Chapter 84
Bella bit her lip, her eyes filled with grievances.
Ximena frowned and looked at Felix, saying, "Felix, don't just pay attention to Gianna. Take Belle to Harmony Garden as well."
Felix glanced at Ximena indifferently and replied, "I'm busy. You can have the housekeeper take her around."
"You grew up with Belle. It's too much to let the housekeeper deal with her," Ximena said, her eyes flashing with coldness.
Just as Felix was about to speak, Natalie interrupted, "Enough, let's not argue. It's my birthday today. Do you want the guests to witness a fight?"
Ximena's face stiffened, feeling somewhat displeased.
Bella quickly spoke up, "Ximena, Natalie, don't argue because of me. I have a friend who has also come. I'll go find her and chat. We can go to Harmony Garden another time."
Ximena forced a smile and nodded, "Belle, go ahead. There are desserts today that you like. You haven't had dinner, so remember to eat something."
"Okay."
After Bella left, the smile on Ximena's face faded.
"Felix, stay after your grandmother's birthday banquet. My father and I have something to discuss with you and your father."
Felix nodded, "I understand."
Meanwhile, Bella found Jasmine and the two of them found a quiet place to chat.
"Belle, you should focus on Felix. Trying to please his mother every day is completely useless," Jasmine said, shaking her head.
Bella smiled, a calculating look flashing in her eyes.
"Who says it's useless?"
Jasmine helplessly shook her head and did not continue with the topic.
"By the way, my father invested in a film recently and I got a supporting role."
Bella had no interest in this, but still pretended to be delighted, "Really?! So does this mean you can enter the entertainment industry?!"
"Of course. I will definitely become a dazzling star in the future and trample those who looked down on me under my feet!"
"So you really broke up with Uriah?" Bella asked.
A cold expression crossed Jasmine's face momentarily as she replied, "He's just a man. Since he no longer likes me, I won't cling to him. There are plenty of men out there."
Bella raised an eyebrow and whispered, "But I heard that he's currently trying to pursue Faith again. Are you willing to lose to Faith?!"
After a few seconds of silence, Jasmine sneered, "Of course I'm not willing. That's why I won't let them be together!"
Bella was about to ask Jasmine about her plans when Jasmine's phone suddenly rang. After finishing her call, she turned to Bella and said, "Belle, something came up at home. I have to go back. Let's reschedule for another day!"
"Alright."
As Bella watched Jasmine leave, her gaze turned cold.
At 8 o'clock in the evening, when Natalie was about to cut the cake, a tall figure walked into the living room.
"Grandma, couldn't you wait for me to come back before cutting the cake?"
Natalie was stunned and looked at the figure approaching her with surprise and disbelief in her eyes.
"Thomas, you're back?!"
Thomas walked up to Natalie, his face filled with a warm smile. "Yes, Grandma, I'm back."
Natalie's eyes instantly turned red, and she nodded. "It's good that you're back, it's good."
When the guests saw Thomas Clinton, they were shocked. After all, he had disappeared from everyone's sight for five or six years.
Since his parents died in a car accident, and he left a letter for Natalie, no one knew where he had gone.
Natalie pulled him to sit beside her, and after her emotions calmed down, she looked at him and asked, "Where have you been these past few years?"
Thomas smiled and said, "Grandma, today is your birthday. I'll slowly tell you all about it later. Let's cut the cake first."
"Alright, I'll listen to you."
The housekeeper pushed forward an eight-tiered cake, and after the guests sang happy birthday to Natalie, she symbolically cut the cake and then pulled Thomas aside to talk.
Gianna looked puzzled. She had never heard of Natalie having another grandson before.
"Mr. Clinton, what is the relationship between this man and you?"
Felix's expression turned cold. "He's my uncle's son, my cousin."
Gianna furrowed her brows. "How come I don't know you have an uncle?"
"Before you returned to the Redstone family, my uncle and aunt had already died in a car accident. Shortly after, Thomas left Dawnridge after leaving a letter, so it's normal that you wouldn't know."
After all, he hadn't expected that Thomas would come back.
"Understood."
Gianna didn't continue to ask. After all, Felix seemed to have a normal relationship with this cousin.
Late in the night, after the guests had left, Natalie called Gianna and Felix over.
"Thomas, this is your cousin Felix and his wife Gianna."
Thomas's gaze fell on the wheelchair Felix was sitting in, and a strange light flashed in his eyes. "Felix, what's wrong with your legs?"
Felix looked indifferent and replied, "I had an accident recently and became disabled."
Thomas fell silent for a few seconds before speaking again. "Don't worry, with the advancements in medical technology nowadays, you will definitely be able to recover."
After saying that, he looked at Gianna and smiled gently. "Hello, little sister."
"Hello," Gianna replied.
For some reason, being in close proximity with Thomas made Gianna feel uncomfortable, but she couldn't explain where this feeling came from.
Natalie smiled and said, "Thomas, you just arrived and must be tired. You should go rest first. I have someone regularly clean the Villa where your parents used to live, so you can go directly there to stay."
Upon mentioning Thomas's parents, Natalie's eyes welled up with tears again.
Thomas squatted in front of her and said with a smile, "Grandma, I'll go back first then. Tomorrow, I'll visit my parents' grave and come see you afterward."
"Alright."
