Chapter 232 Not a Single Missed Call

Raymond had no clue Margaret had been there since his back was to the door.

He also didn't see Sarah's bold move coming when she kissed him. In a split second, Raymond's face turned dark. He shoved Sarah away, frowning. "Did you forget what I told you before?"

Raymond must've been really pissed, 'cause he pushed Sarah so hard she hit the bed rail.

Sarah thought about all the effort she put in, yet she couldn't make Raymond give up on Margaret. She was so mad that tears started to fall. How did Marlon get so lucky, dodging her schemes twice?

But her face looked all innocent, crying weakly. "I know, you said you just wanted to be friends and wouldn't marry me. Raymond, it was my fault. I lost control for a moment. Don't worry about me. This is my fate. I'm not worthy of marrying you!"

Sarah broke down crying, unable to calm her anger. "I've given so much for you! What has Margaret given you? Besides being luckier than me, she hasn't given anything! Raymond, I was the one who gave you a million dollars so you could get out of the orphanage! Without my help, you wouldn't have gotten close to Margaret so easily! I helped you fulfill your wish, helped you get revenge, and now you tell me you've fallen in love with Marlon's daughter!"

She kept slapping herself and pulling her hair. "Now I have depression, and my face is ruined! What should I do? What did I do wrong? Raymond, why are you treating me like this? I deserve to die!"

The bandages on Sarah's face were stained with blood from her slaps.

Raymond pursed his lips. "Sarah."

"Don't look at me with those sympathetic eyes! Raymond, I need you to love me, to marry me, not to pity me, do you understand? Go away, let me fend for myself! Someone like me doesn't deserve your love! If I die, no one will be in your way! You can be with Margaret forever! Go away!" Sarah broke down crying, desperately pulling her hair.

Raymond thought she was having an episode and quickly called Hubert.

As soon as Hubert arrived, he knew what was up.

He took out a syringe, drew some clear liquid from a vial, and injected it into Sarah right in front of them.

Sarah wanted to refuse, glaring at Hubert, but with Raymond there, she had to endure it.

After getting the shot, Sarah passed out.

Raymond looked at Hubert. "Will she be okay?"

Hubert replied, "Mr. Howard, Ms. Martinez has severe depression. Try not to upset her. Plus, this time, her disfigurement because of you naturally made her feel worse. Wait until she calms down completely before you see her again."

"Find a professional team to treat her well, no matter the cost." Raymond looked compassionately at the unconscious Sarah on the bed, then walked out of the ward.

Hubert walked with Raymond, seeing him out of the hospital. Before leaving, he asked, "Mr. Howard, I saw the news about you and Sarah. Is Mrs. Howard and Mr. Hughes okay?"

"They're fine," Raymond answered casually without thinking much of it.

Hubert reminded him, "Mr. Howard, even though you're not seriously hurt this time, you should still take care of those external injuries and get some rest."

His eyes landed on the bandages wrapped around Raymond's forehead.

Raymond nodded and then drove off.

Hubert went back to Sarah's ward, dismissing the nurses at the station.

He closed the door and drew the curtains in the room.

He walked up to Sarah, his large hand moving up her loose hospital gown.

Sarah's eyes snapped open. "What are you doing?"

"Sarah, you got lucky this time. You didn't manage to kill Marlon, but you became Raymond's savior. Your depression act was way over the top, and you even hurt yourself," Hubert said, kissing her neck.

Sarah already hated him. But she felt her body getting hot and weak, unable to muster any strength.

She quickly realized what was happening, glaring at him. "What did you inject me with? Why do I have no strength at all?"

"Of course, it's something to make us feel good. Sarah, I find I still like you better when you're drugged. You want to resist but can't. Since you can't resist, just enjoy it, okay?" Hubert undressed her.

Sarah was so angry she was trembling, cursing in her head, 'This damn Hubert! So despicable! Taking advantage of me and drugging me.'

However, she couldn't move at all, as if a fire was burning inside her, making her extremely uncomfortable.

Her fingers clutched Hubert's clothes, her body writhing, clinging to him, begging, "Help me. Hubert."

"That depends on your performance, Sarah." Hubert pushed Sarah's head down to his belt.

Sarah clearly understood his dirty thoughts, but her rationality was being stripped away bit by bit. She swore she would kill Hubert one day.

To ease her discomfort, Sarah had to use her teeth to undo his belt.

But Hubert's demands became more and more excessive. Enduring the disgust, Sarah swallowed it.

Hubert looked at Sarah's submissive appearance, satisfied, stroking the hair stuck to her face. "Sarah, you'll have to kneel and serve me like this for the rest of your life. I can lift you high, or I can make you fall to pieces. Understand?"

"Got it," Sarah said tearfully, her face flushed with humiliation.

She had known she would be tortured like this. She shouldn't have provoked Hubert in the first place. Now she couldn't get rid of him.

Sarah blamed Margaret for all of this, believing that if Ashley had killed Margaret in the first place, she wouldn't be in this situation now. So she thought Margaret must die. If she was in pain, everyone should be in pain.

When Raymond drove home, Alvin called him, asking, "Mr. Howard, did Mrs. Howard bring you soup? She called me ten minutes ago, but I missed it."

Speaking of this, Raymond got a bit angry.

He had gotten into a car accident saving Margaret's family, although it wasn't serious. But Margaret hadn't shown up at all.

Alvin's words annoyed him, and he hung up.

He controlled the steering wheel with one hand, then took out his phone and checked the call log, but there wasn't a single missed call from Margaret.
