Chapter 162 You Have No Face Here
"Ten minutes? Beat me up?"
James turned around and slapped her. "Call someone right now. If the people you call can't beat me up today, I'll have someone beat you up."
For a woman who was so self-righteous and didn't value human life, James didn't mind wasting half an hour teaching her a lesson.
This was also a way of saving the world.
With her cheek swollen from James' slap, Peyton let out another scream, covering her pretty face and stepping back four or five steps. She looked at James furiously.
She couldn't understand how someone driving an old, beat-up Mercedes had the guts to challenge her, a high-society person.
Even though she was new to Rosewood City, she was still worth millions and had many wealthy and influential relatives in the city.
James challenging her was like courting death.
So she glared at James a few times, then took out her phone and called out in grievance. "Addison, it's Peyton. It's my first time in Rosewood City, and I've been deceived and bullied."
"Call some people, call a lot of people. The other party said they want to kill me."
"Yes, he's a thug. He slapped me a dozen times. You must call a lot of people."
After finishing the call, Peyton pointed at James and sneered, "Bastard, you're done for. Addison and the others are coming with people."
"Just wait, you're going to be finished soon."
"My Addison comes from a wealthy family, and my brother-in-law is a big construction boss."
"One call and hundreds of people will come."
She felt she would soon have her revenge.
"You're going to be in big trouble soon."
James ignored her, told Samuel to buy two breakfasts, and then ate while waiting for the others to arrive.
Peyton's efficiency was quite good. In less than ten minutes, five pickup trucks roared in and parked near the Porsche.
Inside and outside the trucks were many workers, each wearing a hard hat and holding a shovel, looking fierce.
Then, three more construction vehicles arrived and parked by the roadside, with another dozen strong men getting out.
It didn't stop there. Soon, a crusher arrived, seemingly ready to crush James' Mercedes.
Finally, five or six mid-to-high-end cars rushed in.
James immediately recognized the familiar license plates.
The cars also parked near the Porsche, and a dozen well-dressed men and women hurried out.
Samuel's mouth dropped open, thinking the world was too small.
The newcomers were Addison, Abigail, and Christopher from the Smith Family.
Samuel never expected Peyton to be related to Addison.
"Peyton, what's going on?"
Addison was the first to get out of the car, locking eyes on Peyton, then approached Christopher and the others. "Who bullied you?"
"Don't be afraid, Addison brought a lot of people and even had Christopher bring a few truckloads of people."
Addison was as strong-willed as ever. "No matter who it is, your aunt won't let them off today."
"Addison, Christopher, sister, you're finally here. If you hadn't come, I would have been bullied to death."
Peyton pointed to her swollen face, saying, "Look, my face is swollen from being slapped."
"Bastard, who bullied my sister?" Christopher stepped forward and roared, "Step out yourself, don't make me angry."
"It was him, it was him, this guy." Peyton quickly took a few steps forward, pointing at James and shouting, "He's the one who hit me."
"Bastard, didn't you tell me to call someone? I've called over a hundred people now, are you scared?" She was overbearing. "Immediately, right now, kneel down, slap yourself ten times, and beg me."
Relying on her numbers, she also slapped Samuel, leaving five more red marks on his face.
James didn't tolerate her and slapped her hard.
Peyton screamed, staggering back two steps.
"Ask them if I'm afraid of them? Not just anyone can be called. If these are your backers, then get ready to cry."
As James spoke, he slapped her six more times. He wouldn't be soft-hearted with such an arrogant woman.
Peyton retreated ceaselessly, pointing at James in grief and indignation. "Addison, stand up for me."
"James." At this moment, Addison and Christopher recognized James, and their faces instantly became extremely awkward.
Yesterday's humiliation made them feel ashamed, but it also made them see James as a thorn in their side, never wanting to see him again.
But they didn't expect Peyton to clash with James as soon as she arrived in Rosewood City.
And it had escalated to this point.
Addison and Christopher's expressions were complicated, not knowing how to address James.
"James, you've got some nerve." Abigail was also stunned and then became furious. "How dare you hit a woman in public?"
"This woman was driving the wrong way, refused to correct her mistake, and even hit people." James was indifferent. "Slapping her a few times is for her own good, to prevent her from causing more harm in the future."
"For her own good? Don't say such hypocritical things. You're just looking for trouble." Abigail was aggressive. "Mary divorced you, and you're unhappy, so you take it out on the Smith Family's relatives. You're not a man."
Christopher also chimed in, "If you can't let go of Mary, then make amends properly. Why cause trouble?"
"Looking for trouble?" James sneered, "You think too highly of yourselves."
At this moment, a dozen more cars arrived at the street, all sent by Jared, instantly suppressing Christopher's workers.
In fact, their presence didn't matter. Christopher knew James had connections with Aaron, so no matter how many workers he brought, he wouldn't dare touch James.
"I don't have time to waste with you. Either I call the police to detain her and charge her with assault, or she kneels down, apologizes, and compensates." James was concise. "Of course, if you're unhappy, you can all come at me together."
"So you're James, my useless brother-in-law, no, the ex-brother-in-law who was kicked out."
At this moment, Peyton learned about James' identity from Christopher's brief explanation. Her initial fear and panic turned into confidence and anger.
She had thought she was dealing with some rich person, but it turned out to be the waste kicked out by the Smith Family.
"Good riddance, it was the right move, or my sister would have been blind."
Peyton continued, "James, you have no ties to the Smith Family anymore, you have no backing, and I won't give Addison and the others any face today."
Peyton put on airs. "If Addison doesn't want to deal with you, I have plenty of friends who can."
As she spoke, she picked up a shovel and swung it at James.
James kicked it away.
"Enough, James, this ends here." Addison stepped forward, staring coldly at James. "After all, we're family, and you still care about Mary. Give me some face."
"Sorry." James slapped Peyton again. "You have no face with me."
