Chapter 303 They Went to Bed Again

More than three years, less than ten years. She won't live that long anyway.

After the court adjourned, the judge and others had already left.

Margaret put her thermos into her backpack, then stood up and slung the backpack over her shoulder.

From start to finish, she didn't look up to glance at Raymond and Sarah.

"Raymond, can you take me back to the hospital? Mr. Diaz said he has a plan to treat my face, and I want you to help me choose," Sarah said, trying to grab Raymond's arm and acting coy.

Margaret didn't want to hear them talk, so she quickly walked out of the courtroom with her backpack.

Her stomach churned, and she felt a wave of nausea. Margaret jogged to the restroom.

In the courtroom, Raymond avoided Sarah's hand and frowned, "I'm not a doctor. How would I know about treatment plans? Use whichever one you want; money is not an issue."

"Raymond," Sarah bit her lip.

Raymond glanced at Hubert beside him, "You take her back to the hospital."

"Yes, Mr. Howard," Hubert nodded respectfully.

Raymond turned and quickly walked out of the courtroom.

Hubert smiled at Sarah, "Let's go, I'll take you back to the hospital."

"Go where? My purpose in coming here was to be close to Raymond, don't you get it? Don't follow me and ruin my plans!" Sarah glared at Hubert and then went after Raymond.

Hubert clenched his fists, trying hard to suppress his irritation. The Sarah he liked was chasing after Raymond.

At the courthouse, in the public restroom.

Margaret kept vomiting.

The child in her belly had become a monster, and she was still experiencing morning sickness.

She washed her face and looked up to see Raymond walking in. He grabbed her wrist, "Are you feeling unwell? I'll take you to the hospital."

He was very tall, even half a head taller than Margaret.

Wearing a simple yet elegant classic suit, he looked very handsome.

Was he concerned about her? Margaret pressed her lips together and blinked her dry eyes.

"You're pregnant now, going to be a mother. You need to learn to take care of yourself," Raymond's voice fell into her ears again.

So it was because of the mutated child in her belly.

She smelled a faint fragrance that reached her nose. The fragrance mixed with a cold scent.

The faint fragrance was Sarah's perfume; she had smelled it when she passed by Sarah.

Margaret shook off Raymond's hand and sneered, "Are you here to talk about suing me for defamation?"

Raymond didn't expect her to jump to such an exaggerated topic.

How could he sue her? How could he bear to sue her?

His heart wasn't that cruel; he loved Margaret so much.

"You know I'm concerned about you," Raymond stared at her intently, explaining in a low voice.

Margaret sneered, "No need. If you don't plan to sue me now, then I'm leaving."

Just as she turned around, Margaret heard Raymond's mocking laugh, "Margaret, are you really that stupid? Do you really think you can send me to jail? Without me, Joseph wouldn't even bother with you!"

At these words, Margaret's body trembled.

She stopped in her tracks and turned back, questioning, "What do you mean by that?"

"I'm the silent investor in Joseph's law firm. Do I need to spell it out for you?" Raymond sneered.

Margaret felt a chill all over.

So her intuition was right; Raymond was indeed Joseph's boss!

From the beginning, were they just playing her?

Giving her hope, then telling her she was a joke.

"Be smart and stop doing such foolish things. If you had any sense, you wouldn't think I killed your dad. By now, you should understand that only I am your support. Without me, you are nothing." Raymond originally wanted to comfort her, to show her the truth.

To stop her from obsessing over Marlon's death, to stop thinking he killed Marlon.

But the words that came out seemed uncontrollable, like a knife stabbing straight into Margaret's heart.

Raymond impatiently pulled Margaret's wrist, and she stumbled, hitting her forehead against Raymond's chest.

"I'm taking you home!" Raymond said.

In the past, when they argued, he was cold. Even when he comforted her, he was cold, just like now, impatiently pulling her wrist, saying he would take her home.

Margaret was momentarily dazed.

"Raymond!" came a woman's voice, lively and pleasant.

Margaret looked up to see Sarah, dressed in pink fur, running over.

Sarah saw Raymond holding Margaret's hand, jealousy flashing in her eyes, then replaced by an innocent expression. She looked at Raymond, then at Margaret, "Raymond, what are you two doing?"

Raymond didn't expect Sarah to follow again and looked at her irritably, "Do I need to report to you what I do with my wife?"

"No, Raymond, that's not what I meant." Sarah's eyes instantly reddened, speaking pitifully, "You and Margaret are married; of course, I hope you two are well. I came to tell you that I listened to you and went back to the hospital with Mr. Diaz. I'll also follow your advice, treat my facial injuries well, and recover soon so you can see my cute self again."

Margaret felt so tired, thinking,' Is it the cute self in sex?'

Margaret blinked her dry eyes, about to speak.

"You go back to the hospital first. Call me if you need anything," Raymond said gently, seeing that she was sensible.

Just as he finished speaking, Margaret yanked her wrist out of Raymond's grip.

"You should stay with her. I don't need you," Margaret said. Raymond was already tainted; she didn't need him anymore.

A look of surprise and delight flashed in Sarah's eyes, "Really? Margaret, is that okay? But won't you be jealous and misunderstand?"

What right did she have to be jealous? She used to think it was a misunderstanding, but now Margaret didn't think so; this was reality.

Margaret used to fight for Raymond, but now, if Sarah wanted him, she could have him.

Raymond was about to refuse.

Margaret smiled and spoke, "I don't want him anymore. He's yours. You're welcome."

Raymond was so angry at her words that his eyelids twitched. She didn't want him anymore.

And she gave him to Sarah. Was he an object to be given away like that? Did she consider his feelings when she gave him away?

A surge of anger burned away Raymond's rationality.

Raymond, in front of Margaret, pulled Sarah into his arms and provocatively said to Margaret, "Then I'll listen to you and take her back to the hospital."

The two turned, leaning close to each other, and Sarah even acted coy, "Raymond, you're so good to me. I don't even know how to repay you."

Margaret bit her lip, her lips dry, watching their backs as they left, and sneered.

'How to repay. No surprise, those two are going to make love again.' She thought.
