Chapter 251 Indeed Unwilling
Raymond had a moment of distraction.
Countless small pills rained down on his face, bringing a fine, dense pain.
Margaret grew angrier as she spoke, grabbed the glass in her hand, and splashed it on Raymond's stern face.
"Raymond, I've had enough of you!" Margaret raged.
The scalding hot water made Raymond frown, and he wiped the water off his face.
Raymond grabbed Margaret's wrist. "Are you crazy?"
"Yes, I am crazy! Didn't you know that?" Margaret pulled her hand away, tears streaming down her face, and slapped Raymond hard on the cheek. "You bastard! What did I ever do to you? You're just a bodyguard. Raymond, without me, you're nothing! You said you would be grateful to me, you would be good to me, you would repay me! Is this how you repay me?"
"Raymond, you will be punished by God! You won't have a good end!"
"You treat me like this, treat the Hughes family like this, you won't have a good life either!" Margaret's slaps fell wildly and densely on Raymond's face and body; she was really driven mad by him.
She had already tolerated him a lot, and she had restrained all her temper.
But Raymond still pushed her to the brink, not letting her catch a breath! Why did it have to be like this between them?
Margaret's eyes were bloodshot, like a trapped beast making its final struggle and attack.
"Do you think I'm easy to bully, letting you and Sarah manipulate me? Raymond, why do you treat me like this! What did I ever do to you! I did nothing wrong to you! You have no right to treat me like this! Why should my life be deprived and decided by you?" Margaret wailed, collapsing.
Just as a slap was about to land on Raymond's face, he, having already endured her in every possible way, found her excessive. His face grew darker as he grabbed her wrist again. "Because you are my wife! Bearing children for me is your duty and obligation! Margaret, didn't you want to have children for me before? Why does having a child now seem like a death sentence to you?"
"I won't have one! Whoever wants to have one, let them! We're about to get divorced!" Margaret seemed triggered at the mention of having children.
She broke free from his wrist and scratched and clawed at his face in a frenzy.
Raymond's handsome face soon bore red scratch marks.
Raymond pinned her down on the sofa, pressing her hands firmly under her, laughing angrily: "Whether you have one or not is not up to you! This medicine that's good for the baby, you must take it."
He was also infuriated, not expecting Margaret to dare to treat him like this, thinking he spoiled her too much.
Raymond suddenly tore off his tie and bound Margaret's hands and feet, making her completely immobilized.
He walked back to the coffee table, and picked up the medicine again, one pill at a time.
Then he heated some water and poured it into the glass again.
Raymond, holding a handful of the medicine in one hand and the glass in the other, walked up to Margaret.
Margaret guessed what he was going to do and struggled frantically. "I won't take the medicine!"
"Be good, have the baby, and we can go back to the way things were." Raymond pressed a handful of pills into Margaret's mouth.
The bitterness spread wildly in Margaret's mouth.
Margaret wanted to spit it out. But Raymond leaned down and kissed her lips, sealing her lips tightly.
Margaret's hands and feet were bound, completely powerless.
Tears streamed down her face as she shook her head, not wanting to take the medicine.
She didn't want to die; she wanted to live a few more days, and wanted to spend New Year's with her parents.
But Raymond knew nothing of her pain.
"Be good, take the medicine, and I will help the Hughes family. I will take care of your parents in their old age. My grudge with Marlon will be resolved." Raymond's cheek pressed against Margaret's, gently comforting her.
He didn't know about Margaret's physical condition; he only knew that the child was the bond of their relationship.
Raymond desperately wanted to go back to the past. As long as he could find the Margaret who loved him, he would do anything.
Margaret instantly quieted down upon hearing this.
She gave up struggling; she was tightly held by Raymond.
Listening to Raymond gently fantasize about the future. "Margaret, have the baby, and we can go back to the way things were. We will be as happy as we used to be, very happy."
Margaret's nose tingled, and her tears flowed uncontrollably like a flood.
She thought, 'Raymond, I am dying, what use are these words? It is no use at all.'
"The Hughes family needs me. Your parents need me more. Margaret, think about it again." He held Margaret's body, wiping her tears, his voice full of persuasion.
Her body was already in this state, so she would leave sooner or later. But the Hughes family still needed him.
Without taking this medicine from Raymond, she would die anyway.
Her death didn't matter, but the Hughes family, and her parents needed to live well.
No matter how she resisted or struggled, it was her fate, just as she knew these pills would harm her body but still had to take them, as there was no other way.
Margaret seemed to see through it all as her throat moved, allowing countless pills to slide down and enter her body.
Margaret, tears streaming down her face, looked at Raymond. "Raymond, you swore to me. If you dare to break your promise, treat my parents badly, treat the Hughes family badly, I won't let you off even if I die."
"If you behave, I will naturally fulfill your wishes." Raymond meant he wanted her to have a child for him, which could ease their relationship.
But Margaret thought he wanted her to die, so that her parents could live safely.
Margaret didn't want to look at him anymore, tiredly closing her eyes. "Get out, I don't want to see you."
Raymond's face looked a bit ugly. He was angry at her attitude.
But he still endured it, got up, and untied the ropes on her hands and feet.
"What do you want to eat? I'll have Mary make it for you."
"Raymond, before I change my mind, disappear from my sight. Otherwise, I will really take your child and die with you." Margaret closed her eyes, not wanting to open them to talk to him anymore.
Raymond clenched his fists.
Thinking of her being pregnant with his child in her belly, he watched as she obediently took the medicine, knowing that her throwing a tantrum was normal.
"Call me if you need anything." Before leaving, Raymond took a blanket from the master bedroom and covered Margaret with it, afraid she might catch a cold.
After Raymond left, Margaret opened her eyes and cried.
What was there to be sad about, this was her debt to Raymond's family, she was just gaining by trading her life for Raymond's parents' two lives.
As long as the Hughes family was safe and her parents lived out their old age in peace, her death would be worthwhile.
But her whole life had been lived for others, the first half for Raymond, the second half for responsibility to her family, never for herself. She was indeed unwilling.
