Chapter 380 At the Lee Manor

After stepping into the Lucky Hotel, James immediately started treating Mary and asked for some medicinal herbs to be brought up.

He also found a moment to send a message to Ollie, asking him to find a few reliable women who could help take care of people.

Once Mary was stabilized, James still had to treat Clarence and the others.

After a round of acupuncture, Mary broke out in a sweat, and the toxins were neutralized, but she hadn't woken up yet and her face was still pale.

James then administered the prepared medicine to Mary.

Soon, a bit of color returned to her cheeks, and her breathing became steady.

With Mary out of immediate danger, James finally relaxed and couldn't help but glance at her a couple more times.

Of course, it was just a couple of glances; James wasn't the type to take advantage of the situation.

Just as James was covering Mary with a blanket, the doorbell rang softly.

James walked over and opened the door to find Ollie standing there.

Beside him were four girls, each either cute or sexy, all looking delicate and charming.

They looked at James with eyes that were both shy and a bit heated.

James was slightly taken aback. "Ollie, what are you doing?"

"James, you said you needed some women who could take care of people, so I brought four over," Ollie said, trying to please.

"Girl-next-door, mature, flight attendant, and a proud businesswoman."

"They're not only beautiful but also very good at taking care of people. I guarantee you'll be satisfied."

Ollie was quite proud. "And don't worry, James, they're all very clean."

"Are you kidding me?" James knocked Ollie on the head in frustration. "I asked you to find some women who could take care of people for me."

"Yeah, and that's what I did," Ollie said, thinking James was dissatisfied and quickly covering his head to explain.

"James, they really are good at taking care of people. If you don't believe me, give them a try."

"If you're not satisfied, you can break my leg tomorrow."

Ollie was confident in the four women. "I dare say, in the entire Glowing Oasis, no one is better at taking care of people than they are."

James was almost driven mad by Ollie. "I have a friend who's unconscious and probably won't wake up until morning. I need someone to take care of her tonight."

Hearing this, Ollie's eyes lit up, and he gave a thumbs-up in admiration. "Impressive, knocking someone out like that. No wonder you're the boss."

"Good thing I brought four at once; otherwise, they might not last a few hours with you."

"Alright, James, you use these for now, and I'll find a few more women who can take care of people."

"Tonight, I'll make sure you're fully satisfied."

Ollie gave a knowing look, his eyes filled with admiration. thinking James was truly exceptional in every way.

The four girls couldn't help but feel nervous, looking at James with a mix of fear, curiosity, and a bit of heat, wondering if they would pass out.

"Get out!" James didn't want to talk to Ollie anymore and directly sent the four women away, then called Mia over to take care of Mary.

He packed up his acupuncture needles and medicine and headed straight to the hotel.

Soon, he found himself in a conference room with Clarence and the Smith Corporation's bodyguards, all of whom had darkened faces and weak breathing, with some even having skin ulcers.

The toxins were incredibly potent.

Nathaniel approached with concern. "James, what's going on with them? Are they poisoned?"

"Yes, and it's Sorcerous Poison."

James handed the herbs to Nathaniel. "Brew these herbs, make a lot of it, and have everyone drink a bowl. I'm worried you might get infected while moving them."

Nathaniel nodded repeatedly. "Got it."

He quickly took the herbs to brew them.

James didn't rest either, performing acupuncture on all of them to bring them back from the brink of death.

He also infused a bit of white light into Clarence, who was the most severely injured.

Clarence had been poisoned twice and soaked in water for a while. If not for a bit of lingering resentment keeping him alive, he would have died long ago.

"Cordelia, Cordelia!"

When Clarence woke up, he was initially confused, then he struggled to sit up and shouted, "Cordelia, don't be afraid, I'm here to save you."

"Don't move, you're not fully recovered yet." James pressed him back down. "I've cleared the toxins and the fluid in your lungs, but you need to rest for the night."

"I need to save Cordelia," Clarence insisted, shouting for Cordelia. When he heard that the toxins were cleared, he was momentarily stunned.

He then checked himself and found that aside from external injuries, his internal injuries and toxins were gone.

His previously weak body had regained its strength.

The once proud Clarence suddenly knelt before James, bowing his head. "Mr. Williams, please help me save my daughter."

"As long as my daughter comes back, I'll do anything to repay you."

Clarence's face was no longer arrogant, only filled with worry for his daughter and hope for James.

Though he was the Riverfront King, whose mere cough could shake the entire Glowing Oasis, he felt powerless against someone like Dark Shadow.

James helped Clarence up. "Don't kneel. Get up and tell me what happened."

"It's like this," Clarence began explaining to James.

"My daughter Cordelia turned five last night. Our family, along with a dozen of my men, were celebrating at Riverside Tower."

"Halfway through dinner, Dark Shadow suddenly appeared, saying Cordelia was beautiful and had great potential."

"She wanted to take Cordelia as her apprentice and make her a child bride for her master, to carry on their lineage. She demanded we hand Cordelia over."

"Seeing this crazy woman trying to take my daughter, we kicked her out without a second thought."

"Then she got angry."

"She poisoned and killed a dozen of us in one go. We had knives, guns, and even a top-level fighter, but we were no match for her."

"My ten-year-old son tried to save Cordelia but had his head smashed by her snake-headed staff."

"I was ready to fight to the death, but my wife pulled me back and pushed me out the window into the river, telling me to survive and seek revenge."

"As I went under, I saw her kill my wife and take Cordelia."

"I swam to the shore but was too poisoned to climb out. Luckily, I was found by you."

"I never expected her to be so ruthless."

"Mr. Williams, please help me. Help me get revenge and find Cordelia."

Clarence knelt again, desperate. He had people, weapons, and money, but he didn't know how to deal with Dark Shadow.

Killing one, a hundred, or a thousand made no difference to Dark Shadow.

"I see." James narrowed his eyes. Though he had his issues with Clarence, hearing about Dark Shadow's brutality made him angry.

Especially since she had tried to harm Mary, James's eyes flashed with determination.

"This herbal soup can detoxify and sustain life. Drink it."

James had Nathaniel bring a bowl of herbal medicine. "Then go next door. I've captured Dark Shadow, but I haven't seen your daughter."

He waved his hand lightly. "Go, whether you can get information out of her depends on you."

Clarence was shocked to hear that James had captured Dark Shadow. It required not only great strength but also immunity to all poisons.

Clarence quickly drank the herbal soup and went next door to interrogate Dark Shadow.

No matter what, Clarence had to find out Cordelia's whereabouts. She was his last remaining blood relative.

Two hours later, Clarence returned, covered in blood. "She's at the Lee Manor..."
