Chapter 422 A Heavy Blow

After getting Green Wolf's call, Aurelia wasted no time. She rounded up her crew and headed straight to the villa.

Normally, she wouldn't bother with something so petty, nor would she care to watch her enemy die. But James was different.

He'd spilled coffee on her, killed Rowan, taken down Black Wolf, messed up Micah's plans at the auction, and cost him an extra ten billion dollars. Aurelia loathed James with every fiber of her being.

She wanted to be the one to send James to his grave.

The convoy arrived at the abandoned villa in no time. Aurelia, sporting sunglasses, stepped out, flanked by dozens of her loyal followers.

Micah's bodyguard, the quiet old man, was with her too.

Micah had wanted to come and see James off himself, but given his delicate position, he couldn't be at the murder scene. So he sent the old man to confirm James's identity.

"Perfect. James, you messed with the wrong people. Your time's up."

Seeing the blue and white cars and the pools of blood on the ground, Aurelia felt a rush of satisfaction, convinced it was James's blood.

Green Wolf had already filled her in on the way. James had sensed something was off at the villa, fought back, and injured two of Green Wolf's men, but was ultimately shot by Green Wolf.

Then Green Wolf had tied James to the sofa in the hall, waiting for Aurelia to finish him off personally.

Thinking about the once high-flying James now reduced to a prisoner, Aurelia couldn't help but feel elated. Killing this bastard would be a relief for both her and Micah.

Aurelia led her followers forward.

The old man lagged behind, examining the bloodstains. He noticed the blood was in different directions, with no signs of flowing between them.

He was lost in thought.

"Green Wolf, where is he?" Aurelia walked into the dim hall, feeling her vision darken and the air becoming more stale.

It was already dusk, with only the last traces of daylight remaining, so the unlit hall was darker than outside.

She could barely make out the outlines of people or objects, but couldn't identify them clearly.

Aurelia squinted slightly and waved her hand to clear the stale air.

There was no response from the hall.

Several Wolf Club elites tried to turn on the lights, but found the bulbs broken. They had to use their phones for basic illumination.

Aurelia didn't pay much attention at first; her gaze was drawn to a person in the dining room.

Though she couldn't see his face, the clothes he wore were the same as James's that afternoon.

He was tied up, his head hanging lifelessly, as if he had suffered severe blows.

Two Wolf Club members sat on chairs on either side of him, wearing earphones, seemingly listening to music.

"James, I didn't expect you to end up like this." Aurelia laughed and moved towards the dining room with her people.

She quickly approached the dining room, her followers flooding in first.

One of them instinctively reached for the light switch on the wall.

"Watch out!"

Before Aurelia could enter, a voice shouted from the doorway.

The old man leaped like a leopard, grabbing Aurelia and flipping her onto the sofa.

Almost simultaneously, the dining room switch was pressed. There were two clicks, the overhead bulb flickered, then short-circuited, sparking.

The Wolf Club elites looked up in confusion.

In the sparks, the view became clearer, revealing floating dust overhead.

Dust explosion?

Dozens of people screamed internally, and the next second, they rushed towards the entrance.

But it was too late.

The dining room, filled with flour, wood chips, and grass clippings, exploded with a loud bang. Light and heat filled the room instantly.

The dining room turned into a fiery monster, exploding into an enormous orange-gold fireball.

The raging shockwave and air blast tore through the room, ripping everything apart without mercy.

The villa's glass shattered, raining down shards.

Dozens of people screamed and fell, either dying instantly or suffering severe burns.

The scene was horrific.

Debris flew everywhere, wrecking the hall.

A piece of glass shot towards Aurelia's face, but the old man quickly knocked it away, saving her from disfigurement or death.

Aurelia wanted to rescue her companions but found it impossible. They were all covered in blood, either dead or severely injured.

A college student had died and injured dozens when flour ignited by candles at a birthday party. James's carefully prepared dining room explosion left no chance for the Wolf Club elites.

"James, you bastard, I'll kill you, I'll kill you!" Seeing the carnage, Aurelia's heart ached. "James, come out, come out!"

She couldn't believe James was so cunning. Green Wolf's attack failed, and James captured Green Wolf, lured her in, and used the materials at hand to create a dust explosion.

If the old man hadn't acted in time, she would have been severely injured or worse.

Aurelia pulled out her gun and shouted around, "James, come out!"

There was no response from James.

Only a few burned subordinates responded miserably.

Seeing their suffering, Aurelia raised her hand and fired a burst of bullets, killing five or six of her subordinates.

"Retreat." The old man, covered in dust, was also furious at James.

Outside, he had analyzed the bloodstains and found James's injury suspicious. Rushing in, he sensed the danger from the dust and immediately realized the threat.

James had set a dust explosion trap.

Dust explosions occur when combustible dust in a confined space mixes with air to form a dust cloud, which ignites and rapidly burns.

The setup was simple but extremely lethal.

The old man had warned as quickly as possible, but it was still a bit late. He only managed to save Aurelia, while dozens of Wolf Club elites were caught in the explosion.

But he didn't let hatred cloud his judgment. He pulled Aurelia out of the hall quickly.

Then they regrouped with seven or eight bodyguards outside and left.

Aurelia was unwilling, wanting to tear James apart.

But she knew it was dark, and James was prepared. If they didn't leave, they might die.

The explosion was clearly aimed at her.

Aurelia screamed hysterically, "James, I will kill you, I will kill you!"

"Damn, Aurelia's luck is incredible. She survived that." On a nearby hill, Ollie watched through night vision binoculars, expressing regret. "If only we had scattered more flour in the hall."

Despite the regret, he admired James even more. James had effortlessly caused Aurelia significant losses.

"Too bad she didn't die, but the hall was too large, not as lethal as the dining room."

James, standing nearby with his hands behind his back, said, "Forget it, killing dozens of her elites is a slap in her face."

"James, why don't we ambush her?" Ollie's eyes sparkled. "We could take her down directly."

"She has a gun, and there are still seven or eight bodyguards. And that old man seems dangerous."

James shook his head lightly. "An ambush would lead to a fierce battle, costing many lives. Let's let her go for now."

He was mainly wary of the old man, who seemed wooden but reacted swiftly to danger, indicating he was a formidable opponent.

Ollie didn't argue, changing the subject. "James, what's our next move?"

"Strike while the iron is hot." James looked at the defeated Green Wolf behind him and smiled. "You mentioned Wolf Club has a casino laundering money for Blood Medical Sect?"
