Chapter 431 The Dragon's Breath Elders
James originally had no interest in Sky Wolf, thinking he was just another guy like Black Wolf. But when he heard about The Dragon's Breath, his curiosity was piqued.
So, he started asking Ivy for more information.
However, Ivy's knowledge was limited. After half an hour of questioning, James only learned that Sky Wolf was a member of The Dragon's Breath who had been turned by the Blood Medical Sect and now served as the president of the Wolf Club.
Sky Wolf not only collaborated with Aurelia to funnel medical benefits to the Blood Medical Sect but also helped the Lumaria government root out several undercover agents from The Dragon's Breath, making him a valuable asset to the Blood Medical Sect.
Of course, the Blood Medical Sect sacrificed a few key members to cover for him.
Sky Wolf's identity was incredibly mysterious. Apart from Aurelia, no one knew his true face, not even Ivy or Rowan.
After hearing all this, James called Ollie to have Ivy taken away and detained.
The information Ivy provided was valuable, but James didn't know who to share it with. He wrote down the names Riley, Mrs. Garcia, and Brandon, pondering who would be the best person to relay this intel.
Just then, his phone rang. James put on his headset and answered, soon hearing a soft, alluring voice, "James, are you asleep? Want me to come over and warm your bed?"
Olivia was as charming as ever.
James chuckled, "I was about to sleep. How come you have time to call?"
"What? I can't call you?" Olivia's voice was full of playful questioning, "Are you worried Mary will get jealous, or that I'll cling to you?"
"Let me remind you, you're contracted to me for a year. It's written in black and white." She huffed, "If Mary wants to get close to you, she has to pay her respects at my door first."
James sighed, "I just thought you've been so busy lately. I'm touched you found time to call."
Olivia laughed, giving James no room to escape, "You dare say I'm busy? Why don't you help me out then?"
"I know I'm not Mary; when she has trouble, you rush to her aid." Her tone carried a hint of grievance, "The scene at the auction was quite moving."
James felt like he was going crazy. "At Sky Pavilion, I stood in front of you too."
"Here's your chance!" Olivia's laugh was soft and teasing, "If Mary and I fell into the water, who would you save first?"
James shouted into the phone, "Sorry, I can't hear you. The signal might be dead."
"Stop dodging. Leo Villa has bad signal? The whole Glowing Oasis wouldn't need phones then."
Olivia saw she had teased James enough. "I called tonight because I need your help with something."
James quickly returned to normal. "Anything you say."
"An old friend of the Lee family came to Glowing Oasis for medical treatment with his daughter two days ago." Olivia's tone became more serious. "He wanted to see Daryl, but he suddenly retreated for some reason."
"He was disappointed, and his daughter's condition isn't good. I thought you could take a look." She added softly, "With your skills, I'm sure you can help."
James was touched. He knew this person must be important and beneficial to his career, or Olivia wouldn't introduce him casually.
Olivia was always thinking of ways to help him.
James nodded. "No problem. I have time tomorrow. I can go with you. By the way, what's the patient's background?"
"He's with The Dragon's Breath, not active on the front lines." Olivia didn't hide anything. "But his identity is significant. He helped the Lee family a lot when they had trouble overseas."
"My grandfather also sponsored The Dragon's Breath during its rise." She laughed, adding, "But he has a bit of a temper, so be prepared."
James's eyes lit up. "Someone from The Dragon's Breath?"
"Yes, he's considered a veteran of The Dragon's Breath." Olivia nodded. "You'll learn more about him later."
After hanging up, James crossed out Riley and the others' names.
Meeting someone from The Dragon's Breath tomorrow meant he wouldn't need them to relay the information. He'd have to verify it himself anyway.
The next morning, after breakfast, Olivia arrived in a Ferrari.
The fancy car and the stunning woman caught the attention of many passersby, including Coralie, who squinted slightly.
James ignored the stares, gave Samantha some instructions, and got into the car.
Olivia hit the gas, and the car sped away, her flowing hair mesmerizing Coralie's beautiful eyes.
Half an hour later, they arrived at Sunrise Private Clinic, a place for the wealthy and powerful, inaccessible to ordinary people.
Besides the heavily guarded entrance, the medical staff were all from prestigious medical schools, even the janitors had medical degrees.
Olivia led James to a white building, made a few calls, and the guards let them in.
Soon, they reached the fifth floor.
In a spacious hospital room, James saw several people around a little girl, whispering.
The girl was about five or six years old, very cute.
One man was tall and burly, standing like a mountain, unmovable.
James sensed that this wasn't just a mountain, but a volcano, ready to erupt at any moment, and it would be hard to resist.
Olivia whispered to James, "Byron Reyes, the patient is Matilda Reyes."
"The doctor is Matilda's attending physician, Dean Palmer." She pointed to a doctor with gold-rimmed glasses.
James nodded. "Got it."
He looked at Matilda. Her body functions were fine, but she had no sensation, lying in bed for half a year, essentially a vegetative state according to Olivia.
Byron noticed Olivia and smiled, "Olivia, you're here?"
Olivia quickly introduced, "Mr. Reyes, good morning. This is James, whom I mentioned last night."
Byron extended his hand to James. "Dr. Williams, nice to meet you."
James didn't act superior, "Mr. Reyes, nice to meet you."
"I heard you cured hundreds of the Lee family members and treated Mr. Miller's lung abscess." Byron laughed heartily, "Young man, impressive, very impressive."
Though he thought James was too young, the gathered information and Olivia's recommendation made him believe James was worth a try.
James smiled, "Thank you for the compliment."
"May I do a quick examination?" He didn't waste time and directly looked at the patient.
