit let down.
Raymond said, "Yeah, there's an issue with the contract between the Musk Group and MY FASHION. Are you free now? We need to talk it over in person."
Gianna pursed her lips, thinking it was best to shut down Raymond's hopes to avoid any future drama.
Gianna agreed, "Alright, send me the address. I'll be there soon."
After hanging up, she turned to find Felix staring at her. She frowned, "What's up? Do I have something on my face?"
Felix gritted his teeth and said, "You know exactly what I mean."
"What are you talking about?" Gianna asked.
"Why are you meeting Raymond outside of work hours? He's got ulterior motives!" Felix shot back.
Gianna couldn't help but laugh and decided not to mess with him, "I agreed because I planned to take you with me."
Felix was momentarily stunned, then snorted, "That's more like it."
"Then why aren't you changing clothes?" Gianna said.
Ten minutes later, seeing Felix not only changed into his best-fitting suit but also styled his hair, Gianna couldn't help but say, "Is this really necessary? You don't even dress up this much for our dates."
Felix nodded, "Hell yeah, it's necessary. I'm meeting the competition today."
Gianna rolled her eyes, "You're acting like a kid!"
When they got to the restaurant, Raymond was already there.
Seeing Gianna and Felix together, the smile on his face slowly faded, turning into a blank stare.
Clearly, he didn't know Gianna and Felix had patched things up.
After sitting down, Gianna said calmly, "Mr. Musk, what's the deal with the contract?"
Raymond frowned and said coldly, "Gianna, this contract affects both our companies. It's not cool to discuss it with others around, right?"
Gianna smiled slightly, "Mr. Musk, don't worry. If there's any issue with the contract, MY FASHION will handle it."
Hearing this, a cold glint flashed in Raymond's eyes. He pulled out the document and handed it to her, "I've marked the problem spots. Gianna, check it out. If it's all good, I'll have my secretary, Michael Jenkins, print it out, and we can sign it today."
"Alright, I'll take a look."
Gianna quickly reviewed the marked areas, then closed the contract and handed it back to Raymond, smiling, "I've checked it. There are some ambiguities. Mr. Musk, please have Michael reprint it, and we'll sign it."
Raymond nodded and immediately called Michael.
After giving instructions, he looked at Gianna and said, "It'll take Michael about an hour to get here. Want to order something? The pastries here are pretty good."
As soon as he finished speaking, Felix, who had been silent, snorted, "Raymond, Gianna is my girlfriend. If you keep eyeing her, I won't let it slide!"
Raymond finally looked at him, his expression cold, "I haven't settled the matter of you causing my grandfather to faint. Today, for Gianna's sake, I'll let it go."
On the way here, Gianna had told Felix to have a proper talk with Raymond. She stood up and said, "Mr. Musk, Felix, you two talk. I'll hit the restroom."
After Gianna left, the atmosphere between the two men turned icy.
Felix looked at Raymond coldly, "Raymond, you're my friend. I'll let the whole Gianna-pretending-to-be-your-girlfriend thing slide, but if you go after her again, we're done!"
Raymond sneered, "Gianna doesn't know you lied about being divorced and that the divorce certificate you gave her is fake, does she?"
"What are you getting at?" Felix's aura turned chilling, making one shiver.
Raymond chuckled, "Just a heads-up. You broke up with her before because you kept lying. If she finds out about this, she probably won't forgive you."
Felix's hand clenched into a fist on the table, veins bulging on his forehead, "If you dare spill a word of this, I won't spare the Musk Group."
Raymond smiled, "Relax. I won't say anything. But how long can you keep this secret, I don't know."
Felix didn't respond, his face growing colder.
When Gianna returned, she saw Felix with a cold expression and Raymond smiling while sipping coffee, ignoring each other. She knew the talk hadn't gone well.
Finally, when Michael arrived with the documents, Gianna signed them and quickly left with Felix, saying goodbye to Raymond.
Watching them leave, Raymond's smile was meaningful.
Gianna would be completely disappointed in Felix soon!
