Chapter 393 Dax
Isaac was trapped in Trevor's grip, unable to fight back.
How could that be possible?
Everyone was completely stunned.
They all thought Trevor would be cursed by Molly, and even if he survived, he'd be at their mercy.
But out of nowhere, Trevor struck, sending Molly flying, crushing half her head, and grabbing the traitor Isaac.
The tables turned in an instant.
Trevor had been hiding his true strength.
Everyone had a new understanding of Trevor, and James and Gerald's smiles grew more intrigued.
Isaac was totally shocked, forgetting even the grief of Molly's sudden death, staring blankly at the Trevor he had served for years.
When did Trevor get these skills?
He'd never seen Trevor train, and he often seemed weak and prone to colds, looking like he could collapse at any moment.
Turns out Trevor's frailty was just an act.
Isaac suddenly felt like Trevor was more of a stranger to him than ever.
Isaac's face turned pale, and he gave a bitter smile. "So, you've always been suspicious of me."
Trevor shook his head slightly. "It's not about being suspicious of you. The world is just too harsh, and I've learned to always keep a card up my sleeve."
With such a vast family business, passed down through generations, without being cautious, nothing would be left.
Isaac nodded. "I get it. You've taught me another lesson."
"Actually, you were always my top choice to take over. You've endured hardships with me since childhood. I believed you could safeguard the family business."
Trevor's tone was indifferent. "But you shouldn't have been swayed by Molly, and you definitely shouldn't have turned against me for her."
Isaac's gaze softened. "I was wrong, but I don't regret it. For her, I was willing to sacrifice everything, including you and me."
"I can give you a chance to live out your days in peace."
Trevor looked at Isaac and spoke softly. "Where is the item Molly had?"
Isaac's body trembled at the words, then he looked at Trevor and smiled.
"So, it was you thirty years ago as well."
James, who was treating the poisoned victims, happened to hear this. He paused for a moment, then continued his work calmly.
Seeing James prioritize saving lives, not only did Daryl and the others nod in approval, but Gerald also showed a hint of admiration.
At this moment, Isaac continued with a bitter smile. "You've always been fixated on it..."
Trevor interrupted Isaac. "If you don't make amends, how will you face your siblings?"
"This is my way of making amends."
Suddenly, Isaac turned the gun on himself and pulled the trigger.
A gunshot rang out, and a bullet hole appeared in Isaac's head.
He took responsibility for his actions today in the simplest and most brutal way.
Everyone screamed, and the scene became chaotic.
Trevor closed his eyes slightly, his expression complex.
James rushed over, took a look, and gently shook his head at Trevor. There was no saving him.
As Isaac lay lifeless on the ground, Patricia and Olivia rushed over.
Although they had controlled the situation today and killed their nemesis Molly, the Lee family had suffered greatly, with over a hundred casualties.
So, the Lee family members cherished this rare survival.
Gerald and the others went up to congratulate Trevor.
James didn't join the celebration. He glanced at the door and then ran out.
He suddenly realized that White Shadow, who had lost her limbs, was missing.
Outside the Sky Pavilion, James sniffed the air and followed a faint scent.
White Shadow's scent was particularly distinct.
James moved quickly, passing through several buildings, a stone path, and into a house, then out the back door.
Before long, James arrived at a small courtyard belonging to the Lee family.
This area was on the outskirts of the city, where servants and bodyguards lived.
James stood silently by the door.
A sudden, eerie laugh came from the courtyard.
"White Shadow, you're back? Where's my mom?"
Then, James heard White Shadow's weak voice. "Mr. Watson, things have gone wrong."
"What?"
As White Shadow whispered, the eerie laugh abruptly stopped.
"Dead? How could my mom be dead?"
White Shadow replied in a low voice. "Mr. Watson, Ms. Watson was killed by Trevor's scheme, shot and stabbed to death..."
"Bastard!" Dax Watson roared. "The Lee family has gone too far. I'll kill them all. I'll poison their water..."
Suddenly, he changed his tone and shouted. "Who's out there?"
Clearly, he had noticed James outside.
James didn't hide. He reached out and pushed the door open.
The door swung wide.
Sunlight streamed in, but the courtyard remained gloomy.
James saw two people inside.
One was White Shadow, covered in blood and extremely weak. It was unclear how she had escaped here.
The other was a tall man with deep-set eyes, blue lips, and black nails, surrounded by an aura of death.
A living corpse.
That was James's instinctive impression.
White Shadow was shocked and began to accuse James.
"It's him. He's the one who, along with Trevor, killed Ms. Watson."
She took a few steps back, fearing James would hit her. She had already experienced his strength.
At the same time, White Shadow's eyes darted around, looking for a way to escape on one leg if things went south.
"Did you kill my mother?" Dax's voice was filled with anger. "I'll make sure you die without a trace."
James ignored him and smiled at White Shadow.
"White Shadow, thank you for leading the way. Your task is complete. You can go now."
White Shadow's movements froze.
Dax's eyes fixed on White Shadow, like a venomous snake.
"Mr. Watson, I didn't betray you." White Shadow's heart raced. "I didn't lead him here. I didn't!"
"If you didn't betray me, how did you escape when even my mother died?"
Dax roared. "Traitor, die!"
In the next second, he raised his left hand, and a black snake shot towards White Shadow.
White Shadow instinctively tried to dodge.
But unexpectedly, the snake twisted in mid-air, turned, and bit White Shadow's neck.
Its fangs sank deep.
White Shadow screamed and then fell, blood streaming from her orifices.
She died with her eyes wide open, staring at James in anger and disbelief.
Seeing White Shadow's sudden death, James felt a chill and a bit of surprise.
He hadn't expected Dax to be so easily manipulated, killing White Shadow with just a few words.
Then he realized that Dax had been in a coma for thirty years. His body had grown, but his mind remained that of a teenager, making him naive.
"Now, it's your turn to die."
Dax's body swelled, and scorpions crawled out from his collar and sleeves.
The sight was enough to make anyone shudder.
James sighed inwardly. He really didn't want to fight someone like this.
Moreover, the opponent was just a "child," making it an unfair fight.
But it seemed Dax was ready for a big fight.
With that in mind, James reached out and grabbed a handful of silver needles.
