Chapter 219

After Zachary left, he didn't catch up with Raymond until evening.

Zachary reported, "Raymond, my team lost track of Gianna. She went off the grid as soon as she got to Country D."

Raymond looked serious, and instructed, "Send someone to the airport to keep an eye out. Let me know if she shows up."

Zachary nodded, replying, "Got it, I'll get on it."

After giving his team instructions, Zachary turned to Raymond.

Zachary invited, "Raymond, a wealthy businessman in Country D is throwing a yacht party tomorrow night and invited me. Want to come? I plan to network with some folks for future collaborations."

Raymond thought for a moment. He agreed, "Sure, I'll join you."

Meanwhile, at Dawnridge Tranquil Haven Estate.

Mitchell and Felix sat on the sofa, both looking tense.

Mitchell remarked worriedly, "Felix, that ex-employee from the Clinton Group gave damaging testimony against you. If he doesn't change his story, you might get detained again."

Felix's expression was cold, a sharp glint in his eyes.

Felix asked impatiently, "Still no word from Raymond?"

Mitchell replied seriously, "No, but your lawsuit is the priority. Thomas has taken over the Clinton Group. If you don't handle this, forget about getting the company back."

Felix frowned, and said, "The employee accusing me of embezzlement was Thomas's secretary. Now that Thomas controls the Clinton Group, he could easily fake evidence."

Mitchell's face darkened, saying, "So he can send you to prison whenever he wants?"

Felix sneered, "I won't let that happen."

Mitchell asked, "James got fired by Thomas. The shareholders are just opportunists. Who's going to help you?"

Felix was about to respond when the doorbell rang.

Seeing Bella outside, he frowned, asking, "What are you doing here?"

Bella didn't say a word, just handed him a USB drive and left.

Mitchell, watching her leave, looked puzzled, and said, "I heard Bella's been living with Thomas. What's she up to?"

Felix suggested, "Let's see what's on this USB drive."

Felix plugged it into the computer. There was only one video file.

The video showed a conversation between Thomas and his secretary, Ryan Evans. The angle suggested it was secretly filmed.

Thomas had a smug smile as he spoke, "Ryan, you did well. Once Felix is in prison, I'll reward you. What do you want?"

Ryan, head slightly bowed, replied, "Thomas, I just want to work by your side."

Thomas nodded in approval, and said, "Alright, once the Clinton Group stabilizes, you'll be my secretary again."

Ryan said appreciatively, "Thank you, Thomas!"

Thomas instructed, "I have some documents. Review them. Next time the police ask for your statement, tell them some new things."

Ryan replied, "Okay."

After Ryan left with the documents, the video ended.

Mitchell's expression turned icy, and said, "I'll get someone to arrest Ryan first. We'll make him talk!"

Felix stopped Mitchell, advising, "No need. Just keep an eye on him so he doesn't run. I want to see what else Thomas has planned."

Mitchell, seeing Felix's calm demeanor, reluctantly agreed.

Mitchell remarked, "By the way, Bella still seems to have feelings for you. Lucky you!"

Felix shot him a cold look, and retorted, "I have nothing to do with her anymore, and I never will."

Mitchell mentioned tactlessly, "You really love Gianna, huh? When you married her, we all thought it was because she looked like Bella. Didn't expect you to actually fall for her."

Felix frowned, and clarified, "I didn't marry her because she looked like Bella."

Back then, his leg was crippled, and he didn't care who he married. But over the year they spent together, Gianna won his heart. It wasn't until she asked for a divorce that he realized how much she meant to him.

Mitchell replied, "Alright, I get it. I have things to do at the company. Talk to you later."

After Mitchell left, Felix took out his phone and checked the call log. There was a number that had called him several times, but he hadn't answered.

He had a feeling it was Gianna.

But he was detained at the time, and his phone wasn't with him. By the time he got it back and called the number, no one answered.

Felix opened his photo album, which had only one photo. It was a side profile of Gianna sleeping on a desk.

He found it cute at the time and took a picture.

While he was lost in thought, his phone suddenly rang.

James reported, "Felix, I found out Gianna left Willow Creek yesterday, but her name isn't on the airport's passenger list, and the surveillance cameras were down."

Felix's gaze turned icy, asking doubtfully, "All the cameras were down?"

James explained, "Yes, during the time Gianna left, there was maintenance work, and the cameras were accidentally damaged. After they were fixed, there was no sign of her."

Felix's grip on his phone tightened, and commanded, "Keep investigating. We need to find out where she went!"

James replied, "Yes, sir!"

After hanging up, Felix was about to head to his bedroom when Ximena and Connor arrived.

They had been traveling abroad and just returned to hear the news; Natalie in a coma, Felix detained, and Thomas taking over the Clinton Group.

One shock after another left them in disbelief. Even now, Ximena still felt it was unreal.

Seeing Felix, she quickly grabbed his hand. She asked worriedly, "Felix, what's going on? Where's Natalie? Why are there rumors you embezzled funds and evaded taxes?"

Felix's expression was indifferent, and assured her, "Ximena, don't worry. I'm fine."

Ximena chided, "I heard you were detained and just released today. How can we not worry?"

Felix insisted, "I'm really fine. You and Connor just got back. Go home and rest. We'll talk tomorrow."

Ximena's eyes were filled with anger, and scolded, "Do you think we can sleep without knowing everything?"

After a moment of silence, Felix explained what had happened recently.

After hearing it, Ximena stood up abruptly, her face full of disbelief, and said, "You said Gianna disappeared with Natalie? So you don't even know if Natalie is alive or dead?"
