Chapter 424 Killing and Destroying the Heart

The dice cup and dice rolled across the table.

These were just regular items from the mall, the kind you'd find in any bar. Nothing suspicious about them.

To convince James, Aurelia even had a few guests come up and check them out.

After confirming there were no tricks with the gambling tools, White Wolf suddenly grabbed the black dice cup with her right hand, her arm inked with a proud and lively White Wolf tattoo.

She held the dice cup like a king holding a scepter, radiating a charm that demanded respect.

Her eyes sparkled, drawing everyone in, even James found White Wolf stunning.

"Hold on." Aurelia looked at James and said, "James, with your billion-dollar fortune, betting a million dollars at a time seems a bit boring, doesn't it?"

James laughed and replied, "Are you suggesting we bet 100 million dollars at a time, Ms. Kingsley?"

Aurelia's eyes lit up. "You're the guest, I'm the dealer. If you dare, I'll take you on."

"Alright, Ms. Kingsley, since you're so straightforward, I won't hold back." James whipped out a check and wrote it out in one go: [100 million dollars.]

The crowd gasped, not expecting James to have so much money.

Several women who had previously disliked James suddenly had a glint of interest in their eyes.

Aurelia chuckled. "Alright, let's start, we won't need to exchange chips."

She also wrote out a check and placed it straight on the table.

If she didn't need to lure James into a trap step by step, she would have started with a billion dollars to quickly win back that ten billion dollars.

"It's settled then." James smiled, picked up the check, and looked at White Wolf. "Let's begin."

Hearing the big bet, other guests from the cabins rushed over.

The hall quickly filled with hundreds of people, all eager to watch.

White Wolf didn't waste any time, her right hand shook the dice cup.

The cup flew through the air like a shooting star, spinning silently.

The speed at which the dice rotated inside the cup was astonishing.

The crowd was mesmerized by her technique, secretly impressed by White Wolf's skill.

White Wolf kept her eyes fixed on James, her gaze piercing, suppressing his last bit of confidence.

Thirty seconds later, White Wolf slammed the dice cup onto the table with a loud bang.

Aurelia stepped forward and looked at James. "Betting high or low?"

"Move your hand." James signaled White Wolf to move her hand. "I'm betting high!"

Then he pointed to a middle-aged guest. "Could you please open it for me?"

Aurelia nodded. "Alright, a third party will open it."

The middle-aged guest smiled and opened the lid.

He shouted, "Four, four, five, thirteen points, high!"

"I won." James jumped up in excitement. "I won!"

The other guests were stunned, almost cheering along, as this was James's first correct guess.

White Wolf frowned slightly but said nothing, maintaining her charm.

"That's lucky for you." Aurelia glanced at White Wolf, then hummed at James, "Win three rounds in a row if you can."

James took Aurelia's check and smiled, "Don't worry, I'll make sure to satisfy you."

"Okay, let's go next round!" James had someone bring the second set of dice and shouted at White Wolf, "Hurry up, no tricks."

White Wolf didn't waste any time, picked up the dice cup and dice, and started shaking.

This time, it was even faster and louder, and soon she placed it on the table.

She moved her hands away, waiting quietly for James to bet.

James placed the two checks on the table. "Betting high again!"

Aurelia had a young girl come up. "Open it!"

The young girl carefully lifted the lid. "Three, six, six, fifteen points, high."

"I won again." James shouted, "Thank you, Ms. Kingsley, thank you all for your support."

The crowd gasped, surprised that James won again. Was he starting to get lucky?

Aurelia's breathing quickened, then she handed two checks to James.

In just two rounds, Aurelia lost 300 million dollars.

White Wolf's frown deepened.

Aurelia's eyelids twitched, then she said indifferently, "Continue."

"Sure!" James had someone bring the third set of dice to White Wolf. "Thank you, you're really my good luck charm, letting me win two rounds in a row."

White Wolf ignored James, took the dice, and started shaking again, the speed dazzling.

Shortly after, she slammed the dice cup onto the table. The sound of the dice instantly disappeared.

She looked at James and spoke for the first time, "Still high?"

James didn't respond, just waved the four checks, each worth 100 million. "Can you handle it?"

"Childish!" Aurelia laughed angrily, wrote a 400-million-dollar check, and slapped it on the table. "Bring it on."

Despite her confident shout, she felt a bit heavy-hearted. Losing would mean losing seven billion dollars, almost two months' profit.

James laughed heartily. "Great, great, I love your style. But this time, I'll bet low."

White Wolf's body stiffened instantly.

"I'll open it." A bespectacled guest volunteered to open the lid, revealing three sixes, eighteen points, the highest possible score.

The crowd gasped in unison.

Aurelia let out a long breath, her tightly furrowed brow finally relaxing.

"James, you should have stuck to your guns, then you could have won three rounds in a row."

"Too bad, your stance wasn't firm, not only did you not win the third round, but you also lost all your money in one go, back to square one."

Aurelia couldn't help but laugh, thinking James had some skill after winning two rounds, but it turned out he was just lucky.

Aurelia's laughter was wild and charming, piercing everyone's hearts.

She seemed to see James's fate of losing everything tonight.

The guests sighed, realizing James's luck wasn't good after all.

But James wasn't nervous; he laughed along, confusing everyone!

Aurelia laughed even more wildly, "Losing and still laughing? Fool!"

In her laughter, however, two dice silently turned to powder, leaving only one dice stood in the middle of the powder, particularly striking—Six.

This dramatic result shocked everyone, and Aurelia's laughter was abruptly cut off!

The bespectacled guest started to read the dice but stopped after one, realizing there were only three dice left.

"Six points, low!" He shouted.

James gently blew, scattering the powder.

Aurelia's expression was one of extreme shock; she couldn't believe the dice had turned to dust.

"White Wolf is truly skilled." James looked at the pale-faced White Wolf and smiled. "Too bad, she overestimated me."

Aurelia's voice deepened. "What do you mean?"

"White Wolf saw me win two rounds and thought I could hear the dice, so she used her skill to shake out three sixes and used her strength to crush two dice." James explained White Wolf's plan. "If I could hear the dice, I would have known it was three sixes and bet high."

"Then she would blow the dice, leaving only one six, and according to the rules, I would lose."

"But she didn't expect that I'm just a doctor, not skilled in hearing dice, so my random bet broke her plan."

"Ms. Kingsley, sorry, I won again. Thank you for the money; you're truly generous."

James's explanation enlightened everyone and made Aurelia's face look grim.

White Wolf's face turned pale as she looked at James, certain he had cheated, otherwise, he couldn't have won three rounds in a row against her.

But she couldn't find any flaw in James's actions.

Aurelia's eyes were fierce as she looked at White Wolf, feeling disappointed that she couldn't handle even a barefoot doctor.

Suddenly, James's expression darkened, and he shouted at Aurelia, "Now you can't deny you were cheating. When I used your ship's dice, everyone saw me lose twenty rounds in a row, losing twenty million dollars in less than an hour."

"After switching to regular dice bought from the mall, I won three rounds in a row. Is it your luck running out, or was there something wrong with the dice?"

"And White Wolf can crush dice to set a trap, isn't that real cheating? How can we ordinary people compete with you?"

"I'm done playing, and I'll never come here again, too shady."

"But I advise you, those who do wrong will face consequences. The guests who come here aren't fools! Deceiving them like this is unforgivable!"

After saying that, the righteous James left with the check.

The crowd erupted.

"No wonder I lost so much tonight."

"Yeah, I lost over six million dollars the other day, never won at Texas Hold'em."

"I'm worse, lost at Seven Card Stud, always beaten by the dealer."

"Me too, lost at roulette, thought it was bad luck, but now I see they were cheating."

"I even recommended friends to come. We'll never come back."

"Yeah, too despicable, cheating us out of our money, treating us like fools."

"No way, we must get our money back."

Hundreds of guests surrounded Aurelia, shouting, "Refund!"

Frustrated, Aurelia spat out a mouthful of blood. "James, I'll kill you," she cursed.
