Chapter 101 Had Fallen Apart

With Scott's orders issued, the entire Secure Horizon Services was thrown into chaos.

Over fifty people were arrested, and more than a dozen were shot on the spot for resisting arrest. The once-dominant group faced a brutal crackdown.

Next, a large number of ledgers and videos were seized, and the police discovered twelve fugitive criminals hidden among the training officers.

The numerous crimes of Secure Horizon Services were fully exposed.

"Are Samuell and Isabella okay?"

Outside Secure Horizon Services, in a police car, James asked Scott while eating a sandwich. Scott replied, "Don't worry, the bullet has been removed, and Isabella is being comforted by a specialist."

Scott told James everything he wanted to know. "I also arranged for two nurses to take care of Mary, and there are agents secretly protecting her. I will ensure that the incident from tonight does not occur again due to negligence."

Scott said, "James, I'm sorry for the trouble."

This night's turmoil made Scott fully accept James.

"It's a small matter." James tilted his head slightly. "How are you going to deal with them?"

"Let them rot in prison."

Scott didn't hide anything from James. "It's not personal revenge," he said, "it's just that Jesse and Lyla's crimes are enough to sentence them to life imprisonment. As for Bryan, his crimes are even more severe. Not only did he illegally detain innocent people, force women into prostitution, and maim others, but he also harbored many criminals. His Secure Horizon Services team included people with criminal records, those who had served their sentences, and fugitives. Bryan even sheltered the Rainy Night Killers."

Scott's eyes flashed with intensity. "I won't let him off this time."

"The Rainy Night Killers?" James frowned slightly. "Why does that sound familiar?"

Scott smiled: "You should be familiar with them because they were on the news for half a month last year. They are wanted criminals in Rosewood City."

James slapped his forehead as he remembered. The Rainy Night Killers were five psychopathic serial killers, four men and one woman, who specifically killed people on rainy nights.

The men would kidnap single female passengers while driving taxis, and the woman would pretend to be pregnant to drug kind-hearted female passersby.

Over the past two years, they had killed twenty-eight people, all single women.

James was slightly surprised. "I remember the police has supposedly killed them. How are they still alive?"

"Last year, the police did surround them and killed two of the men, but the other three escaped through the sewers during a rainy night." Scott continued, "We conducted a city-wide search for a month without finding them and thought they had left Rosewood City. Unexpectedly, they were hiding in Secure Horizon Services as training officers."

Scott showed a hint of regret. "Unfortunately, during the arrest, they didn't come out to resist but immediately escaped through the sewers."

James suddenly understood. "I see."

"James, that's enough. Don't think too much about these things; you won't be involved." Scott smiled. "No one will know you were here tonight."

Having met several times, he somewhat understood James's personality. He didn't like being in the spotlight and preferred not to get involved in conflicts.

James smiled. "Good, it's best if I don't exist, including in Jesse and Lyla's statements."

Scott laughed heartily. "Don't worry, you won't get any credit. I'll have someone take you back to JZL Medical Hall first. I'll issue a warrant later to fully capture Bryan and his gang."

He patted James on the shoulder, ready to get out of the car.

James asked, "Will Bryan get the death penalty?"

He had never met Bryan but judging by Terry's behavior, he could tell Bryan was a lawless and unscrupulous person.

If the person who dared to commit armed violence in the hospital was still alive, James would worry about the safety of his mother and Mary.

"He'll definitely be caught, but the death penalty is unlikely." Scott was realistic. "Besides the lack of evidence, he also has powerful backers in Rosewood City and Stardust City. Those people can't protect his wealth and innocence, but they can save his life."

Scott reassured James. "Don't worry, he won't get out."

James sighed indifferently. "For me, it's more reassuring if he's dead."

He picked up his phone and sent a text message.

In the night, a black stretch Lincoln was leisurely heading towards Secure Horizon Services, carrying three black-clad bodyguards, all armed.

In the back seat, Bryan was leaning back, smoking a cigar, and playing with a bracelet.

After visiting Jesse in the hospital, he spent some time with his mistress before heading to the company to see James's miserable end.

Thinking about how obedient and submissive the fiancée of his once-defiant employee was to him, Bryan felt a sense of conquest.

At that moment, his phone vibrated.

After a brief call, Bryan's face changed dramatically.

Secure Horizon Services had been subdued by the police. They found a pile of illegal ledgers, videos, fugitives, and more than a dozen detained individuals.

Jesse, Lyla, and Terry were all out of contact.

All his connections in Rosewood City had gone silent.

Bryan didn't know if it was because of James, but he knew he was facing a tough choice. Running away meant abandoning his multi-million-dollar company; staying meant certain imprisonment and revenge from old enemies.

Bryan, comforting himself with the thought that sometimes he had to give up to gain, finally made a decisive gesture and said, "Change course, head to Stardust City."

Stardust City held his lifeline and the capital for a comeback.

The driver and bodyguards were momentarily stunned but said nothing, turning the car towards Stardust City.

Bryan didn't choose the airport or the train station, believing the police would have those covered, so he opted for the highway.

Just as they were about to reach the highway entrance, a van suddenly changed lanes and braked without warning.

The high-performance stretch Lincoln barely stopped in time.

Before Bryan and his men could roll down the windows to curse the van driver, a truck suddenly accelerated from behind.

As the truck was about to hit the Lincoln, the driver made a sharp turn.

The truck's cab swerved, avoiding a rear-end collision, but the container in the back toppled over.

Tons of cargo and the container itself crashed into the Lincoln.

The screeching sound drew everyone's attention, making Bryan and his men instinctively look up. What they saw made their faces turn pale.

As they scrambled to open the car doors, the container smashed onto the Lincoln's roof.

All the car windows shattered instantly, sending glass shards flying everywhere.

In that brief moment, the bulletproof roof, under the immense weight, deformed severely, the sound of twisting metal chilling to the bone.

Bryan and his men, who had been sitting upright, were instantly crushed.

Blood spurted out, some of it splattering onto the van.

The van stopped in front, and Jacob stepped out, a cigarette in his mouth.

He kicked the truck driver, who was climbing out of the cab.

"Couldn't you slow down a bit? You got blood all over me."

Jacob lamented. "This suit cost me ten thousand dollars."
