Chapter 336

Gianna shot him a frosty glare, spitting out each word, "I really can't stand you."

Thomas's face twisted for a second, but then he laughed it off. "And why's that? If those merc buddies of yours knew you were head over heels for some guy, they'd be rolling on the floor laughing!"

Gianna snapped back, "You think I give a damn?"

Thomas smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Of course you don't. So, how about I let you watch Felix save Bella again later?"

Gianna's eyes blazed with fury. "Thomas, you're a sicko!"

"Take it as a compliment. I'm gonna go get the gasoline. When Felix saves Bella, I'll send you off to meet your maker," Thomas said.

Once Thomas left, Gianna's tough exterior crumbled into pain.

Thinking about Felix's coldness towards her, the love in her heart started to wither away.

Soon enough, Thomas and his goons were dousing the place with gasoline, the stench filling her nostrils. She figured this might really be the end.

Thomas said, "Iris, I didn't want to kill you, but someone's got a hit out on you. I'm just following orders."

Gianna glared at him. "You lunatic!"

Thomas chuckled. "Don't worry. After you're gone, I'll bury you. Consider it a final favor from an old friend."

Gianna scoffed, "No thanks. You just make me puke!"

Thomas didn't get mad. He just looked at her and said, "I've got other stuff to do, so I won't stick around to watch you burn. That'd be too nasty."

Gianna thought Thomas would light her up right away, but she waited until nightfall, and nothing happened.

As time dragged on, the Dreamwell Capsules in her system kicked in, bringing a pain more intense than ever. Even tied up, she broke out in a cold sweat.

That hour felt like an eternity. The pain made her groan, wishing for a quick death.

The pain was unbearable, like someone smashing each bone to bits and then piecing them back together. "Worse than death" nailed it.

Gianna bit her lip until she tasted blood, realizing she'd bitten through it, but the pain didn't even register.

The agony from the Dreamwell Capsules felt like it was seeping into her bones, making her suffer like hell.

Finally, the door creaked open.

Thomas walked in and saw her drenched in cold sweat, surprise flickering in his eyes. "What's wrong with you?"

Gianna was in so much pain she was losing her mind. She gritted her teeth and said, "If you're gonna kill me, just do it already!"

Thomas chuckled and shoved his phone in her face, grinning. "Why would I kill you? Check out this video. Felix already took Bella away. He didn't even say he'd come back for you. He probably thinks you're dead. How pathetic."

The phone screen showed Felix carrying Bella into an ambulance and driving off.

As Gianna watched, tears streamed down her face.

She thought the pain from the Dreamwell Capsules was unbearable, but it just got worse.

Seeing her tears, Thomas felt a twisted sense of satisfaction.

Back in the day, when they were on missions together, Gianna always nailed the toughest jobs.

Thomas had been green with envy ever since.

Now, watching her hit rock bottom, the feeling was something else.

Thomas sneered, "Iris, even you can be this pathetic, huh?"

Gianna bit down hard on her lip, glaring at Thomas, and spat out, "Thomas, what did I ever do to you to deserve this torture?"

Thomas grinned like the devil himself. "You can ask that question in hell."

With that, he flicked open a lighter, lit it, and tossed it to the ground.

Smoke started to fill the factory, and the fire spread fast.

"Goodbye, Iris!" Thomas said, walking away.

Meanwhile, at the hospital.

Bella had just come to when a big hand clamped around her neck.

Felix demanded, "Where's Gianna now?"

Facing Felix's icy, sinister eyes, Bella felt a chill run down her spine.

Bella stammered, "Felix, what are you talking about? I don't know."

Felix chuckled, but it was a cold, creepy sound. "Bella, do you really not know, or are you just playing dumb?"

Bella shook her head, terrified. "I swear, I don't know. Felix, I don't even know how I ended up tied up in that place."

Felix's voice turned colder. "Then you can die with her!"

Seeing the murderous glint in his eyes and feeling his grip tighten, Bella panicked. Felix really meant to kill her! But she couldn't admit anything, or she'd be worse off than dead!

As her vision started to blur, Bella's grip on Felix's sleeve weakened, and her face turned a sickly blue and purple.

Just when Bella thought it was the end, Felix suddenly let go.

Air rushed into her lungs, causing a stabbing pain, and Bella couldn't help but cough violently.

Felix looked down at her, pulling out a handkerchief to wipe his hands. "If I find out you had anything to do with this, you'll wish you were never born!"

Bella couldn't say a word, just shook her head in terror.

As Felix was about to leave, James burst into the room. "Mr. Clinton, we have news on Miss Redstone!"

Felix asked urgently, "Where?"

Seeing the hope in his eyes, James hesitated.

Felix's heart sank, and he demanded, "Where is she?"

James took a deep breath and said with a trembling voice, "Miss Redstone is in an abandoned chemical plant ten miles away. When we got there, the place was on fire. Miss Redstone... she was burned to death!"

Felix's body shook violently.

"No! That's impossible!" Felix shouted.

He stormed out, his steps frantic.

James knew Felix wouldn't believe Gianna was dead until he saw it with his own eyes. But thinking of Gianna burned beyond recognition, he couldn't imagine how Felix would react.

James said, "Mr. Clinton, let me take you there!"

On the way to the scene, Felix stayed silent, his face cold, but his hands on his knees trembled slightly.

A voice in his head kept telling him not to believe it. Gianna couldn't be dead. She was skilled and smart. Even if Thomas caught her, she'd find a way out.

With this hope, he arrived at the scene. Seeing the charred body, his steps faltered, and he dared not move forward.

Felix said in disbelief, "James, that's not her. Get it out of here immediately!"
