Chapter 250 Dark Clouds Over the City

As the taxi quietly rolled away from Main Street, Francis slipped out of the shadows.

He gave the departing cab a disinterested glance before heading over to Bright Heart Hall Clinic to find James.

It was eleven at night, and 12 miles away from the clinic, at The Bennett Villa, a business car slowly pulled up to the main building with its green bricks and black tiles.

A guy with a sharp face got out of the car. After passing through a few checkpoints, he carefully made his way to the rooftop.

The rooftop was lit up like a Christmas tree, with bodyguards in black standing on both sides.

The night wind was strong, making their clothes flap noisily.

He immediately spotted Neil and Eugene with their crew.

Neil, as usual, was decked out in red, drinking with Eugene from Keith's circle, and playing with a snake in his hand.

The snake was small but ugly, with a triangular head and a slippery body that gave anyone the creeps just by looking at it.

But Neil didn't care at all, constantly stroking it with his fingers, occasionally even putting his fingertip into the snake's mouth.

The sharp-faced guy felt his scalp tingle, then respectfully spoke up, "Mr. Bennett!"

Neil squinted slightly, "Sadie, what's the situation?"

Eugene and the others also paused what they were doing, crossing their legs and puffing on their cigarettes.

The sharp-faced guy, Sadie, quickly reported, "Mr. Bennett, I've been tailing James for two days. I've pretty much got his routine down. He gets up around five in the morning, jogs around the clinic, then heads to a nearby park for some morning exercises. After that, he buys breakfast and goes back. Around eight, he opens the clinic for consultations. He usually consults until six in the evening, then closes the clinic to rest, takes a walk on the street, and returns to the clinic for dinner around seven. His life is very predictable. The people he interacts with are also pretty simple, just Samuel, Nathaniel, and Jared."

He added, "Oh, and a very beautiful woman visited him. Turns out she's his ex-wife, Mary."

Sadie relayed all the tracking info to Neil, "As for Francis, I didn't see him. He's probably protecting James from the shadows."

"Very good. I like his predictability," Neil laughed wildly, with a hint of madness. "The bastard meddles too much, not only killing Leopold but also stopping my father from coming back. I've even wanted him dead in my dreams."

As he spoke, his expression turned vicious.

"Mr. Bennett, are you planning to kill him secretly?" Eugene took a sip of his drink, his smile meaningful. "James isn't much, but Francis is quite formidable."

"Forget about the people you know. Even in my circle, and I know some tough cookies, Francis would wipe the floor with almost everyone. If you want to take out James, you need something that can finish the job." He reminded Neil, "Otherwise, you might get yourself killed."

Although he looked down on James and thought James was just bluffing, he had to admit Francis's strength.

"Mr. Bell, rest assured, if I dare to make a move, I must have a trump card." Neil lowered his voice, "My father sent me The Shadow Triad, and they'll arrive in Rosewood City tomorrow morning."

The Shadow Triad?

Eugene's eyes lit up, "The Shadow Triad from Goldenspire?"

Neil nodded proudly, "Exactly."

"Mr. Bennett, you are amazing." Eugene gave a thumbs up, "Being able to invite those three top-tier fighters, they are quite famous."

They are among the most formidable fighters in Goldenspire, known for their violence, brutality, and resilience.

It's said that they have incredible skills, are bloodthirsty, and each has nearly a hundred lives on their hands. They also maintain the barbaric habit of eating raw meat.

Hearing that Neil had invited them, Eugene was genuinely surprised.

"In addition to The Shadow Triad, I've also reached out to Leopold's three senior brothers," Neil added. "I told them that Leopold was ambushed and killed by Francis."

"They're furious and are rushing over from different places. In no more than two days, Archibald, Montgomery, and Thunder, the three top hitmen, will also be in Rosewood City." A hint of mockery appeared at the corner of his mouth. "With these powerful fighters backing me, I could single-handedly take over Rosewood City."

"Mr. Bennett is truly mighty," Eugene laughed heartily. "It seems that in half a month, you won't need to leave Rosewood City. You and Mr. Bennett will be the kings here."

He and Keith looked down on people like Neil, but since they needed him to open up the situation in Rosewood City, they didn't mind buttering him up a bit.

Neil laughed along, then changed the subject. "But there's one thing that still requires Mr. Bell and Mr. Morris to negotiate. The arbitration panel ruled that we can't seek revenge or cause trouble. If we go after James and his people, we risk getting sanctioned. So we hope to get their protection."

He was very direct. "Of course, once it's done, we will properly repay Mr. Morris."

"Go ahead and do it, we will always support you," Eugene finished his drink in one gulp. "Zachary and the others will also favor you."

"And I've found out that James and Francis aren't really part of the Rosewood City circle; they're just a newly famous small-time doctor. Going after Olivia and the others would violate the agreement, but going after James and Francis won't be a problem." He added, "So go ahead and do it, Mr. Morris doesn't mind you taking out James."

Neil caught onto something. "Oh, has James offended Mr. Morris?"

"Of course, Mr. Morris lost over two billion dollars because of him, and two of his trusted subordinates were severely humiliated by him," Eugene hinted. "If it weren't for Mr. Morris's prominent status, he would have personally shot James."

He felt a bit sorry for James. After finally gaining some fame, he was doomed to have all his efforts go to waste because he offended this circle. And just a few words could crush James. Being from the lower class was an original sin.

"I understand," Neil let out a loud laugh. "I will grind James's bones to dust and help Mr. Morris vent his anger."

Eugene smiled, took a sip of his drink, and said no more.

Neil looked up at Sadie. "Sadie!"

Sadie quickly stepped forward. "Yes."

Neil's expression turned ferocious. "I can't pick on Raymond or Olivia for now, but I can crush James and his people. Sadie, go awaken our hidden people in Rosewood City. When The Shadow Triad arrives, kill James and Francis for me, using any means necessary."

"I want everyone to know the consequences of offending me," his eyes gleamed with murderous intent, "and I want Olivia to know that no one can protect the people we want to kill."

After his defeat, Neil had readjusted his plan, deciding to first deal with James and Francis, both as a way to vent and to provoke Olivia.

After killing James and Francis, if Raymond and Olivia dared to retaliate, he would immediately tear up the agreement and restart the war with Rosewood City.

Sadie respectfully replied, "Okay."

"James, Francis. For being Olivia's henchmen, you are doomed to die. And I'll kill your families and everyone around you too." Neil laughed wildly, then snapped the snake's head off, tossed the snake's body into his drink, and gulped it down.

His mouth was full of blood.
