Chapter 112
"Stay and take care of me!"
Gianna frowned, turned around, and looked at him coldly. "Felix, I have my own things to do when I go back. Please let me go!"
"What things? Are you discussing with Eugene how to provoke me?!"
Sophia, on the side, quickly added, "Miss Redstone, why don't you stay here to help take care of Felix in case he gets a fever again at night?"
Gianna turned to look at Sophia and said indifferently, "Aren't you his secretary? I think it's more appropriate for you to take care of him here."
Sophia choked up and didn't say anything more.
Felix's eyes turned cold. He released Gianna's hand and said, "You can go now."
Gianna didn't say anything, either. She turned around and left.
Felix stared at her back until her figure disappeared behind the bedroom door.
Sensing the temperature in the entire bedroom dropping rapidly, Sophia hurriedly said, "Felix, I'll be in the living room. Just call me if you need anything."
"No need, you can go."
"But what about you here?"
"I'm fine."
Sophia nodded. "Okay, call me anytime if you need anything."
"Okay."
After Sophia left, Felix looked down at his bandaged arm and couldn't help but chuckle.
'She just left without hesitation. She's really ruthless!' he thought.
After leaving Felix's villa, Gianna called a taxi back to Elm Bay.
When she got home, Laura, who left a wall lamp on for her in the living room, was already asleep.
She sat down on the sofa and stared blankly at the patterns on the carpet.
She didn't expect that Felix would instantly recognize that her relationship with Eugene was fake.
And his subsequent actions left her even more puzzled.
Perhaps it was because she suddenly stopped liking him that he couldn't accept it.
Either way, it couldn't be that he liked her.
And even if he did like her, she couldn't turn back. Her feelings for Felix have been drained in countless disappointments.
Worrying about his fever today was just because she didn't want him to get into trouble because of her.
Realizing this, Gianna felt much better and went upstairs to take a shower and sleep..
The next day, Gianna met Eugene and apologized for what happened yesterday.
"Mr. Walton, I'm sorry about last night."
Eugene smiled softly and said, "Miss Redstone, there's no need to apologize. If you ever need my help in the future, just let me know."
Gianna shook her head. "I think we won't need it anymore. Felix has already figured out that we were fake, so there's not much point in continuing the act."
"Hasn't Miss Redstone ever thought about turning the fake into reality?"
Facing Eugene's serious expression, Gianna was stunned.
"What do you mean?"
"Miss Redstone, it was actually me who asked Faith to introduce me to you because I really like you."
As soon as the words fell, Gianna hurriedly said, "Mr. Walton, are you joking?"
She was shocked. She had made it clear to Eugene from the beginning that she just wanted someone to help with the act; and Eugene had agreed, so why did he suddenly change his mind?
"I'm not joking. I've liked you since the first time I saw you."
Gianna's eyes widened involuntarily. "The day before yesterday?"
Eugene shook his head. "No, we first met four years ago. Faith used to work at MY FASHION; and one day, when I came to pick her up after work, I met you in the elevator. That's when I fell in love with you at first sight."
After a long silence, Gianna finally spoke, “Mr. Walton, thank you very much for your affection, but I am not considering matters of love at the moment.”
Eugene nodded. "I know. I can wait for you until the day you decide to start a new relationship."
Gianna pursed her lips and decided to be clearer with her words.
"Mr. Walton, I hope you don't wait for me because I also don't know if I will have the desire to start a new relationship in the future. You deserve someone better. Anyway, thank you for your help these days. So, was it a lie when you mentioned wanting to enter the fashion industry before?"
Eugene looked surprised as she still remembered that detail.
"No, that was true; and my interest in pursuing you is also genuine."
"If there's anything you need my help with in the fashion industry in the future, I'll definitely do my best to assist, Mr. Walton. But when it comes to feelings, I'm sorry I can't reciprocate."
A look of disappointment appeared on Eugene's face, and he gave a bitter smile, saying, "Actually, I knew from the beginning that you would reject me, but I still wanted to give it a try. Since you truly don't like me, I won't persist."
Upon hearing this, Gianna felt a sense of relief. She had no intention of developing relationships with Eugene, partly because Eugene was Faith's cousin. If they were to start a relationship and later break up, things could become awkward with Faith.
"Mr. Walton, thank you. You are truly a good person and will definitely meet someone better."
"Am I being rejected?"
Gianna hurriedly explained, "No, I genuinely praise you from the bottom of my heart!"
Eugene looked at Gianna and asked softly, "Could you call me Eugene one more time?"
"Eugene."
"Thank you."
Upon returning to MY FASHION, Gianna immediately called Faith into her office.
"Faith, shouldn't you explain to me about Eugene?"
A flash of surprise appeared in Faith's eyes, and she said, "Did Eugene confess to you?"
"Sort of."
"He always felt he wasn't good enough for you. I didn't expect him to muster the courage to confess!"
Seeing the excitement in Faith's eyes, Gianna coolly stated, "I have already rejected him."
Faith showed no surprise in her eyes. "I told him from the beginning that you're not into his type, but he still wanted to give it a try."
Gianna glared at her. "If you dare to do something like this again, I'll deduct your year-end bonus!"
Faith quickly tugged at her sleeve. "Please don't. I've been saving the bonus to buy something. If you deduct it, you will be rather ruthless."
Gianna chuckled. "You have a way with words."
"Anyway, you couldn't deduct my money."
"As long as you behave yourself, I won't deduct it."
"Alright. Don't introduce anyone to me randomly again in the future!"
"Got it!"
After Faith left, Gianna called Otis and Zoey in.
"You two, pack your things and get ready to go on a business trip with me tomorrow. This trip will probably last about a week."
After Otis and Zoey left, Gianna picked up the documents and continued reading.
Meanwhile, Zoey found a secluded spot and made a phone call.
"Hello, Gianna asked me to go on a business trip with her tomorrow."
Zoey nodded. "Alright, I understand."
The next morning, Gianna set off on the business trip with Otis and Zoey.
Felix, busy with work, forgot to take his medication. Sophia called Gianna to ask her to help Felix with it, but Gianna's phone was switched off.
She informed Felix about this, and he immediately said, "Find out where she is now!"
