Chapter 262

Thomas's face went dark, and just as he was about to say something, the backseat car door got yanked open. Before he could even react, he was dragged out of the car.

"You guys..."

He barely got those words out when a sharp pain hit his back, and he blacked out.

The two dudes didn't stick around; they grabbed the safe from the car and took off on a motorcycle.

By the time the driver thought to call the cops, the attackers were long gone.

Thomas woke up to a bucket of cold water in his face. He snapped his eyes open and saw Mr. Moore standing there, a look of terror flashing in his eyes.

"Mr. Moore," Thomas muttered.

Mr. Moore stared at him coldly, like he was looking at a dead man.

"Where's the key?" Mr. Moore demanded.

Thomas's heart sank, and he quickly explained, "I don't know. I was in a car accident on my way to deliver the key, and then I got knocked out. I don't know anything else."

"You're useless!" Mr. Moore shouted.

Mr. Moore's eyes were blazing with anger. If he'd known Thomas was this useless, he would've sent someone else to get the key.

Meanwhile, a subordinate cautiously approached and said, "Mr. Moore, the two people who stole the key ditched their vehicle in an area without surveillance and escaped. We haven't found them yet."

Hearing this, Mr. Moore's aura turned icy, making him look terrifying.

"Keep looking. We must get the key back!"

"Yes, sir! What about Thomas?"

Hearing his name, Thomas couldn't help but shiver and quickly begged for mercy, "Mr. Moore, I really didn't mean to. Let me go back, and I'll help find the key. I promise I won't mess up again!"

Mr. Moore gave him a cold glance and said, "From the time you knew where the key was to when you got it, it was less than two hours. No one else could have known so quickly. You have a mole."

Sensing Mr. Moore's increasingly cold gaze, Thomas hurriedly said, "Mr. Moore, give me another chance. I'll find the mole as soon as possible!"

"One week. If you don't find out who the mole is, I'll make you wish you were dead!"

With that, Mr. Moore turned and left.

It wasn't until he was alone that Thomas finally relaxed.

He gritted his teeth. When he caught the person who stole the key, he would make them wish they were dead!

On the other side, when Felix and his crew stormed into Thomas's villa, Ximena was pale, looking terrified, with a coat from Bella draped over her, looking extremely disheveled.

After learning about Ximena's ordeal, Felix stood at the basement door, his fists clenched, eyes filled with murderous intent.

Bella, standing a few steps away, cautiously spoke, "Felix, after Thomas left, I sent someone to stop him. Ximena was just scared and didn't suffer any substantial harm."

Bella had a few maids take Ximena and Natalie to the hospital. Seeing that Felix had no intention of leaving, she quickly returned to her bedroom, locked the door, and didn't dare come out.

Felix's aura was terrifying, and his gaze was so cold that it seemed to freeze people. She found him very scary and didn't dare approach him.

In the living room downstairs, Felix's crew had already captured the two men who had tried to kill Ximena and locked them in the basement.

"Mr. Clinton, what should we do with those two?"

Felix's expression was cold as he said, "Leave them barely alive."

"Understood."

Felix stayed in Thomas's villa until evening. The moment Thomas walked in, his face turned extremely ugly.

"Felix, what are you doing here?"

Felix looked up at him, and in that glance, Thomas saw murderous intent. He trembled and instinctively turned to run.

However, he hadn't run far before Felix's crew caught him and brought him back.

Facing Felix's cold, deep eyes, Thomas felt his scalp tingle and fear rise in his heart.

"Felix, you..."

Before he could finish, Felix stabbed him right where it hurt the most.

"Ah!" Thomas's scream echoed through the villa. His body curled up in pain, wishing he could just die on the spot.

But the humiliation was even worse than the pain.

"Felix, I'll kill you!" Thomas shouted.

He fought through the pain and lunged at Felix, only to get kicked away, landing hard on the ground. The pain almost knocked him out.

Felix sat on the sofa, looking down at him like he was an ant.

"Give those two guys in the basement some strong drugs and throw him in there."

Thomas spat out a mouthful of blood, glaring at Felix with bloodshot eyes, "You wouldn't dare!"

Felix's expression was ice-cold. "Take him in."

He hadn't completely destroyed Thomas before because of family ties. But now, for someone so inhumane, he wouldn't show any mercy.

"Let me go! I don't want to! Felix, I'll kill you!"

Soon, Thomas was thrown into the basement, and the door was locked.

"Mr. Clinton, what should we do next?"

"Have a doctor on standby. Don't let him die."

Felix was about to leave when Bella spoke in a slightly fearful voice from the second-floor staircase, "Felix, I need your help with something."

"What is it?" Felix asked.

If Bella hadn't messaged him, he wouldn't have found Ximena so quickly. Felix knew he owed Bella a favor this time.

"I want to abort my baby, but I'm scared to go alone. Can you come with me?"

After what Thomas had done and with the evidence of his crimes she had recorded, Felix would never let him go. Now was the best time to abort his child!

After a few seconds of silence, Felix said, "Okay."

Gianna quickly found out that Felix accompanied Bella to the hospital.

Faith was furious, "Gianna, what is Felix doing? You called him several times, and he didn't answer, but he was photographed by reporters going to the OB-GYN with Bella. The baby isn't even his!"

Gianna pressed her lips together and forced a smile, "He has his reasons. I'll talk to him tonight."

Faith wanted to complain more but held back when she saw Gianna's unhappy expression.

She took a deep breath and handed Gianna a document.

"This is a contract that you need to sign. See if there are any issues."

After signing, Faith took the contract and left.

Once Gianna was alone in the office, she took out her phone and sent Felix a message: [Reporters photographed you at the OB-GYN with Bella. What's going on? Why didn't you answer my calls?]

After sending the message, there was no reply, and Gianna's heart sank.

It wasn't until after 9 p.m. that Felix replied: [I was busy today. I'll explain when I get home.]

Gianna sat in her office, staring at the message for a long time. She lowered her eyes and sighed softly until the screen dimmed.

At that moment, in the hospital.

Bella was crying bitterly. The doctor had just told her that her uterine wall was too thin. If she forcibly aborted the baby, she might never be able to conceive again, and there was a high risk of severe bleeding during the procedure, which could be fatal.

"Felix, is giving birth to this child my only option?"

Just thinking about carrying Thomas's child made her feel nauseous.

Felix's eyes were cold as he said expressionlessly, "The doctor has explained the risks. It's up to you."

Bella clutched the report tightly. After a long while, she finally made up her mind.

"I've decided to keep the child, but the child has nothing to do with Thomas or the Clinton family."

Felix's expression remained indifferent, "Alright."

Bella wiped her tears and was about to put away the report when James hurriedly approached, his expression serious.

"Mr. Clinton, Mrs. Ximena Clinton has run to the rooftop and is about to jump!"
