Chapter 236 Margaret, Is There Something You Want to Tell Me?

"Raymond, can we talk about this tomorrow?" Margaret thought he was here to argue with her.

When he looked for her, it seemed like arguing was the only thing they could do.

She didn't answer his calls or reply to his messages, so Margaret thought he must be here to question her.

Margaret felt utterly exhausted just thinking about it.

Spring had clearly arrived, yet it was still snowing, and the snow was so heavy.

It blurred her vision; she couldn't see anything in the distance.

The New Year was just around the corner; why couldn't they just be happy?

Margaret sighed, "I'm really tired today. Can we talk about this tomorrow?"

Her attitude made Raymond's face darken even more.

He had saved her entire family today. If he hadn't driven out in time, the car that crashed would have hit the one Margaret was in.

His forehead was still bandaged, and he had rushed out of the hospital because he wanted to see her, to ask why she treated him this way.

But now that he was here, she was so cold to him as his wife.

Raymond's anger was about to explode.

With his gloved fingers, he took out his phone and sneered at Margaret through the iron gate. "Do you want me to call your mom and have her open the door for me?"

"Raymond, what the hell do you want? I have told you, I'm really tired today." Margaret bit her lip, her pale cheeks turning blush with anger.

She thought, 'Why is he forcing me like this? Hasn't he done enough today? We aren't even divorced, but he is so openly intimate with Sarah, being confessed to and kissed by her. Does he think I wouldn't be hurt?'

Margaret even wondered if Alvin had been instructed by Raymond to take her to the hospital.

Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence that she saw Sarah and him kissing?

Margaret felt suffocated just thinking about it.

"So you really want your mom to come and greet me. Fine, I'll oblige." Raymond smirked, lowered his eyes, and started dialing.

Margaret panicked; she couldn't let Nancy get involved.

The New Year was almost here, and she didn't want Nancy to worry.

Margaret compromised, blurting out, "I'll open it!"

The lock on the iron gate was stiff and freezing to the touch because of the cold weather.

Margaret's hand lost all warmth the moment she touched the lock.

When the lock opened, Margaret used all her strength to pull the heavy iron gate open.

Raymond walked towards her expressionlessly, and Margaret felt a suffocating pressure. She kept backing away, wanting to keep her distance from him.

Margaret's behavior made Raymond's face even darker. The closer he got, the faster she retreated.

Raymond's large hand suddenly grabbed her waist, forcing her body to press against his coat.

"What are you afraid of?" Raymond sneered.

Margaret didn't want to look at him, so she stared at the thick white snow on the ground. "No."

"I think you are," Raymond snorted.

He glanced at her cheeks, as pale as the snow, and her fingers were also stiff from the cold.

Raymond's heart softened instantly, and his anger dissipated.

Before Margaret could react, she was cradled in his arms. With a cold expression, he walked towards the house.

"Raymond, what are you doing?" Margaret panicked.

The blizzard outside was getting worse, blowing his coat and gray scarf and Margaret's long hair, which stuck to Raymond's inscrutable face.

"Taking you upstairs," Raymond said coldly.

Margaret panicked at the mention of going upstairs, thinking, 'Dad and Mom have just gone to bed, what is Raymond doing here? And Dad is still Raymond's enemy, what if something goes wrong?

"You don't need to take me. If you have something to say, say it here." Margaret struggled, trying to jump out of Raymond's arms.

But he seemed to anticipate her move and held her tighter, making it impossible for her to move.

Raymond went upstairs, and Margaret was so anxious she was about to cry.

Raymond carried her into the bedroom, placing her on the bed.

Then he turned around, locked the door, and bolted it.

Margaret panicked, jumping off the bed and walking up to Raymond, urging, "Why did you lock the door? You've already brought me up, now leave."

Raymond turned, looking at her expressionlessly, and thought, 'Couldn't she see the bandage on my forehead? Couldn't she see that I got hurt for her today? And now she is asking me to leave again. We are a couple, why couldn't we be together?'

Margaret's words and actions were unbearable for him. Raymond's face was dark, but Margaret, unaware of his turbulent emotions, continued to push his limits.

She even pushed him with her hands. "Leave, Raymond, I don't want to see you. I'm already up here, you can go now."

Margaret really didn't want to see him because she was still angry and jealous.

She hadn't adjusted her emotions and didn't know how to face him.

She wanted him to leave to avoid a fight.

Raymond suddenly grabbed her wrist, frowning, "What do you mean?"

"Raymond, I'm begging you, leave. My parents just got back today, and they're already asleep. I don't want to argue with you and wake them up. We can talk about whatever it is tomorrow," Margaret pleaded.

Raymond moved closer to her. and she was forced to the edge of the bed, sitting on the bed's edge.

"My forehead is injured, don't you have anything to say to me?" Raymond asked, holding back his anger and lifting her chin.

Margaret thought for a long time, her gaze falling on the bandage on his forehead. The bandage was as white as the snow outside.

Indeed, she really wanted to care for him, otherwise, she wouldn't have made soup and taken it to the hospital.

But the fact was, he didn't need her care. He needed Sarah's company.

Sarah wanted him to marry her, and he probably agreed, after all, Sarah was his first love who ruined her face for him.

Margaret didn't want to humiliate herself anymore. Realizing he didn't need her care, so there was no point in saying anything.

"Margaret, don't you have anything to say to me?" Raymond wanted to hear her say something grateful.
