Chapter 215 Kissing Away the Blood on the Lips

Margaret was totally caught off guard by Raymond's sudden entrance. Her face went pale, eyes wide, and lips slightly parted.

She never thought Raymond would just burst in like that, especially not now, after they had just shared such an intimate moment. She still wasn't used to this kind of openness.

Her first instinct was to tell Raymond to leave; she didn't want him there. She was torn about whether to speak up or not.

Margaret slipped, and her whole body headed straight for the hard ground. But then, a strong, muscular arm grabbed her waist, pulling her into Raymond's embrace. Her cheek smacked against his chest as the shower water poured down his body, drenching her face, body, and eyelashes.

The sudden closeness made her heart race. Her ears turned bright red. She was about to push Raymond away.

Raymond pinned her against the wall. The wall was cold, chilling even though the bathroom was warm and steamy. She could still feel the cold seeping into her back. Sensing her discomfort, Raymond placed a large hand on her back, shielding her from the cold, hard wall.

Raymond was much taller than her, so she often had to look up at him. His hair was wet from the shower, sticking to his scalp. Water flowed down the contours of his handsome face.

His eyes held an indescribable emotion, and his high nose bridge and tightly pressed thin lips added to his intense expression. They said men with thin lips were the most heartless, and she had to admit, it seemed true.

Raymond's sharp, cold features were flawless, exuding a strong sense of masculinity. He looked like a sculpture, God's most perfect creation.

Margaret blinked, water getting into her eyes, making it hard to keep them open. She placed her palm on his chest and said, "You should..."

Raymond's strength was immense, and she realized she couldn't move him an inch. Her chin was lifted by his fingertip, and before she could react, he impatiently sealed her lips with his.

She never expected him to come in just to make love to her again. She thought, 'Raymond, my body is already in such a state, I could collapse at any moment, and you still want to make love to me?'

Her nose felt so sour, and tears welled up in her eyes. Luckily, they were in the bathroom, and the shower water masked her crying. She thought he would stop after a while, that if she didn't resist, he would lose interest and let her go.

But things were far from what she imagined. Raymond suddenly flipped her body. She quickly realized something was wrong and tried to struggle, crying, "Please, stop." If this continued, she would die—she really would!

Raymond said, "I'll wake Marlon up early. Be obedient. Bend over."

Hearing his words, her hand, which was pushing him away, instantly curled. He promised to wake Marlon up early, so she could see Marlon one last time before she died.

The offer was so tempting and the outcome so desirable, that she couldn't refuse. Her body was already in such a bad state, she was already waiting to die.

Margaret seemed to accept her fate, lowering her arms and bending over, letting him do whatever he wanted.

She felt no pleasure. It was just like completing a task. But everything between her and Raymond was just a transaction, right? And it was her idea, letting him torment her in exchange for the Hughes Family's safety and her parents' peaceful old age.

She thought to herself, 'Margaret, you asked for all of this. So why are you still sad, still shedding tears?'

She used to despise those who sold their bodies for profit and those who only cried when faced with problems. The funniest thing was, she was now becoming what she used to hate, doing what she used to despise.

Depression was like a beast, tamed and locked in the deepest cage of her heart. But now the cage was open, and the beast was out, tearing at her sanity. Endless sorrow swept over her.

Her head was splitting with pain. Raymond was still tormenting her endlessly. Maybe the depressive emotions triggered the cancer cells. Her liver suddenly hurt unbearably. She felt a sharp pain in her internal organs.

She trembled with pain, holding onto the tiles on the floor. She wanted Raymond to stop; she was in so much pain. But she was rational. She was too conflicted. If she spoke, would Raymond let her go? He might not. He might get angrier and leave. She would still be in excruciating pain, but what about her parents? Marlon hadn't woken up yet. She couldn't die right now.

Her tears fell uncontrollably, but she didn't dare to cry out loud. She was afraid of disturbing him, letting him notice something was wrong. Raymond might even mock her. She couldn't bear such cruel words now.

Maybe Raymond noticed something was wrong. He let her go, though he hadn't had enough. He was obsessed with her, never getting enough. He felt like he was going crazy. But thinking about her physical state, he restrained himself.

She was still in pain. Raymond dried her off, carried her out of the bathroom, and back to the bedroom. He placed her on the bed. Her forehead was covered in cold sweat. Her eyes were red.

Raymond noticed something was wrong. "What's wrong with you?"

He actually asked her what was wrong. She had been holding it in, but his question shattered her facade. Her body hurt, but her heart hurt even more. Tears burst from her red eyes, streaming down her thin cheeks.

"What's wrong with you?" Raymond squinted, looking at her in confusion.

She endured the excruciating pain, staring at him without blinking, her brows furrowed as she said, "I miss my dad. I feel like a bad daughter. He spoiled me for over twenty years, and now he's lying in bed. I can't even make him wake up. I feel like I deserve to die." Her tears flowed uncontrollably.

She bit her lip, her lips already chapped, and with the bite, bright red blood oozed out. Raymond leaned down, kissing away the blood on her lips bit by bit.

Her body hurt so much, she couldn't help but want to resist. Raymond thought she was rejecting him, so he pinned her hands to stop her from struggling and kissed her forcefully.
