Chapter 151 The Difference Between People is Really Big

Margaret thought he was such a hypocrite. They already had this deep-seated hatred, and he originally wanted to torture her to death, yet here he was, acting all caring and affectionate.

But Margaret didn't bother arguing with him; she just sneered, shook her head, and pulled the thin blanket over herself.

She closed her eyes, pretending to sleep.

Of course, Raymond knew she was faking it to avoid talking to him.

He didn't call her out or take it personally. Maybe it was because she was pregnant, she was getting more temperamental and sharp-tongued.

Sarah, sitting in the back seat, had no clue what they were talking about. She only knew that they seemed really close.

Raymond let Margaret lean on his shoulder.

Sarah was fuming, jealousy twisting her face. She'd been by Raymond's side for years and hadn't even touched his fingers, yet Margaret got to sleep on his shoulder?

Three hours later, the plane touched down at Silverwood Airport.

Margaret had finally fallen asleep, so Raymond didn't wake her. Instead, he took off his dark suit jacket, draped it over her, and carefully carried her off the plane.

He had originally booked a hotel they stayed at years ago, but since Margaret was still asleep and that hotel was too far from the airport, he found a nearby one instead.

He booked a presidential suite.

What he didn't know was that Sarah had secretly followed them and checked into the same hotel.

In the presidential suite, Raymond had just placed Margaret on the bed when his phone suddenly rang.

He frowned, glanced at the sleeping Margaret, and then took out his phone.

Seeing the caller ID, he hung up. Immediately after, he got a message from Sarah.

Sarah: [Raymond, I need to talk to you.]

He didn't reply.

After a while, Sarah's call came again.

Raymond's face showed slight annoyance. He answered the call and said in a low voice, "I'm not in Silverbrook right now. Whatever it is, we'll talk when I get back."

Sarah said, "I know, I'm at the same hotel as you! Raymond, didn't you ask me to think it over and give you an answer? I can tell you now."

"Send me your room number. I'll come over now," Raymond said coldly, striding out of the room.

As soon as the suite door closed, Margaret's eyes snapped open.

Margaret thought to herself, 'Didn't he say he only brought me? Why was there a woman's voice on the phone?'

Margaret got out of bed, left the presidential suite, and followed Raymond from a distance.

He walked to a suite at the end of the hallway and gently knocked on the door.

From Margaret's angle, she could see the door open!

The person who opened the door was none other than Sarah!

Sarah smiled happily when she saw Raymond.

Raymond didn't hesitate and went straight into the room, closing the door behind him.

Margaret was stunned for a moment!

He really did bring Sarah!

She almost believed his words on the plane.

What were he and Sarah doing in the room?

Margaret didn't dare to think about it. She didn't even have the courage to knock on the door and confront them!

Because he had told her not to provoke Sarah.

Between Sarah and Margaret, Raymond would never choose Margaret!

Margaret felt dizzy and weakly slid down the door, collapsing to the floor, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.

Her mind was a mess.

After everything she had been through, she still couldn't keep it together.

Meanwhile, in Sarah's suite...

She looked at Raymond, thinking, 'Money really does wonders.'

When she met him at the orphanage, he was just a kid in worn-out jeans, shunned by the other kids.

But now, where was any sign of Raymond's former embarrassment?

He was dressed in a tailored suit, with an expensive watch adorning his wrist, his gaze was icy. Simply sitting there in silence, he exuded an aura of intimidation.

He was truly a man who was hard to read.

Sarah had changed her strategy when she came. She had to stay here first to seize the opportunity to do other things!

Retreating to advance was the best approach!

"So, what's your answer?" Raymond asked first, frowning.

Sarah smiled gracefully and gently, "Raymond, remember what I said before? I helped you because I thought you were worth it. I didn't do it for a reward. Love is a personal matter. If you like Margaret, then stay with her."

"She needs your protection now, and she's carrying your child. Your support for her reveals that you are a man of compassion and integrity. I don't mind. You protect her, and I'll protect you. You don't have to worry about me."

"As for money, I don't need it. I don't want money to taint my feelings."

"I came here to tell you, Raymond, that I genuinely want to be friends with you."

Raymond seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, his expression softening as he said, "You'll meet the right man."

"Raymond, if we can't be a couple, can we at least be friends?"

Raymond said, "Yes."

"Recently, I've been thinking about the days when Margaret and I were best friends, traveling together, so I came too. You don't mind having me around, do you?" Sarah said generously.

Raymond's previously relaxed brow furrowed again.

Margaret was pregnant and already sensitive and moody.

If Margaret found out, she would surely misunderstand!

"No, she will misunderstand! You'd better move out of this hotel. I'll pay!" Raymond's cold lips uttered hurtful words.

Sarah's fingers clenched tightly in her sleeve.

But she said with a natural and soft smile, "No problem, I'll move out. You two are the couple, and if I stay, Margaret will definitely misunderstand. It's my fault for not thinking it through."

"Sarah, thank you for your understanding."

"Why are you being polite with me? As long as you get better and better, I'll be happy. It will prove that I had good judgment in helping you. Maybe we really can't be together." Sarah said with a bitter smile.

Raymond returned to the presidential suite.

He saw Margaret sitting on the bed, staring at the ceiling blankly.

"Why don't you sleep a little longer?" Raymond's eyelid twitched when he saw her expression.

Margaret stared at him intently and softly asked, "Where did you just go?"

His expression changed slightly, and he didn't answer immediately.

"Where did you just go?" Margaret pressed, her tone growing heavier.

Her demeanor gave him the illusion that she knew where he had been, but she had been asleep, so how could she know?

Besides, she was pregnant and not sleeping well. Their relationship was already strained, and telling the truth would do no good.

"Does this question require so much thought?" Margaret said with a sneer.
