Chapter 394 Convinced

Almost at the same time, Dax let out a roar, his arms thrusting down with force, sending a dozen scorpions flying toward James.

James flicked his wrist, and silver needles shot out.

The scorpions were pinned to the ground by the needles, writhing desperately but unable to break free.

Seeing this, Dax was devastated. He had raised these scorpions with his own blood and sweat since he woke up, and now they were killed in an instant. How could he accept this?

"I'll kill you!"

Dax raised his arm, and a small black snake shot forward like an arrow toward James.

James was slightly startled, raised his hand, and shot two silver needles, but the snake agilely dodged them.

As James silently acknowledged the snake's agility, it had already lunged at him. He quickly extended two fingers and clamped the snake's head.

The snake's body coiled around James's wrist. Without hesitation, James crushed the snake's head. His reaction was incredibly fast, but even so, his fingers and wrist felt a burning pain. He was poisoned.

As James paused slightly, Dax raised both hands again, sending dozens of centipedes rushing over.

James scattered the remaining silver needles, pinning ninety percent of the centipedes to the ground. At the same time, he clapped his palms, knocking five or six centipedes to the ground. But his palms felt another sharp pain, adding more wounds.

Dax's Gu Sorcery was truly formidable.

James quickly turned the Life Gem, forcing the toxins out, and stomped the centipedes to death.

"You're not afraid of my Gu Sorcery?"

Seeing this, Dax was shocked. He had thrown everything he had at James, yet James was unharmed.

James snorte, "Child's play."

"Then I'll fight you head-on."

Dax stopped using Sorcerous Poison and pulled out a long whip, swinging it toward James with great momentum.

The whip moved like a fierce wind, agile as a snake, filling the courtyard with its shadows in an instant.

James pushed off with his feet, his body soaring into the air, spinning gracefully to dodge Dax's attack.

The whip missed James but shattered the wooden door behind him. The power was astonishing.

Before James landed, he felt his ankle tighten, already caught by the whip. Then, a tremendous force threw him into the air. In mid-air, there was no leverage.

James decided not to struggle, grabbed a stone shard, and mercilessly shot it toward Dax.

Dax's face changed dramatically, he knelt, leaned back, and bent his waist, causing the stone shard to miss.

Taking advantage of this gap, James shook off the whip, landed on his feet, and retreated swiftly.

The next second, the two were entangled again, moving extremely fast, like lightning.

In a moment, they had exchanged dozens of blows.

James had to admit, Dax was exceptionally strong, especially his agility, surpassing both Molly and White Shadow. It seemed Dax hadn't just been sleeping for thirty years; his body had been refined.

Undoubtedly, Molly had been improving his physique for thirty years.

In the fierce battle, James advanced instead of retreating, instantly closing in on Dax.

He unleashed a series of punches, powerful and heavy.

But Dax blocked all of them.

The harder James hit, the stronger Dax's defense. The faster James moved, the quicker Dax followed. In short, Dax kept up with James's rhythm, meeting him head-on.

Thirty-six punches, each landing solidly.

"Awesome, awesome, this is awesome!"

Dax suddenly seemed to forget his hatred, laughing like a fool. "More!"

"Today, either you kill me, or I kill you."

"Breaking Stones!"

James threw another punch, bypassing Dax's hands, aiming straight for his chest.

This was the first move of the Breaking the Military Fist Technique he had taught Samuel.

But when the punch, filled with lethal intent, hit Dax's rough chest, it only made a metallic clashing sound. Dax's defense was incredible.

James didn't slow down at all.

He leaped into the air, executing the second move.

"Mountain Shaking!"

The punch came down from above, hitting Dax's palm with full force.

Previously calm, Dax felt his whole body tremble, his legs buckling under the force of the attack. At the same time, the light in his eyes dimmed significantly.

"Awesome, I haven't felt this good in a long time, more!"

Dax spat out a breath, laughing again. "More!"

James didn't waste words, his right hand sinking, using ninety percent of his strength.

Dax looked up at James, his face wary.

He felt that the James in his sight seemed different, covered in a layer of chilling aura.

What surprised him even more was that although he could clearly see James's figure, he couldn't sense James's presence. It was as if James had become air.

But the power emanating from him was suddenly overwhelming.

"Take this." James's voice came, cold and emotionless.

"Give it your best shot, don't disappoint me." Dax's eyes widened. "If you can knock me down, I won't seek revenge. Whenever I see you, I'll stay as far away as possible."

"But if not, I'll knock you down."

"Die!" James shouted, and the air around them suddenly grew heavy.

The atmosphere was filled with killing intent.

Dax's heart trembled, his gaze fixed on James.

With a shout, James punched towards Dax.

At that moment, the sky above James was covered in dark clouds.

The punch landed!

Dax blocked with all his might.

With a loud bang, Dax's palm bled, his clothes torn.

He was shocked, his whole body surging with energy.

But it was useless.

James's punch was unprecedented, filled with a determination to achieve his goal at all costs.

Dax could almost feel the breath of death.

The next second, Dax knelt down.

The stone bricks on the ground shattered into dozens of pieces.

This time, he had no chance to resist.

He knelt before James, unable to move.

James raised a foot, placing it on Dax's shoulder:

"Do you submit?"

The weight of the foot was overwhelming, making resistance impossible.

Dax's body trembled.

He hadn't expected James's strength to be this terrifying.

Dax's Gu Sorcery skills weren't as good as Molly's, but his combat and endurance abilities surpassed hers, making him a notable figure in Shadow Valley.

But not only did he fail to kill James, he was instead beaten to the point of helplessness.

Dax felt despair.

"Do you submit?" James spoke calmly, "If not, I'll send you to meet Molly."

His eyes showed killing intent.

Though it was humiliating, Dax didn't want to die. He had just woken up; he wasn't ready to die.

"Since you submit, think of a way to make me feel at ease."

James's voice remained calm. "I don't want you constantly thinking about my head."

James didn't kill him mainly because he felt pity for him, a sacrificial pawn with limited intelligence. Killing him would be like bullying a child.

"I'll recognize you as my master. I can give you control over my life Gu."

Dax was nearly spitting blood, but his eyes showed no defiance. He handed James a bell.

"This is the Hell Bell, it controls the Fire Lotus inside me."

"Every year, you must ring the bell nine times to awaken a Fire Lotus seed, or I'll die cold."
