Chapter 54 Are You Crazy?

Margaret was fuming. She grabbed Sarah by the shirt and dragged her towards the hospital fountain.

Sarah's delicate skin got scraped up pretty bad against the ground, peeling off a layer.

Sarah struggled. "Margaret, are you nuts? Let go of me, let go!"

It was the first time she realized just how strong Margaret was. She couldn't break free.

Before she could even react, Margaret grabbed her curly hair and dunked her head into the fountain.

The murky water rushed into Sarah's mouth and nose.

She struggled like crazy but couldn't break free.

Just as she was about to suffocate, Margaret yanked her up. Margaret sneered, "Having fun yet? Thought I wouldn't get mad?"

Sarah's veins bulged with anger. "Margaret, I'm gonna tell Raymond, I..."

Hearing Raymond's name, Margaret thought of how he refused to take the medicine she bought and spoke coldly to her.

It was all because of Sarah!

Sarah thought mentioning Raymond would scare Margaret, but before she could finish, her head was shoved back into the fountain.

Watching Sarah struggle in pain, Margaret felt an unprecedented sense of pleasure.

Margaret yanked her hair up, savoring the fear on her face. "Sarah, if I go down, I'm taking you with me! If you dare to come to the hospital and mess with my parents again, next time it won't be as simple as drinking fountain water!"

A furious shout came from behind. "Margaret, what the hell are you doing!"

She knew it was Raymond without turning around. Margaret glanced at the soaking wet Sarah, thinking, 'Raymond does arrive just in time.'

If she hadn't come back, Sarah would have provoked Nancy, causing a conflict for Raymond to witness.

"Raymond, save me," Sarah cried weakly, "Margaret is bullying me."

Margaret immediately shoved Sarah back into the fountain.

Raymond stepped forward, pushed Margaret away, and helped Sarah up.

Soaking wet, Sarah leaned weakly against his suit.

He gently brushed the hair from her cheek and comforted her softly, "It's okay; don't be afraid."

Margaret felt a sharp pang of jealousy. They looked like a couple, while she was the outsider, the intruder.

After comforting Sarah, Raymond looked up, his eyes like daggers, as if they could pierce her heart. "Are you out of your mind after going to Ironwood Lane?"

She was Raymond's wife. She was provoked and agitated by Sarah, yet he didn't protect her and instead said she was out of her mind?

Margaret sneered coldly, "If I'm out of my mind, it's because of you two."

"That doesn't mean you should get physical." Raymond frowned. "You now look like a shrew."

Margaret thought, 'So, in Raymond's eyes, I've become a shrew.'

She shouted, "She seduced you, took wedding photos with you, argued with my mom at the hospital, and I shouldn't hit her? Because of her, we're in this situation. She deserves to be hit!"

Margaret stared intently at Sarah in Raymond's arms. They were so close, not a gap between them.

Sarah raised an eyebrow, giving Margaret a smug look but spoke softly, "Raymond, don't blame her. She's misunderstood me for a long time. If hitting me can calm her down, I can take it."

Raymond ordered coldly, "Apologize!"

Margaret laughed bitterly. He was really playing favorites.

Margaret asked, "Aren't you gonna ask what happened?"

Raymond said, "You're wrong. No need for excuses. Margaret, apologize. I don't wanna say it again!"

Raymond took off his suit jacket and draped it over Sarah's shoulders.

Sarah took the chance to lean closer to him. "Thank you, Raymond."

Margaret laughed bitterly. Raymond had once promised her that his clothes would only be on her.

She didn't like his clothes having another woman's scent.

He had promised, but his words were lies.

She was naive to believe the lies.

"Do you want Nancy to tell you herself? Fine, I'll make it happen." Raymond took out his phone and found Nancy's number, ready to dial.

Margaret stared at him. "What if I have evidence that Sarah drugged you?"

She had a recording. She had just recorded it.

Sarah panicked and nervously tugged at Raymond's shirt sleeve. "Raymond, don't get mad at Margaret over these little things. No need to apologize. I'm fine. I know she didn't mean it."

Margaret stared at Raymond, her eyes full of defiance. "Raymond, I have evidence to prove my innocence. Do you dare to look? Do you dare to face Sarah's true colors?"

Would he be interested in her evidence? She had made it clear.

Raymond coldly withdrew his gaze and dialed the number. "I'll have Nancy tell you herself."

The call hadn't connected yet.

Margaret lowered her head. "I'm sorry."

She felt deflated. He wasn't interested in her evidence at all.

Raymond put the call on speaker.

The phone rang.

Margaret panicked. "Raymond, I already said I'm sorry. Why are you doing this?"

Raymond sneered, "Louder!"

Margaret clenched her fists. She was afraid Nancy would answer and get involved, making things even messier.

She gritted her teeth and shouted, "I'm sorry! Sarah, I was wrong. I'm sorry! Is that enough?"

Sarah was also afraid the surveillance in front of the ward would be checked. She didn't want to escalate things and feared Margaret might release some evidence if pushed too far.

Sarah said, "Raymond, it's enough. I don't blame her, really."

Raymond hung up the unanswered call and coldly glanced at Margaret. "For Sarah's sake, I'll let you off this time. Don't let it happen again."

Margaret ran away crying.

"Raymond, Margaret is a girl. It's too dangerous for her to be alone. Go after her. I'm fine." Sarah pretended to cough weakly.

Raymond sneered coldly, "If I go after her, then what's the point of you asking me to be here?"

She had him come to the hospital, only to witness Margaret shoving her head into the fountain. That was too coincidental.

Alvin walked up to Raymond. "Mr. Howard."

Raymond said, "Check the surveillance in Marlon's ward."

Sarah was stunned, her smile instantly fading, and she panicked. "Raymond, what are you talking about?"
