Chapter 86 Struck from Both Sides

Crazy!

Utterly mad!

These were not the words of a sane person.

Jennifer and Donna exchanged mocking glances.

"Good, very good." Harry laughed in anger. "This is the first time I've met someone with such audacity."

"Jacob, no matter what you said, I'm going after your friend." Harry gave an order. "Take him down."

Three bodyguards stepped forward, drawing their guns and aiming at James.

Just then, a flash of gold caught the eye. Three bodyguards let out a scream as a golden dart appeared in each of their wrists.

Blood flowed freely, and their guns fell to the ground.

"Who did this?" Having been publicly challenged repeatedly, Harry was now utterly enraged. "I'll kill his entire family."

"Kill my entire family? The Jones family sure has a lot of audacity. Even I, Raymond, am on your hit list. If I didn't know any better, I'd think the Jones family ruled Rosewood City."

A cold yet domineering voice echoed from the entrance. Soon after, Raymond appeared, surrounded by Taylor and his crew.

The onlookers, upon seeing Raymond, respectfully greeted him, "Mr. Clark!"

Harry's face dramatically changed.

Although the Thousand Treasures Corporation was a legitimate antique group, Harry knew that when it became angry, it had enough power to crush the Jones family ten times over.

Raymond initially made his fortune by smuggling antiques, and the blood on his hands was many times more than that of Jacob.

Moreover, to become an antiques giant dealing with thousands of treasures, Raymond couldn't possibly be the good and innocent entity people thought he was.

Rumors had it that Raymond maintained a sizable private army overseas to ensure the mining and transportation of jade.

So, Harry couldn't afford to provoke this powerful figure.

"Do you intend to wipe out my entire family, Harry?" Raymond, leaning on his cane, stared at Harry. "Why don't you phone your father and see if he dares to utter such words?"

"Mr. Clark, Mr. Clark, I apologize. I was wrong." Harry, changing his arrogant demeanor, repeatedly bowed and apologized.

Raymond spoke coldly, "Kneel and apologize to James."

Donna and the others were stunned. Wasn't James just a useless freeloader? How did he manage to get Jacob and Raymond to stand up for him?

Jennifer was exhausted, wondering why dealing with James was so troublesome.

Harry's face contorted. "I..."

Raymond slapped him. "Apologize."

Harry's cheek throbbed with pain. "Mr. Clark, this is a misunderstanding."

Raymond slapped him again. "Apologize."

It was an awkward situation.

Just moments ago, Harry was full of bravado, threatening to ruin James. Now, he appeared utterly defeated.

Harry bit his lip and said, "For my father's sake."

Raymond slapped him once more. "Apologize."

Harry's face was swollen.

He gritted his teeth and apologized to James. "James, I'm sorry."

At the same time, his heart was filled with venomous hatred.

He would remember this humiliation and repay James with interest.

James said, "Are you deaf? Have you forgotten what I just said? Kneel, apologize, and compensate."

James smeared the wine on his body all over Harry's face.

"You." Harry instinctively shouted, "Don't push me too far."

James slapped him to the ground, "But I want to."

James slapped Harry, sending him sprawling, "And what are you gonna do?"

Harry was furious. "Bastard."

James stomped on Harry again, flipping him over like a turtle.

Harry's bodyguards instinctively stepped forward, only to be deterred by Taylor's icy stare.

Seeing Harry pinned under James's foot, Donna and the others were stunned.

Jennifer's mind was racing. The powerful backing she had just secured was actually being trampled underfoot by James.

She couldn't accept this reality.

She wanted to see James humble and fearful, begging on his knees like when he borrowed money, not the confident figure he was now.

"James, that's too far." Harry angrily shook off James's foot. "What do you think you are doing?"

James slapped him again. "I'm bullying you."

Harry roared in rage, "What do you want?"

"Kneel, apologize." James slapped him again without mercy. "Compensate for ruining my meal."

Raymond also became serious and asked, "Can't you understand what James is saying?"

Harry felt incredibly humiliated. He wanted to rage and shoot James dead, but Raymond's aura kept him in check.

He thought about recklessly lashing out at Raymond and Jacob together, venting his anger and then fleeing.

But he knew that if he did that, the entire Jones family would be buried with him.

At the same time, Harry noticed that the Clark's bodyguards had already taken advantageous positions, their right hands on their waists, ready to fight.

Unable to vent his anger, he finally knelt. "Fine, fine, you win. James, no, Mr. Williams, I'm sorry, I was wrong."

Then, Harry wrote a check for one hundred thousand dollars to James. "Please spare me."

Harry's face was full of smiles, but his eyes were filled with murderous intent.

James didn't care, took the check, and spoke, "There you go."

Jacob also laughed. "Exactly. If you had done this earlier, you wouldn't have been beaten, Harry. Go home and pray. You saved your life today."

What he tried to say was that Harry had wisely backed down, avoiding James's wrath. Otherwise, Harry might have lost his life today.

For a man who could effortlessly kill Barbie, killing Harry was a piece of cake.

But for Harry, he thought the misfortune tonight was all brought by Raymond. Otherwise, he could have crushed James like an ant.

Not to mention money and power, just in terms of physical strength, he could have crushed James several times over.

"James, don't give me a chance, or I'll kill you." Harry gritted his teeth and stood up, his eyes full of hatred as he whispered, "Even your family will suffer."

James turned around, his eyes instantly cold.

Harry was on his hit list.

Harry and his gang quickly left in a huff. Jennifer and Donna's faces were full of sorrow. Why was it so hard to crush James' arrogant bravado?

The restaurant quickly regained its calm. Jacob walked over to James and said, "James, Harry is a madman. He dared to offend Carl for a woman ten years ago. It's troublesome to be on his radar. Should we...?" Jacob made a throat-slitting gesture.

James responded casually, "Don't bother. I'll handle it."

He didn't want to trouble Jacob with this, seeing that Jacob had his pile of problems.

"Alright, then you deal with it." Jacob had full confidence in James. "If you need anything, just say it. I won't hesitate."

However, he still signaled to several of his men to keep an eye on Harry around the clock in case the madman took the opportunity to retaliate.

Raymond, who was not far away, gave James a few more glances when he heard this. Apart from Aaron, this was the first time he had seen Jacob help someone.

This made him appreciate James even more.

Jacob exchanged a few words with James and Raymond before hurriedly leaving. There would be a lot of action tonight.
