Chapter 109 Seized the Credit

Nathaniel was hurled a distance of about 25 feet, with one side of his face noticeably inflamed.

He was furious. "Bastard, you dare hit me. I'll kill you. Guys, get him."

Several companions responded and surrounded James, only to be kicked away, groaning in pain on the ground.

Nathaniel shouted, "If you have the guts, kill me now. Don't give me a chance to call for help, or I'll definitely kill you all."

Nathaniel was shocked by James's prowess and then became even more enraged. He had always been the bully. When had he ever been bullied like this?

James didn't waste words, kicked him away again, and then turned to Olivia. "Move the RV. I'll rescue the person."

Olivia immediately got into the driver's seat and carefully moved the RV forward.

"Don't move it." Seeing this, Nathaniel rushed up again.

James kicked him away once more.

"Do you know who I am? Do you know the consequences of your actions?" Nathaniel glared at James, his face twisted with rage. "You're marked. Just you wait."

A red-haired girl, flirtatious and provocative, likely Nathaniel's girlfriend, looked distraught. She yelled at James, "You're in trouble. I'm not kidding."

She warned James, "He's really powerful."

James's face turned cold. "Get lost."

Nathaniel and his companions took out their phones to call for help. Just then, a muffled sound from the car sounded, and a flame shot up.

The gasoline on the ground ignited.

With a gust of wind, the fire spread instantly, crackling loudly.

Nathaniel and his companions' faces changed slightly. They exchanged glances and quickly fled the scene, clearly worried that the car might explode and kill them.

As they left, Nathaniel took a photo of James with his phone, planning to deal with him later. James ignored them and rushed to the front of the Beetle, kicking away the burning debris with his left foot.

He then tore off the shattered windshield, ignoring the flames, and climbed in to unbuckle the seatbelt and carry the girl out.

As he came out, a driver's license and registration fell to the ground. James glanced at them and saw the car owner's name was Gabriella Cox.

Without thinking much, he pocketed the items and moved Gabriella to the guardrail.

"Not good, three broken ribs, internal bleeding, organ damage." James quickly diagnosed Gabriella's condition, and sweat instantly beaded on his forehead.

He had used up his seven white lights to save David Miller and had been busy dealing with Jesse and Harry these past two days without treating any patients to recover.

So Gabriella's condition made James get serious.

However, he quickly calmed down and took out silver needles to start treating Gabriella. James didn't use the Nine Palace Reviving Needle this time. Instead, he employed a different method.

In this situation, he couldn't focus on the needles to bring the patient back to life, only to temporarily sustain her life.

James swiftly inserted the silver needles into various points on Gabriella's body, locking in her life force.

Soon, Gabriella stopped spitting blood, her breathing became steady, and her pale face improved.

When James inserted the ninth needle, Gabriella's heaving chest and abdomen finally calmed down like a receding tide.

Her condition clearly improved!

She opened her beautiful eyes, her lips trembling with difficulty. No sound came out, but James could make out, "Thank you."

James softly replied, "You're welcome."

Just then, an ambulance arrived with a wail, and three medical personnel jumped out.

One of them instinctively called out, "James?"

James looked up at the sound. "Lydia?"

The lead doctor was Alice's daughter, Lydia.

She looked a bit embarrassed, not expecting to run into James here. After being humiliated at the Thousand Treasures Corporation last time, Lydia didn't want to see James again.

Lydia didn't waste words with James. "We received a call for help. There's a car accident victim here. Where is the person?"

At the same time, she felt disappointed. Why wasn't James the one injured in the car accident?

Although James was surprised that Lydia had become a doctor, he pointed to Gabriella and said, "There's an injured person here. She's in serious condition, but I've temporarily stabilized her."

"Take her back for proper surgery," James reminded her. But don't remove the needles."

"You just temporarily stabilized her condition?" Lydia shouted angrily, "Who gave you the permission to touch the injured? Don't you know that you're not supposed to move someone after a car accident? You're not a doctor, and you don't have a medical license. If anything goes wrong, how will you take responsibility? James, I'm going to report this to the police and the family. If anything happens, you'll be the one going to jail."

Lydia scolded him harshly, then had two nurses carry Gabriella away.

She wasn't really concerned about the patient; the patient's life or death had nothing to do with her. She just took the opportunity to vent her old grievances.

The ambulance quickly closed its doors, and James shouted as he remembered something. "Don't remove the needles."

Lydia didn't listen and had the driver leave immediately.

Half an hour later, the ambulance arrived at Rosewood City First Hospital, where Katherine and the doctors were already waiting.

As soon as the vehicle stopped, they rushed over to take Gabriella.

Seeing her covered in blood with many wounds and sunken ribs, they knew the situation was grim and immediately began examining her.

But as soon as they hooked her up to the machines and took X-rays, Katherine and the others were stunned.

The patient's injuries were severe, with three ribs nearly puncturing her spleen, but her heartbeat and breathing were stable, and the internal bleeding was under control.

Katherine quickly noticed the nine silver needles on the patient and confirmed they were stabilizing her condition.

Such high-level medical skills.

Katherine sincerely exclaimed, then looked approvingly at Lydia. "Lydia, you're quite the hidden gem. You managed to stabilize such severe injuries. With just nine simple silver needles, you saved a life. It's nothing short of a miracle."

Other doctors also praised her.

"Yes, in this situation, anyone else would have likely died on the way."

"Lydia, you've been hiding your skills well."

"Not just hiding, but also very humble. You have the skills of an attending physician but follow orders as a nurse."

"Lydia, you must teach us more in the future."

Miracle?

Lydia was initially stunned. She hadn't entered the hospital through normal channels and was just slacking off, having learned basic first aid on the fly. She didn't know how to use silver needles to save lives.

Lydia thought, 'Could it have been James?'

The thought crossed Lydia's mind, but she kept silent. She feigned modesty and waved her hand dismissively. "My mom always said that truly talented people will eventually reveal their abilities. There's no need to compete for recognition. I naturally prefer modesty and maintaining a low profile."

She said earnestly, "I didn't even want to come out for rescue tonight, but I couldn't shirk my duty when faced with a patient."

Katherine looked even more impressed. "Lydia, I didn't expect you to possess not only exceptional medical skills but also such a strong sense of responsibility. I admit I underestimated you before. At tomorrow's meeting, I'll definitely praise your actions. I'll recommend to our director that you be considered for a promotion, perhaps even to a deputy director position in another department."

She gave high praise. "A talent like you shouldn't be overlooked."

Lydia was thrilled. "Thank you, Mrs. Gomez."

Katherine added, "Lydia, I have more good news. The person you saved is the daughter of Andrew from the Thompson family."

Another female doctor said enviously, "If Mr. Andrew knows you saved his daughter, he'll definitely reward you handsomely."

Andrew's daughter?

This time, it was truly a stroke of luck.

Lydia's body trembled with excitement, feeling like her life was about to reach its peak.
