Chapter 479 Whoever Dares to Stop Her, She Will Kill
Sarah couldn't help but smile at the thought of herself in a wedding dress, knowing that Raymond would soon propose.
In the past, she only wanted to take over Raymond's wealth, but now she had completely fallen in love with him.
With a smile on her lips, she wiped away the tears from her cheeks.
From her walk-in closet, she chose a black leather mini skirt, applied her makeup meticulously, and slipped on matching high heels. Before leaving, she picked up a brand-new dagger and placed it in her black handbag.
She left the hotel and hailed a cab to the abandoned factory.
Not far away, in a car, Raymond bit down on his cigarette and asked Alvin, "Is everything set?"
"Yeah, Mr. Howard. Our guys are already at the factory. As soon as Sarah makes her move, we'll catch her in the act. We set up hidden cameras all over the place. This time, she won't be able to weasel out of it," Alvin said, starting the car and turning the wheel.
The car sped down the wet asphalt road, heading towards the abandoned factory.
Raymond bit down on his cigarette, his mind racing, "Margaret, soon I'll be able to bring you home. Margaret, just wait for me. This time, no one will be able to separate us."
Ten minutes later.
The car stopped at the entrance of the abandoned factory. A cold, waning moon illuminated the factory's bare branches, adding to the desolate and eerie atmosphere.
Sarah paid the cab driver, then stepped out.
With a graceful sway of her hips, she walked towards the factory, carrying her black handbag.
Hubert's screams and curses echoed intermittently.
Sarah raised an eyebrow. The sound was music to her ears. After waiting so long, today had finally arrived.
This factory reminded her of the place where she had been assaulted. If it weren't in Silverwood, she would have suspected it was the same place.
The factory's lighting was dim, with a single flickering yellow bulb hanging from the ceiling, swaying as if it could fall at any moment.
Several men were brutally beating Hubert, who was blindfolded with a black cloth bag.
When the men saw Sarah, they stopped and walked towards her, nodding respectfully. Sarah took out a card from her handbag and handed it to one of them.
With a glance, the men quickly turned and jogged out of the factory.
Unbeknownst to Sarah, these men were intercepted by Raymond's team before they could leave the factory.
Inside the factory, Hubert's obese body was tied to a chair with thick ropes, his hands and feet bound tightly.
His head was covered with a cloth bag.
Unable to see his surroundings, Hubert trembled in fear, his body shaking like a leaf.
Sarah listened to his curses, then slowly walked up to him and pulled off the black cloth bag from his head.
The cloth bag fell to the ground.
Sarah squinted, looking meaningfully at Hubert's bruised and battered face, her eyebrow twitching slightly. "Hubert, how did you end up like this?"
"Fuck, I don't know who knocked me out. When I woke up, I got beaten up. Once I find out who did this, I'll kill them," Hubert spat out, seething with rage.
Sarah scoffed.
Hubert glared at her and shouted, "It's all your fault. If you had come earlier, this wouldn't have happened. Hurry up and untie me."
Sarah felt disgusted when she saw his ugly, domineering face. She gripped her handbag tightly, standing still and staring at him disdainfully.
"Why are you just standing there? Hurry up and untie me. Or I'll beat you to death," Hubert yelled, his anger rising.
Sarah walked over expressionlessly and slapped him hard across the face. "Who are you going to beat to death? Hubert, you better understand the situation. Who's begging who now?"
"How dare you hit me? Are you crazy?" Hubert's face swelled even more, and blood droplets appeared from the slap.
Sarah smirked, leaning closer to him, admiring his pathetic state. "Why don't you beg me, apologize to me? Maybe I'll feel merciful and let you go."
Hubert had never seen this side of Sarah. She used to be submissive and apologetic. Her sudden change left him both angry and shocked.
But realizing he was in a vulnerable position and needed Sarah, he swallowed his pride and apologized, "My mistake. Hurry up and untie me. Raymond will be here soon, and we need to team up to take him down. Now's not the time for infighting."
"Untie you? Hubert, are you delusional? After all the suffering you've put me through, seeing you get beaten makes me happy. Why would I save you? You must be dreaming," Sarah paused, then leaned close to his ear and smiled, "And by the way, Raymond isn't coming tonight."
"What do you mean?" Hubert turned his head, staring at her in shock. His face was covered in wounds, and every movement caused him pain.
Sarah smirked, "It means that tonight, Raymond and I are here to deal with you. Such dirty work shouldn't be done by him. Of course, I'll do it for him."
"You're crazy! You've been tricked by him! Sarah, you're an imposter. If Raymond finds out your true identity, he'll kill you. He's using you to eliminate me. Wake up!" Hubert shouted in anger.
But Sarah, lost in her love for Raymond, was too far gone to see reason.
She only knew she wanted to rid herself of Hubert, the demon, and live a normal life.
Once tonight was over, good days awaited her.
No more humiliation, no more being looked down upon, no more being trampled on.
Anyone who tried to stop her would be killed.
She opened her handbag.
Sarah took out a dagger and held it to Hubert's neck, moving it back and forth, causing him to tremble in fear and nervously swallow. "Don't do anything rash."
"When you humiliated me, when you forced me to do your bidding, why didn't you remind yourself not to act rashly? Hubert, you know too many of my secrets. Once I deal with you, no one will know those dirty things. Then I can marry Raymond in peace," Sarah's red lips moved as she spoke, and the dagger plunged into Hubert's arm.
