Chapter 237 You Wouldn't Cry If Daniel Treated You Like This, Would You?
But Margaret didn't know if she was really clueless or just pretending, the words she said were infuriating beyond measure.
"Go find Sarah. Or I can call her to come pick you up," Margaret said, staring blankly at Raymond for a long time.
She thought she hadn't said anything wrong.
After all, they had been pouring their hearts out and kissing in the hospital carefree, so Raymond needed Sarah more.
As soon as she finished speaking.
Raymond's gloved hand grabbed her chin with such force that she couldn't break free.
His gaze was so sharp it seemed like it could pierce right through her.
She didn't know what she had said wrong to make him so angry. The fury was evident on his handsome face.
"Margaret, you're really generous, aren't you?" Raymond gritted his teeth at her.
Hearing his words, Margaret blinked.
She wasn't generous at all, but she had no choice. She could only silently endure.
"I'll call Sarah to come pick you up," Margaret said, pulling her phone from her pocket and scrolling to the contact.
Seeing that she was really going to call, Raymond angrily snatched the phone from her hand and smashed it on the floor.
Margaret panicked and bent down to pick up the phone from the carpet.
Raymond's anger flared even more, and he pushed her onto the gray bedding.
She tried to get up, but his body pinned her down tightly.
Margaret instinctively tried to back away, wanting to keep her distance from him.
However, Raymond's large hand gripped her waist firmly, and wouldn't allow her to retreat even a step.
"What are you dodging for?" Raymond leaned forward, laughing angrily.
Margaret pressed her lips together, thinking, 'How could he be so domineering? Do I have no say in what he wanted to do? Do I have to silently endure everything?'
But she couldn't argue, because her parents were already asleep. If they woke up, they would be worried.
Margaret took a deep breath, looked at the dark night outside the window, and then reminded him, "Raymond, it's late. Can you go home?"
"Why should I go home?" Raymond's anger grew, thinking, 'Besides telling me to go home and asking Sarah to pick me up, does she have nothing else to say?'
Margaret's gaze returned to his face. "Because my parents are asleep. Our arguing will disturb their rest. Raymond, please consider my parents. You can torment me another day."
"You used to want me to stay with you every day. Now you've changed so quickly," Raymond said, gripping her chin again.
His grip was strong, making Margaret wince in pain.
Whenever Margaret heard about the past, she felt exhausted.
The past wasn't beautiful at all to her; it was when she was at her most foolish.
Margaret added, "Raymond, people change. So there is a difference between the past and the present. Go find Sarah. She disfigured herself to save you. You should be with her."
"Are you jealous?" Raymond asked.
"No, I have no right to be jealous. I truly wish you both well because when I saw her risk her life to save you today, I understood that she loves you much more than I do. I'm not that selfless; I wouldn't give up my life for you," Margaret said numbly, "You two have taken the wedding photos. You should spend more time building a relationship with her."
As soon as she finished speaking, Raymond kissed Margaret directly, which was dominant and overwhelming.
Margaret instantly thought of Sarah kissing him today, feeling disgusting.
She didn't want anything Sarah had touched.
She thought to herself, 'Raymond is really too much. To torment me, he kisses me with the same lips that has kissed Sarah. Is he trying to disgust me? Does he think I am a fool who knows nothing?'
Provoked, Margaret reached out and pushed against his solid chest with all her might.
Raymond was already angry that she hadn't come to the hospital to see him or care for him. Now, when he kissed her, she reacted so strongly.
Raymond pinned her hands behind her back and kissed her even more dominantly and forcefully.
Margaret was forced down onto the bed.
She didn't want Raymond to kiss her, feeling it dirty, so she deliberately avoided his kisses.
When he kissed the left side, she turned her face to the right. When he kissed the right side, Margaret turned her face to the left.
Over and over again, Raymond's patience quickly wore thin.
His lips brushed against Margaret's cheek several times, cold and icy, as if he was forcing her.
"If you dodge one more time, I'll send Marlon back to the hospital right now. Do you believe me?" Raymond's large hand forced Margaret's face back to him.
Margaret instantly sobered up at his words.
Sensing the threat and warning in his eyes, She blinked her dry eyes.
Of course she would believe Raymond would do it, because there was nothing he couldn't do.
She told herself inwardly, 'Margaret, can you really defy Raymond? He's already pushed you to this miserable state, and you still don't know his temper, his true nature?'
Raymond's lips came at her again, and she knew she could only accept it this time, like accepting her death was coming.
Raymond's cool lips pressed heavily against her red lips.
But Margaret still felt wronged and hurt, thinking of the scene she saw in the hospital earlier.
Margaret's ears echoed with the doctor's words. 'Ms. Hughes, the cancer has spread to your organs. The baby can't be aborted. Eat whatever you want, fulfill any unfulfilled wishes, and leave no regrets."
She had so many wishes left unfulfilled. Like taking care of her aging parents, having a child with her beloved Raymond, raising the child, watching them get married and start their own family, meeting the mute boy again, but the mute boy was dead.
However, she had to leave her parents and went to heaven alone.
Realizing regrets were inevitable, her nose suddenly felt so sour.
Margaret stared at Raymond lying on top of her, feeling like a puppet, motionless.
She had tried hard to control her emotions, not wanting to cry.
But her tears still flowed uncontrollably. Raymond felt the tears and, displeased, propped himself up, looking at the tear-streaked Margaret beneath him. "You cry just because I kissed you? You wouldn't cry if Daniel treated you like this, would you?"
