Chapter 280 Provocation

Enemies often cross paths.

James and Keith finally met each other, their eyes shooting cold sparks.

To James, Keith had hit Mary, suppressed JZL Medical Clinic, and injured Sebastian and the others.

To Keith, the missing credit officer, The Morris Antiques, Sophie's severe injury, and the disrupted blind date were all lessons from James.

Adding to their professional rivalry, their gazes could kill each other.

However, James's eyes quickly shifted to Leila.

Leila had her hair up, wearing a small black linen suit that clung to her alluring figure.

Underneath was a silk blouse with a large collar, the pants outlining her legs, paired with black floral high heels, making her stunningly beautiful.

Leila remained as aloof as ever.

Feeling James's gaze, Leila instinctively covered her chest, her eyes showing a mix of shame and anger.

She glared fiercely at James.

"Mr. Morris, we're not with James. He barged in on his own to harass Mary." Reese was the first to react, shouting, "We were just about to kick him out."

Addison quickly chimed in, "Yes, we don't know him well. No, I dislike him. He has nothing to do with The Smith Family."

Christopher and the others also distanced themselves, clearly worried that Keith might misunderstand and bring disaster upon them.

"You guys are really timid." James mocked unceremoniously, "Don't forget, Mary is lying here because one of his men hit her. Is a bastard who almost took Mary's life worth your flattery and fawning?"

Mary also looked at Addison and the others in disappointment, feeling they were really spineless.

She could clearly see the contemptuous looks from Leila and the other women.

"Shut up!" Reese quickly scolded, "What evidence do you have that Mr. Morris hit someone? Don't make baseless accusations."

Addison hesitated and echoed, "Exactly, the police said it was an accident."

"Aunt Addison, an upright person wouldn't do things sneakily." Keith glanced playfully at James, then stepped forward with a smile, "Mary was indeed hit by one of my men.But his target at the time wasn't Mary; it was James, who was there for a blind date. He accidentally hit Mary. But regardless, I bear significant responsibility for this, so I had him imprisoned."

"Also, I came today to apologize and make amends." He placed a fruit basket on the table and snapped his fingers.

Several companions immediately handed over four boxes.

"This is a check for $1,562,500, specifically for Mary's car accident compensation. This is a commission from Stardust City Medical Bureau, for the hard-working Aunt Reese. This is a limited edition gold bracelet, for Aunt Addison." Keith was adept at winning people over.

This batch of gifts, combined with his earlier words, quickly won their hearts.

"Oh, Mr. Morris, you're too kind." Reese smiled.

Addison agreed, "Exactly, we'll be family sooner or later. Why spend this money? I knew it, Mr. Morris couldn't have hit Mary. It was James who implicated her. Mr. Morris was unintentional. James is the real culprit, the one who shouldn't be forgiven."

Reese and the others showered Keith with praise, instantly forgetting Mary's brush with death.

Keith looked at James with a victorious glint in his eyes.

James smiled faintly, "No wonder you're the young master of Stardust City. Your methods are indeed extraordinary."

Keith smiled, "This is just the beginning."

"Mom, Aunt Reese, what are you doing?" Mary saw Addison and the others beaming with joy and couldn't help but shout, "He's a murderer. Are you accepting a murderer's gifts?"

Reese defended, "That's such a bad word. Mr. Morris already explained, it was his man who intended to hit James, and you were just implicated by James."

Addison nodded without principle, her eyes only on the shiny gold bracelet.

Keith simply said, "I want to have a word with Mary."

The Smith Family members and Keith's companions left.

James didn't move. Addison was about to scold him but was stopped by Keith, allowing James to stay in the room.

The noisy hospital room quickly quieted down.

Mary looked coldly at Keith, "Mr. Morris, what exactly do you want?"

"I'm not one for beating around the bush. I like you, and I want you to be my woman." Keith scanned Mary with interest, "As long as you agree, I'll spare James and help your company through its difficulties."

Mary's face darkened, "Mr. Morris, , is this your upbringing to threaten a woman ? "

"Don't talk about that." Keith, completely ignoring James's presence, spoke bluntly, "I've checked your medical condition. Your body is a bit weak, but nothing serious. You're more than capable of having sex. Tomorrow night at eight, Hilton Hotel, room 808. Clean yourself up, dress nicely, and come to me. Oh, don't forgert to bring a flight attendant outfit. I like that."

He shed the gentle demeanor he had in front of others, speaking in an unabashedly explicit manner, "Remember, serve me well. If you do, I'll let James go the day after tomorrow. Otherwise, he and JZL Medical Clinic are finished."

Mary, deeply in love with James, not only left during the blind date but also shielded him from the car. Keith decided to shatter it.

Before Mary could explode, James stepped forward, "Get out."

Keith raised his eyes, looking at James with a nonchalant smile, "Oh, I forgot about you, James. For the next two days, take good care of Mary for me. Tomorrow night at eight, personally bring her to my room and stand guard at the door."

He provocatively added, "If anything goes wrong, we'll see what happens. Got it?"

James suddenly kicked Keith to the ground.

Keith, a mix of pain and pleasure, sneered grimly, "The woman I want to possess, you can't protect."

James, usually calm and not easily losing control, always lost his mind when it came to Mary.

Mary was familiar with this state of his, having seen it before with Joseph, a cold indifference without any emotion.

She shivered, painfully jumping off the bed to stand in front of Keith, both anxious and frantic, "James, don't be foolish, don't hit him."

Keith licked his lips and smiled, "See, Mary cares about me. Deep down, she wants to have sex with me."

Mary was furious, "Shut up."

James mechanically pulled Mary aside, "What did you just say? Say it again."

He wasn't afraid of being provoked. If Keith wanted to die, James didn't mind sending him on his way.

Keith's smile was sinister, "I will definitely have sex with Mary."

He suddenly reached out to grab Mary's waist from behind.

James kicked him flying.

Keith grunted as he fell.

The commotion quickly drew people from outside; Addison, Leila, and the others all rushed in.

James seemed oblivious, continuing forward.

His entire focus was on Keith.

"James, what are you doing?" Addison shouted, "How dare you assault Mr. Morris?"

Reese was also startled, trying to stop him but was casually pushed aside by James.

Keith's companions were like paper, coldly thrown to the ground by James.

Keith signaled to Leila.

Leila lowered her left hand, revealing a gun in her palm.

"James, are you crazy!" At that moment, Mary screamed and rushed over, slapping James across the face.

The slap halted James's steps.

Mary bit her lip, her hand trembling.

She didn't know how she managed to slap him, but she was really afraid James would hurt Keith.

Regardless of anything else, James couldn't touch him in public because of Keith's status.

James looked at Mary, said nothing, and walked out of the room.
