Chapter 222

Felix kept calling, but the automated voice said the number was unreachable, then it switched to a message saying the phone was off.

Bella, nearby, was shaking with fear at his cold demeanor, keeping her head down and staying silent.

Feeling the growing chill from him, Bella stammered, "Felix, I didn't mean to. Your phone kept ringing, so I answered it, but they hung up without saying anything."

Felix shot her a cold look, his voice icy, "Get out!"

Bella, terrified, quickly left without another word.

Once the room was quiet, Felix's fingers turned pale as he gripped his phone, eyes filled with regret.

If he had taken his phone while showering, he wouldn't have missed that call.

He was sure it was Gianna who had called.

Thinking of this, his face showed pain and regret.

Earlier, Bella had approached him, offering to help Felix regain control of the Clinton Group in exchange for 5% of its shares, and Felix had agreed.

As they were leaving, a waiter accidentally spilled curry on Felix's shirt. Bella suggested he go upstairs to the hotel owned by the Redstone Group to shower.

Unable to stand the curry smell, Felix agreed and went to the hotel room to shower, forgetting his phone.

Unexpectedly, Bella answered his call without permission and only told him after he finished showering.

Thinking the call Bella answered might have been from Gianna, Felix was furious.

Hearing Bella's voice, Gianna would definitely misunderstand.

Felix called James and coldly said, "I'm sending you a number. Find its location immediately!"

Soon, James replied.

James said, "Felix, that number is registered in Country D."

Felix instructed, "Send someone to Country D immediately to check if Gianna is there!"

Half a month later.

James reported, "Felix, we've found Gianna's exact location, but..."

Felix's calm expression turned excited, and asked, "Where is she now?"

James informed, "For the past half month, Gianna has been staying at Raymond's villa in Country D."

Hearing this, Felix's eyes turned icy, and ordered, "Book the earliest flight to Country D."

Several hours later, Felix appeared with a cold expression in front of Raymond's villa in Country D.

The villa's gate was an iron gate with a floral design, showing a clear view of the garden.

Seeing the scene in the pavilion, Felix's eyes instantly turned sinister.

In the pavilion.

Raymond held a cup of medicine, smiling, and said, "The doctor said you'll recover faster if you drink this. I made it myself. For my effort, just take a sip."

Half a month ago, Gianna thought she was doomed, and the pain in her body made her lose consciousness.

When she woke up, she found herself in Raymond's villa and realized he had saved her.

According to Raymond, when he found her, the seawater had already reached her neck. If he had been a minute later, she would have sunk into the sea with the cruise ship.

Gianna was very grateful to him, and because she was seriously injured, she had to stay there to recover.

For the past half month, Raymond had taken meticulous care of her. She sensed his feelings for her, but since he didn't say anything, she pretended not to notice because she knew she couldn't reciprocate.

She had given her heart to Felix, only to have it shattered, leaving her unable to love anyone else.

Gianna smiled as she took the medicine from Raymond, and said, "Okay."

She drank it in one gulp, the bitterness making her face scrunch up.

Raymond handed her a dessert, catching her off guard. For the past month, he had kept his distance, and this sudden gesture left her stunned.

Before she could refuse, a cold voice came from outside the gate.

Felix shouted angrily, "Raymond, is this how you help me find Gianna?"

Hearing Felix's voice, both of them froze.

Gianna's hand clenched on the table, and after a few seconds, she slowly looked up at the gate.

Felix's face was tense, eyes stormy with anger. His presence was suffocating.

Raymond quickly had the servant open the gate.

Felix walked towards them, his sharp aura enveloping them as he approached.

Standing beside them, Felix looked at Raymond and said slowly, "Don't you think you owe me an explanation?"

Raymond took a deep breath, about to speak, but Gianna interrupted.

Gianna remarked, "Felix, Raymond and I are not married. There's nothing to explain. What you see is the truth."

Felix turned to Gianna, his eyes cold, the chill almost freezing.

Felix said, "After you and Natalie disappeared, I've been looking for you. And now I find out you've been here for half a month. Do you know how I felt?"

Gianna chuckled lightly, and replied, "Natalie is safe. She should return to Dawnridge in half a month. As for me, I'm doing well. Felix, you don't need to look for me anymore."

Felix frowned and reached out to grab Gianna, but she avoided him.

Sensing her resistance, Felix suppressed his anger and calmly said, "Gianna, whatever it is, we can resolve it back in Dawnridge."

Gianna was silent for a few seconds, then looked up at Felix.

She wanted to ask him how he could act so well. When she was missing, he was with Bella, and now he was acting so affectionate in front of her.

Gianna asked, "Felix, aren't you tired?"

Felix was shocked, and questioned, "What do you mean?"

Gianna replied, "You clearly don't like me that much, yet you pretend to be deeply in love. Aren't you tired?"

Felix's expression changed, his eyes turning cold, and replied, "Did something happen during this time? If there's a misunderstanding, you can..."

Before he could finish, Gianna coldly interrupted him.

Gianna stated calmly, "No misunderstanding. Half a month ago, I called you, and Bella answered. She said you were showering. In what situation can a woman answer a man's phone while he's showering?"

Felix frowned, and said, "I can explain that."

Gianna's expression was indifferent, and insisted, "No need to explain. I don't care anymore. I was going to talk to you about this when I returned to the country. Since you're here today, let's finish this conversation now."

Felix tried to explain, "It's not what you think. We were having dinner, and a waiter spilled something on my clothes. The hotel upstairs is owned by the Redstone Group, so I went to shower and forgot my phone."

Expressionless, Gianna listened to him finish, then looked up at him and said slowly, "Felix, how can there be so many coincidences? Do you take me for a fool?"

A cold glint flashed in Felix's eyes, and said seriously, "If you don't believe me, you can go back and check it out."

Gianna replied, "No need. Let's break up!"
