Chapter 475 We Are a Team, No One Can Escape

The most heartbreaking part was Raymond's mocking voice on the phone. "Just another scam call."

The call abruptly ended.

Sarah was lost in the happiness of her impending engagement and didn't suspect a thing. Raymond pulled her close by the waist, and she instantly collided with his chest, clad in a dark shirt.

Sarah's face blushed, and she playfully scolded, "What are you doing in broad daylight? Aren't you afraid someone will see?"

"We're about to get engaged. Why worry about being seen?" Raymond smirked, releasing her waist and pulling a cigarette from his pocket. "Wanna go inside together?"

She hesitated, "You go ahead. I want to wander around a bit."

"Something wrong?"

"No, just wandering. Don't worry, I'll be back soon."

"Be safe," Raymond said gently, touching her face.

Sarah nodded and turned into a cobblestone alley.

Raymond lit his cigarette and followed her from a distance.

Sarah was highly alert, frequently glancing around to ensure no one was following her.

Once she was sure she was alone, she continued walking along an increasingly secluded path.

Eventually, she arrived at an abandoned restaurant and went inside.

The restaurant was spacious but had become desolate due to long neglect and lack of business.

The floor was covered in moss, and the air smelled of rust.

In a corner of the restaurant, a row of discarded tables and chairs were neatly arranged.

Raymond hid behind a pillar, smoking, and watched as Sarah met up with Hubert.

He bit his cigarette, sneering.

Hearing footsteps, Hubert slowly turned around, watching Sarah approach. She was dressed in the most expensive clothes, her makeup flawless, and wearing high heels. Seeing Hubert, she frowned, "Why are you in Silverwood?"

"What? You don't want to see me? That idiot Raymond invited me to your engagement party. Seems he really likes you, the fake," Hubert mocked, his face full of contempt.

Hubert advanced on her, and she nervously retreated.

Until her back was pressed against the cold, damp wall.

"Get Raymond out tonight, alone," Hubert ordered, squinting.

Sarah looked at him nervously, "What are you planning?"

"You know exactly what I'm planning. You didn't give Raymond that medicine, did you?" Hubert said, grabbing her neck and tightening his grip. "You bitch, you really have other intentions."

"Wait any longer, and it'll be too late," Hubert sneered. "You think you can turn the tables without consequences?"

Sarah desperately tried to pry his hand off, but his grip was too strong.

Her breathing became increasingly difficult.

Her face turned red from the strain.

No, she couldn't die. She still had to become Raymond's wife.

She struggled fiercely, but it was futile.

Suddenly, the hand around her neck loosened.

She gasped for fresh air.

Her body was forcefully turned, and Sarah was made to face a camera recording from a distance.

Then came the sound of fabric tearing, harsh and grating.

"No, stop!" Sarah cried out in humiliation.

She was about to get engaged to Raymond. How could she be humiliated like this?

But Sarah was just a woman, no match for Hubert.

Before she could react, Hubert brutally thrust himself on her, relentlessly.

Sarah felt a mix of shame, anger, and helplessness, her eyes red, biting her lip hard, tears streaming into her mouth, salty and bitter...

"I'll give you one last chance. Sarah, get Raymond to the abandoned factory tonight. Either he dies, or you do."

"Let me handle the wedding first, then I'll act," Sarah half-knelt on the ground, enduring his humiliation.

Hubert kicked her to the ground.

Sarah was in so much pain she couldn't get up for a long time.

Watching him approach, he squatted down, gripping her chin: "If I weren't afraid you'd be discovered, I'd have slapped you already. How dare you negotiate with me?"

Sarah's eyes were red, filled with anger and a hint of murderous intent.

"Want to kill me? All your secrets are in my hands. Do you dare? Bitch, I advise you to wake up. Everything you have now is stolen. If Raymond finds out you're a fake, he'll kill you himself. Dreaming of becoming his wife? You're not worthy," Hubert said, his anger flaring at the thought of Sarah's engagement to Raymond.

He couldn't stand the idea.

So the plan had to be moved up.

Sarah could only belong to him, no escape, no chance of escape.

Seeing Sarah's tears, he leaned down, kissing them away. "This is your last chance to prove your loyalty. If you don't cherish it, there won't be another. Sarah, if I don't see Raymond tonight, if he doesn't die, I'll destroy you."

"You're insane... you're insane..." Sarah shouted.

"Yes, I am. You're my woman. I've changed my mind. As long as you're alive, you're mine. This engagement with Raymond must be stopped. Trying to escape me?" Hubert smiled sinisterly, patting her cheek. "Dream on. Your fate is to be my plaything forever, never to rise."

Hubert glanced at the recording device, grabbed her by the neck, and dragged her close. "Everything we just did was recorded. If Raymond sees this, will he still want you, the fake?"

He released her neck.

His words hit Sarah's weak spot, and she collapsed to the ground.

Before leaving, Hubert shoved a bottle of medicine into her hand. "Make him drink this tonight. It'll weaken him. Together, we can kill him easily."

Sarah didn't want to take it, but he forced it into her hand, warning. "Don't try any tricks. Sarah, you know my methods. Don't betray me. If I go down, you go down. We're in this together, no escape."

With that, Hubert stood up, turned off the camera, and walked out of the restaurant with the recording device.

Sarah gripped the medicine bottle tightly, screaming in anger.

Behind the pillar, Raymond sneered, biting his cigarette, and walked away. He was curious to see if Sarah would actually try to make him drink that medicine.
