Chapter 231
Ulysses grinned wickedly as he slowly approached Faith.
Faith wanted to run, but Ulysses' crew had her surrounded, no escape in sight.
Fear and regret filled her heart. If she'd known Ulysses was this nuts, she would've called the cops the moment she woke up.
She gritted her teeth, "Ulysses, don't forget, your dad's release depends on me!"
Ulysses sneered and slapped her hard.
"You think I believe you? I talked to the lawyer. My dad's stuck in prison for at least five years. You made him suffer, now it's your turn!"
He hit her so hard that Faith almost fell.
A guy behind her grabbed her waist, his fingers pinching her, "So soft!"
Faith, furious, pushed him away, "Don't touch me!"
"Feisty. I like it!"
He reached for her face, but Faith slapped his hand away.
Seeing the disgust in her eyes, the guy sneered.
"Strong personality now, huh? Let's see if it's the same in bed!"
Ulysses, cold and indifferent, said, "I've sold her to you guys. Do whatever you want, even if it kills her."
The men laughed, eyeing Faith like predators.
Faith's face went pale. She glared at Ulysses, "Ulysses, you're insane! Your dad still has 10% shares in MY FASHION. Touch me, and you get nothing!"
Ulysses sneered, "You think I'm stupid? I already sold my dad's shares. My mom and I are heading to the airport soon. You can wait to be played to death!"
He turned and left without looking back.
Panic surged in Faith. She tried to run but was grabbed by two men.
A sharp pain hit the back of her neck, and she blacked out.
In the MY FASHION CEO's office, Gianna was reviewing documents when Otis walked in with a file.
"Gianna, Mr. Walton's family sold his 10% shares."
Gianna frowned, "Which Mr. Walton?"
"Hayden."
A cold glint flashed in Gianna's eyes. She took the file, her face changing as she read it. She quickly called Faith, but no answer.
Gianna frowned. She'd told Faith to keep her phone on, and Faith had agreed. How could she not answer now?
After a moment, she messaged Dominic, asking if Faith had mentioned any plans after taking leave.
Dominic called immediately.
"Gianna, I'm out of town on business. She didn't tell me about taking leave. Why did Faith take leave?"
Gianna frowned, "Because of a shareholder's embezzlement. She called this morning to take leave and promised to stay reachable, but she's not answering now."
"Hold on. I have her phone's shared location. Let me check."
A few seconds later, Dominic's anxious voice came through.
"Gianna, Faith's still in Dawnridge, but her location's moving towards the outskirts. Even if she wanted to clear her mind, she wouldn't go there. I'm worried. Can you help find her?"
Gianna's expression changed. She stood up, "I'll check right away. Send me her real-time location."
"Thanks, Gianna," Dominic said.
Gianna hung up the phone and rushed to the elevator.
Soon, a car was speeding towards the outskirts.
Gianna and Dominic stayed in touch, but suddenly Dominic's panicked voice came through.
"Faith's phone location just disappeared!"
Gianna slammed on the brakes, "Send me her last known location. I'll check it out."
She hung up and called Felix.
"Felix, Faith's missing. Can you help find her?"
Felix, hearing the panic, replied, "I'll get someone on it right away. Don't worry, we'll find her."
"Thanks."
Gianna drove to the last known location of Faith's phone, an intersection with three forks. She took a deep breath, chose the left fork, and sped up.
Faith's disappearance quickly reached Uriah, who called Felix.
"Any news of Faith?"
Felix sounded grim, "She was taken by some men in a van heading out of the city. We're investigating."
"I'm on my way!"
Panicked, Uriah hung up the phone and told his secretary to send people to find Faith. He got up to join the search.
The secretary rushed in, "Uriah, you have a crucial meeting with Mr. Hayes at ten. It's vital for the Harris Group's future. You can't leave now..."
Uriah ignored him, pushed him aside, and left.
Meanwhile, at Tranquil Haven Estate, Felix watched surveillance footage and noticed one of the men seemed familiar with Faith.
He had James investigated, and soon got results.
"Felix, that man is Ulysses, Faith's second uncle Hayden's son. He booked a flight to the Country M at 10:30 this morning. The plane should be taking off now."
Felix's expression turned icy, "Stop him! If you can't, have someone in the Country M bring him back as soon as he lands!"
James hesitated, "Felix, if we act now, Thomas will notice. Our plan could be ruined."
Felix's eyes were cold, "Do as I say. I won't repeat myself."
"Yes, sir!"
At Dawnridge Airport, Ulysses sat on the plane, a smug smile on his face. Once in the Country M, no one could touch him.
The flight attendants were checking seat belts, reminding passengers the plane would take off in five minutes.
In five minutes, he'd be free.
But just as the plane was about to close its doors, a flight attendant hurried over.
"Dear passengers, we are very sorry, but this flight cannot take off due to unforeseen reasons. We've arranged another flight for you. Please disembark in an orderly manner. The airport broadcast will announce the new flight number shortly."
